00:00We are in Hamburg today for the 29th edition of the ADAC Cyclassic starting in Boxtehude finishing
00:07in Hamburg 205.3 kilometers. The riders rolling away but it is all about this course from Boxtehude
00:22heading in towards Hamburg. The first passage of the finish line with 105.37 kilometers to go. Then
00:32around this really interesting circuit that takes in the Wasserberg on each loop. Two loops on two
00:39circuits. The final ones come with 26.7 and 15.5 kilometers to go respectively. 700 meters in
00:47length. Average gradient of 10%. So how are the sprinters going to recover at the end of
00:55that? 122.6 kilometers and 4 minutes and 36 seconds is the time gap from our breakaway group.
01:16We get to the Wasserberg. 700 meters in length. Average gradient of 10%. And just the atmosphere
01:26around Hamburg today has just been spectacular. As you can see here with so many people out
01:33on the climb. Benjamin Tomah here taking three. Mr. Potip taking two. Lo Van Bell taking that
01:42one point. 81.8 kilometers to go here. And our breakaway group still holding two minutes and
01:54156 seconds. You can sense the pressure within the peloton here. Tomah smoothly pedaling through
02:03towards the front here. Making sure he keeps the pressure on. Benoit Cousneufois of UAE Team Emirates
02:14XRG. So the Frenchman really ripping it up here. Let's see how much damage that might have done
02:22there. There's the peloton there in the background. They're still not that far away. We'll see if
02:33they sense that they could springboard something across here. Looks around. It does mean that gap
02:47to our breakaway now. Minute and 30 seconds. One lap to go this time.
02:58One minute and 40. I mean this is going to be a tough, tough task for this breakaway group
03:05to stay away. The gap down to a minute. So that last acceleration by the peloton has taken
03:17a chunk now out of the gap. Benjamin Tomah now makes a last ditch effort to try and go solo
03:30in this one.
03:32Also wants some more points in the King of the Mountains.
03:4348 seconds. The peloton works super hard to bring them back.
04:02Torma wants to be the last rider standing. Izak del Toro is going to go after him. This is where
04:09you can make the difference as well through this really technical section if they just keep the pressure on here.
04:22We run back in towards Hamburg. 10 kilometers to go and Izak del Toro is going to keep the pressure
04:30on on the front.
04:3120 seconds to go.
04:35Manyay poised and ready Kubic is there. We've got the colours
04:40of the unibet rose rockets. The pink of IF Education. EZ post are right there.
04:47The yellow and red colours here of UNOX Mobility.
05:02Huge, big turn round the outside there from Oweindel.
05:08Manje's team mate, Jasper Steuven.
05:10How many times have we seen Jasper Steuven do this now for Paul Manje?
05:14Manje is in second wheel, right on the wheel now.
05:19It's at Glebsarista also coming up for Astar XTS Astana.
05:23You can see riders all the time here getting shuffled back.
05:27But Jasper Steuven on the front for Paul Manje.
05:30What a partnership these two have formed.
05:34Manje this year, three stages and the points in the Giro.
05:3930 victories for the young French rider.
05:41Here comes the lead out and it's a huge turn from Red Bull.
05:47Bora Hansgrohe, they're lining up for the finish.
05:50Laurence Pithy trying to get into position.
05:52It's mayhem, it's chaotic on the run-in as they open it up.
05:56Laurence Pithy opens it up.
05:57Manje straight down the centre.
05:59Manje opens up the sprint, comes through.
06:03What an incredible sprint.
06:05Paul Manje is going to take the Hamburg side classic for Sudau.
06:10Quick step delivered with absolute perfection by the teammates.
06:17Jasper Steuven leads him out.
06:19That final link in the chain for him.
06:22But what can you say about that for today?
06:24Dries Van Gressen, Fabio Van den Bosch, Japsen,
06:28Sojvan, Andrea Rekane, Yves Lampard and Eiko Bastian's deliver.
06:33Paul Manje perfectly yet again.
06:37Yeah, I'm super proud to take my first World 2 Run Day race victory.
06:41I think I can really thank my team.
06:44Every single rider worked really hard and in the final,
06:47the team really put me in the perfect position and I could make a really good sprint.
06:53Then I think I can really thank the whole Sudau Quick Step team
06:56and I'm really proud to win here.
07:02Paul Manje takes his first World Tour one-day victory in the Hamburg side classic.
07:14What a season, three stages, the points in the Giro d'Italia.
07:20We will take that alongside here as well.
07:23That one-day win in Belgium and big classic, sprinter classic here in Germany.
07:29Top ten Paul Manje from Mike Tennyson, Lawrence Piffy gets up there.
07:34Top ten Paul Manje, Pennewe, Ulrich Fretin, Hobbs, Warnschwoldt,
07:39Utz and Deli, your top ten.
07:42Sudau Quick Step definitely have a new sprinting superstar, don't they,
07:47with this young rider.
