00:05It's day three, but stage two, riding away from Swerbischheil in Baden-Württemberg
00:11in the direction of Offenbach and der Kreis.
00:14Yesterday's finish, absolutely spectacular.
00:17Louis Barre taking a solo win, but Paul Manier hanging on to the very, very end.
00:24There were the jerseys going into stage two, day three,
00:28riding away from the Swerbian-Franconian forests, thick green lush
00:35and heading down to the pan-flat plains of the River Rhine.
00:40The last 70 kilometres almost entirely flat, a bad day for Alexei Brunel
00:45riding off the back of the peloton and out of the race, as we would learn.
00:49The rain came too, it was miserable, hard, dark, wet,
00:54fully wet for the three riders in the breakaway.
00:57Ole Taylor back in there again for Remby Radnet,
01:00and this time joined by two other riders from those third division
01:03German continental teams.
01:04Ben Felix Joachim of Lotto-Kirnhaus
01:07and Alvaro Sagrado of Stork, MRW Val.
01:11The three of them working well together.
01:13This is Melissa by combining with Paul Manier's Sudau Quick-Step team
01:18to do the chasing.
01:18They never had more than about two and a half minutes of lead,
01:22not even enough for Ben Felix Joachim to get into the virtual lead on the road.
01:27The big world teams, particularly Sudau Quick-Step,
01:30were really measly with the gap they'd allow them to have.
01:32In Oberhausen, it was Alvaro Sagrado repeating what he'd done at Landhausen.
01:39He'd also taken the Juxkov King of the Mountains point as well.
01:42And with that, Alvaro Sagrado had won every single intermediate point on the day.
01:47The Spaniard having a fantastic day out.
01:50They continued, but their lead was tumbling, and the catch was looking ominous as well.
01:57There was the catch as it happened,
01:59and they were headed then towards a bonification sprint point,
02:03three, two and one seconds.
02:05And this one would be interesting,
02:07because it did tease out UAT Emirates,
02:10Isak del Toro feeling like he might be the fastest.
02:13But he wasn't the only one wanting to have a go.
02:16So watch for the blue jersey of Louis Barre,
02:18moving up the outside, right up alongside Isak del Toro.
02:22The clash of the one and two yesterday,
02:25back at it again for three, two and one bonus seconds.
02:30Del Toro, of course, in the green Skoda jersey being let out.
02:33Barre down there in the blue shorts of the little leaders jersey.
02:37And there was Mateusz Wacek in the Czech Champions jersey in the middle,
02:40but the line just came too soon.
02:42It was absolutely perfect for Isak del Toro.
02:44But you could see behind them,
02:47Vacek and even Barre feeling like they hadn't seen the line coming up on them.
02:52Isak del Toro once again with perfect timing.
02:55Well, I can tell you after that point, the race was then just fully alight.
02:58It kept going.
02:59It was looking at various points,
03:01but we wouldn't get the expected sprint finish that we'd been looking forward to in off and back.
03:05And there were enough teams, including Tudor Pro Cycling, who wanted to push forward those cracks and see if they
03:12could create something of a breakaway.
03:14However, the heavy weight of the likes of Red Bull Bora Hansgrohe and then, of course, Sudau Quickstep with Paul
03:22Manier meant it coming back together.
03:24They came to the finish line at the start of a final 13km lap.
03:28The bell was being rung and the riders knew, as we did, it was coming to a sprint.
03:33You can just see at the back that, yeah, Vacek, another one of those to pull out of the way.
03:38Paul Manier is right there, but he's having to work his way through.
03:41His lead out man normally would be Dres van Gestel.
03:44It is van Gestel, I think, now who's going.
03:46What is that? Rex.
03:47Can't quite see the number.
03:48Van Gestel is ready.
03:49Manier, in fact, it's my pick for the day.
03:52Danny van Poppel, who's now on the front.
03:54Van Poppel has got Tim Teuttenberg just behind him.

03:59Oh, but Manier is getting squeezed in. He's up alongside the side of Max Valscheid.

04:06Paul Manier, the best rider sprinter in this race.
04:08He has to lean on Phil Bauhaus to try and get out.
04:11He sits third wheel.

04:13It is Laurence Rex who's leading.
04:15There's a flyer coming.

04:17Yuri Lietal coming up the outside for Cajararell.
04:20He goes head-to-head with Paul Manier.
04:22Lietal coming from miles back, the Portuguese rider.
04:24It is now between Manier and I think the rider, by the look of that,
04:29from Red Bull Bora-Hansgrohe.
04:31I don't think that was Van Poppel at all.
04:34And it wasn't.
04:35It was Alessio Magianotti, their 19-year-old.
05:00Magianotti, still a member of the Red Bull Bora-Hansgrohe rookies, their development team and yet stepping up to the
05:06highest level right here today.
05:08Remember the name of the Italian because he's just beaten Paul Manier.
05:12Yuri Lietal with a fantastic sprint in third.
05:16And Louis Barret maintaining his lead going into tomorrow's absolutely vital Queen stage.
05:22He's got a fight on his hands.
05:23Isak del Toro will not give up on this one and neither will Giulio Ciccone.
