00:07That's why I want to ask you to join or support the Rat Rock walking team
00:12in the Jersey Shore's Walk to Prevent Suicide
00:16with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
00:19The walk is coming up on September 19th out of Bar A in Belmar, Bar Anticipation.
00:26You know, I lost a friend to suicide not far from these boards.
00:30So this is personal for me.
00:32As recently as 2023, suicide was the 11th leaving cause of death in our country.
00:38But we're getting smarter about mental health.
00:43And this is one of the ways how.
00:45The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention Out of the Darkness Community Walk
00:50raises awareness and funds and reminds us that we're not alone.
00:56Funds raised support research, education, advocacy, and support
01:01for those affected by suicide.
