In a touching scene from Alkmaar, Netherlands, a video captures the recovery of a frail pigeon under the care of a compassionate local. Filmed on September 1 and 2, 2021, the footage features Sara Bes as she rescues the bird and tends to him at her home. 'Just as I was about to leave work, my colleagues and I noticed a pigeon in distress in the water,' Sara recounted. 'We decided to help, and I transported him on my bike after realizing the animal ambulance couldn't assist.' Initially doubtful of the pigeon’s survival due to its youth and fragility, she dried him with a hairdryer at home. The next morning, she was relieved to see he had improved and was eating. After nurturing him, Sara brought the pigeon to an animal shelter for further care, where she was informed he would soon be able to fly again.
