00:00Thank you so much for joining us.
00:52Thank you so much for joining us.
01:00Thank you so much for joining us.
01:04Thank you so much for joining us.
01:04It's been a while.
01:05I know.
01:06We haven't seen it.
01:07Three years.
01:08Yes.
01:09But how are you?
01:10I'm doing great.
01:12Just like at the final stretch of the pregnancy.
01:14How long are you?
01:16Seven months.
01:18Oh, okay.
01:19So, two months and I'm done.
01:21But if you have a date, you can assign a date or you can choose a date?
01:27Well, I think for now, I could anytime in October.
01:31Yeah.
01:32But we don't have a date yet.
01:33We'll see after a few checkups.
01:35Either Libra or Scorpio.
01:37So, kumusta?
01:38Ang pagbubuntis?
01:39I'm doing good.
01:40It's just a lot of hormones, of course.
01:43And, you know, I couldn't imagine how hard it is to be pregnant.
01:48It's not an easy thing.
01:49What was your impression before about women who were pregnant?
01:53Well, I thought, first of all, it's easy to get pregnant.
01:56You know, I thought one month and then you get pregnant immediately.
01:59But it wasn't that way with me.
02:03And I underestimated a lot the hormones and, you know, just everything that comes with it.
02:08I think I have a lot of, you know, respect for mothers, to be honest.
02:14Because I experienced it myself and it's really not easy.
02:17That's really good.
02:19Celeste, what excites you the most?
02:22And what's your fear of being a mother?
02:27I just feel like definitely it's a new experience.
02:31I always wanted to be a young mom before 30.
02:34So, it's just like, even when I think about it, like just the fact that I'm growing a human from
02:43scratch.
02:44You know, it's a lot of work and I just cannot wait to meet him.
02:47And just, you know, learn also because I don't have everything figured out as well.
02:54And I'm just very, very much excited to see what's to come.
02:59And again, I always wanted to be a young mom.
03:02So, this was the greatest opportunity for me.
03:04This makes this whole thing really exciting.
03:07Yeah.
03:07That's a new chapter in your life when you become a young mother.
03:11What changed your life?
03:12How did it change?
03:14How did it change?
03:14Because of the baby?
03:16Because of the pregnancy?
03:17Yeah.
03:18Honestly, I think it was just a lot.
03:21I wouldn't say it was unexpected because we wanted to have a baby.
03:27But, you know, once you see the positive pregnant test, like you're kind of shocked.
03:33So, I feel like we kind of entered this chapter wanting to be good parents and just, you know,
03:40take care of the baby.
03:41And it came with a lot of changes as well because, you know, again, as I said earlier,
03:46there are a lot of hormones, changes.
03:49I also came up with so many insecurities as well.
03:53Everything came out.
03:56So, even, you know, like seeing my body changing, it hasn't been easy.
04:01So, definitely, I was looking for a lot of support.
04:05And luckily, Johnny also supported me in, you know.
04:08In many ways, yes.
04:10Yeah, making me feel like I'm still like beautiful and it's still me.
04:14How's your mom?
04:15My mom is very happy.
04:18Definitely, she would want to be here with me because she hasn't seen me pregnant at all.
04:23So, we just do video calls.
04:25We talk.
04:26Hopefully, she will come here for Christmas so she can also be with the baby.
04:29May pangalan ah?
04:31Yeah.
04:31His name is going to be Sergio.
04:33Sergio.
04:34So, it's going to be like my dad's name.
04:36Oh.
04:38How beautiful.
04:39But anyway, katulad kanina yung sinabi ko sa introductions.
04:43You know, this hasn't been an easy ride.
04:46You know?
04:47You fought.
04:48Sabi nga, lumaban ka para sa corona.
04:51As a mini queen.
04:51Ah, hinarap mo ang ilang mga kontrobersiya sa iyong buhay.
04:56And now, you're starting a new chapter in your life.
04:59Ah, katulad na lamang ng kontrobersiya sometime June.
05:02Ah, June.
05:04You know?
05:05May mga ugong-ugong na nag-iwalay ko ni Jonathan.
05:08Mm-hmm.
05:08What is the story?
05:10Um, well, I think like every relationship, um, we go through our ups and downs.
05:16Okay.
05:16It's just unfortunate that I'm still a public figure, so somehow something comes out and,
05:24you know, it's also not easy when you're pregnant and, you know, you're already going through
05:28a lot privately and then, um, and then it becomes also public.
05:33But, definitely, it's just like a normal relationship like everyone else and we do have our ups and
05:40down and, again, it's just very unfortunate that it got out in a bad way, I guess.
05:47Right.
05:47But, um, I know, of course, we do have a show where we talk a lot about our private life,
05:55but as much as possible, we also try to have boundaries in, you know, what is our relationship
06:00and, you know, keeping those boundaries always in place because it's also, you know, it's just sensitive.
06:08Yeah.
06:08And especially when it involves pregnancy and having a child together, I think it's important
06:13that people always maintain respect around the relationship.
06:18So, um, we, you know, we solve things between the two of us.
06:25Oh.
06:25So, um, I, uh, understanding this correctly that you had problems, but the normal problems
06:31of a couple.
06:32Yeah, of course.
06:32Okay.
06:33Like, we always had, like, even before I got pregnant, like, it's just no relationship is
06:39perfect and, you know, we had a lot of good moments, not so good moments.
06:46Right.
06:46It's, it's okay.
06:48Like, but the important thing is that we know the truth and we know what happened and
06:53we just keep it between ourselves and whatever interpretation that, of course, the media had
06:59about that, um, it's also not actually what happened.
07:05So.
07:06Okay.
07:06Claro lang.
07:07I, I, I don't mean to needle, but, um, naghiwalay kayo.
07:12Did you separate during this time?
07:14Um, I mean, we had moments where, you know, like, we had to kind of take space or separate,
07:24but, you know, there is more in the show that I also cannot say everything now.
07:27All right.
07:28Okay.
07:29Um, again, it's just about recognizing that there is always ups and downs.
07:34And as long as we're always able to, you know, be honest with each other and just talk
07:38about it between family, I think that's the most important thing.
07:43Does he understand your being public?
07:48Oh yeah, for sure.
07:49Actually, um, Johnny at the beginning didn't want to be out there at all.
07:54Um, in the first six months of our relationship, I wasn't posting him.
07:59I wasn't really being out there in the relationship.
08:02Uh, I mean, publicly, of course.
08:05And, um, after the six months is when, uh, you know, we started to be more out there.
08:10And then of course there is also a show coming out now, which is very personal.
08:14We'll talk about that.
08:15But has he been based in the Philippines for quite a while?
08:18He's been here for years.
08:20Yeah.
08:20Yeah.
08:20He's been here for years.
08:22And then we met more than a year ago now.
08:25That's what connects the both of you.
08:27Yeah.
08:27You're both Filipino in a sense.
08:29Oh yeah, yeah.
08:29We love the Philippines.
08:32To be honest.
08:32Okay.
08:33Let's do fast talk, Celeste.
08:35Okay.
08:35Okay.
08:38Celeste, Miss Universe or misunderstood?
08:43Misunderstood.
08:45Unscripted or scripted?
08:48Unscripted.
08:48Ganda or Corona?
08:49Corona.
08:50Corona.
08:51Corona or yaman?
08:52Yaman.
08:53Rich mom or beautiful mom?
08:55Both.
08:56Magandang buntis, madramang buntis.
08:59Drama.
09:00Mas happy noon, mas happy ngayon?
09:03Ngayon.
09:04Misconception about beauty queens?
09:06That they're just pretty.
09:08Misconception about beautiful girls?
09:11That they're just pretty?
09:13Your biggest red flag in a man?
09:16Oh my God.
09:17We're talking about that before.
09:19Yeah.
09:20Maybe dishonesty?
09:22Your biggest green flag in a man?
09:27A man that takes care of me.
09:30Your favorite Filipino beauty queen?
09:33Pia Warspa.
09:35Kung hindi ka beauty queen, ano ka ngayon?
09:37I wanted to be a psychologist before.
09:40Miss Universe 2022, painful or priceless?
09:44Painful.
09:46Social media?
09:47Safe zone?
09:48Danger zone?
09:50Danger zone.
09:51Danger zone.
09:51Yes or no?
09:52May naging ex na aktor?
09:54Yeah.
09:55I like that.
09:57Yeah.
09:57Yes or no?
09:58Ginugol ang sarili?
10:00Google yourself.
10:02Oh yeah.
10:03Yes or no?
10:04May in-unfriend na celebrity?
10:06A lot.
10:07Yes or no?
10:08Pangarap maging leading lady?
10:10Yeah.
10:12Lights on or lights off?
10:14Off.
10:15Happiness or chocolates?
10:17Chocolate is happiness for me now.
10:20Best time for happiness and chocolates?
10:22Any time of the day.
10:24The unscripted Chileste is?
10:28Chaotic.
10:34That's why we have to watch that.
10:38Naalala ko, there was a time when Johnny, your husband came out to explain.
10:45Yeah.
10:46And he said, you know, I'm not a millionaire.
10:47I am a billionaire.
10:50That's one.
10:51And the second one is, you know, there was a time in the past when people had this debate about
10:57halfies.
11:00Celeste, what is your take on the halfies in the context of beauty pageants and beauty contests?
11:07Ang kasagutan po sa pagbabalik ng Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.
11:16Kami nagbabalik po dito sa Fast Talk with Boy Abunda kasama po natin si Celeste.
11:21Okay.
11:22Naalala ko, Johnny came out to explain about the breakup.
11:27And then, in that particular statement, parang sinabi niyang, I'm not a millionaire.
11:31I am a billionaire.
11:33Anong context nun?
11:35I think that was after the article that came out that kept saying that this millionaire,
11:43sorry, millionaire boyfriend of Celeste Cortese and whatever.
11:47I think it was a joke.
11:48Okay.
11:49All right.
11:49Well, it was a joke.
11:50We figured about that one.
11:51It was meant to be a joke.
11:53Some people really took it seriously, like, oh, why does he have to say that or whatever.
11:58But we knew that it was a joke.
11:59Some people understood that it was a joke.
12:02Okay.
12:02And, yeah, I think it was funny.
12:05But how rich is he?
12:08Is he a wealthy man?
12:09How wealthy is Johnny?
12:11Well, he is wealthy.
12:15He's a very successful person.
12:18So, you know, he's done very good for himself.
12:20He worked very, very hard.
12:22Yeah.
12:22And I think one of the things I really appreciate is that he's so young, but yet very, very smart.
12:29And, you know, he did a lot already.
12:34And it's very admirable, to be honest, because it's not easy to reach that kind of success.
12:40Celeste, you're married to somebody who is wealthy and who worked hard for that wealth,
12:45and to somebody who's very good looking.
12:47Is that a problem?
12:49No, I love it.
12:50You do.
12:52Isn't it difficult, you know, like, both of you go to public places, for example,
12:56and he can be, he's very attractive, you're very attractive.
12:58And some people can, can just go around and start to flirt with.
13:04Let's not talk first about you, but with him.
13:06Yeah.
13:07How do you handle situations like that?
13:09I think, um,
13:09When there's a bad guy with your husband.
13:11I think it's normal.
13:13I mean, I'm, I'm very much aware of the fact that there, there will always be girls that
13:18don't even just go after looks, but they go after wealthy men.
13:23And, you know, that's just how it is.
13:25But I think as long as, um,
13:28both of us are reassured in the relationship.
13:31I think it's very, very important.
13:33And, you know, the rest is just noise.
13:36Malaking usapin noong nakaraang mga buwan.
13:39Yung Hafiz.
13:40Ah, yeah.
13:41You're aware of this, no?
13:42Yeah.
13:43Anong take mo?
13:43You know, like also, as history has shown that Filipino women and also like men, they've
13:52won the crown by being full blood Filipinas and Filipinos.
13:57So, um, I don't think that necessarily just the Hafiz have that kind of advantage of winning the crown.
14:04I think, you know, they've proven also full blood Filipinas that they brought a lot of pride to the country
14:11without being a half.
14:13And me as a Hafiz also, I'm half Italian and Filipina.
14:18Honestly, I do take pride from both cultures, you know.
14:22Um, I love my Italian heritage because that's my dad's side and I love exploring my Filipino heritage, which is
14:31my mom's side.
14:32And also my baby, you know, somehow is also Filipino and happy.
14:37But, um, yeah, I think it's also important.
14:41Like I decided and I wanted to represent the Philippines in Miss Universe.
14:44And that's because Philippines has always been in my heart.
14:48Filipino-Italian.
14:50When is it a blessing and when is it a curse?
14:54Um, you know, growing up, honestly, I felt like I never belonged anywhere.
15:00Because when I was in Italy and living there, I was bullied because of my Asian side.
15:06And then when I came here to the Philippines, I've always been told that I'm not Filipino enough to represent
15:12the country.
15:13So, you know, you kind of get to a point where you don't know where you belong.
15:19And it took a lot for me to understand that and to really process that.
15:26And get to a point where I don't have to choose one culture, but I can be proud.
15:31I also came to the Philippines by myself.
15:34You know, I didn't know how to speak English or Tagalog.
15:37And it was just really, really hard.
15:39And I had to really go through the process and maybe get hurt and get bashed or like feel helpless
15:46or feel like I don't belong here.
15:48But eventually, you really grow up.
15:54So, I think I really grew from it and I really understood that I can belong anywhere, both Italy and
16:02the Philippines.
16:03And that's also what I want to teach my son, that he doesn't have to choose.
16:07Right.
16:08He can be both.
16:09Yes.
16:10Now, let's talk about Unscripted.
16:11Yeah.
16:12Tell us everything about it.
16:13Your eight-part docu.
16:15Yes.
16:16So, it's interesting because I've always been wanting to be private with my relationships.
16:24And especially, I never talk much about Miss Universe.
16:27But in this documentary, I talk about it for probably the first time more deeply.
16:36Anudun, about Miss Universe, the controversies.
16:40More about like, you know, what I've been through, my feelings and what I felt when I lost or I
16:46broke this streak of, you know, 12 years.
16:50So, it was a journey to really like go through memories and try to process everything all over again and
16:57talk about it in a documentary.
16:59That was very difficult.
17:00It was very, very difficult.
17:02But luckily, I've been also working with an amazing team, GOAT, especially Mike Carandan.
17:07Hi, Mike.
17:09Yeah, he's been my friend.
17:10I haven't seen him in ages.
17:11Yeah.
17:11I thought he was going to be here.
17:14He's been my friend for a very long time.
17:16And definitely, I felt super, super comfortable with him behind the camera.
17:21It's like talking to a friend.
17:22So, this is an eight-part documentary series called Celeste Unscripted,
17:29that we can watch on GTV.
17:31Yeah.
17:33What's basically what we can watch here?
17:37So, Miss Universe, for the first time, you spoke about it.
17:42There is a lot about my friendships, how I lead also my business as well.
17:49So, my company and of course, the relationship with Johnny as well.
17:53So, it's different aspects of my life.
17:56You're very private and the irony is that you're doing this.
17:59I know, right?
18:01What made you do it?
18:03Sometimes.
18:04Sometimes, I think about it.
18:06I'm like, who made me do this?
18:08Because it's so exposing and it's not easy to put your life out there and being subject of scrutiny.
18:15Scrutiny.
18:16I had my doubts along the way because there is a lot of personal things that maybe normally I wouldn't
18:23want to talk about.
18:24Again, I am a public figure but I keep private things private as much as possible.
18:30You set boundaries.
18:31I set boundaries.
18:32But in this docu-series, more like I really let go of that and trust the process.
18:39And I think people will also see a side of me that they haven't seen before because I always look
18:44very much composed, you know, from Miss Universe.
18:47Always know what to say.
18:48But there, I think it's more raw and very unscripted.
18:53That's why it's nice.
18:54That's wonderful.
18:55One day your baby is going to see this conversation.
18:58What would you want to say to the baby?
19:03Well, for sure, I think he will also see it from the documentary that I've been wanting him a lot.
19:13I'm more hormonal. I'm so sorry. I cry for everything but I hope he will be proud.
19:21He will. He will be proud.
19:24And invite everybody to be part of the docu. Go ahead.
19:28Of course, you can see Celeste Unscripted at 10.30pm every Saturday on GTV.
19:35So, there you go. Supportan po natin, panoorin po natin ang documentary, ang docu-series ng Celeste.
19:43God bless you. Maraming maraming salamat.
19:45I'm so happy to see you again.
19:46Thank you so much.
19:48After many, many years.
19:50I know.
19:52Naitai Kapuso, maraming salamat po sa inyong pagpapatuloy sa amin.
19:56Sa inyong mga tahanan araw-araw, be kind, make your nanay proud and say thank you.
20:00At because of the chaos in this world, piliin natin gumawa ng tama.
20:05Biwan tama.
20:06And goodbye for now.
20:08And God bless.
20:09Woo!
20:10Woo!
20:10Woo!
20:11Woo!
20:12Woo!
20:12Woo!
20:13Woo!
20:13Woo!
20:13Woo!
