Check out this dramatic footage of a massive wildfire plume transforming the sky above British Columbia into a striking pink and orange glow.
Cortnee Chulo, from Lake Country, British Columbia, Canada captured the scene while driving along the Coquihalla Highway.
The video shows a towering pyroconvective cloud rising above the mountains and blocking out the daylight. As the vehicle rounds a bend, the sky suddenly appears to glow bright pink and orange, creating an appearance almost resembling a dramatic sunset.
Cortnee described the scene as a harrowing sight during the drive home, with the wildfire burning intensely beyond the mountains and casting an ominous glow across the landscape.
Cortnee said: “The massive pyro cloud towered over the road, blocking all light, until we rounded a corner to a blazing pink.”
One viewer commented: “Both BC and WA State. Rain, please. No lightning or wind. Send rain, please. Stay safe, it’s heartbreaking!”
