00:00What if I told you everything you're seeing right now started from nothing?
00:06You might think it's impossible to survive in a world without resources,
00:10but my nation proved otherwise as we competed against a hundred other players over the course of one week
00:14all to find out who could survive Minecraft's deadliest experiment.
00:18So welcome everyone to Nations.
00:26Now if you know me, you've probably seen a Nations video or two before,
00:29but this season was different because every team was put onto a super flat square
00:33and we were separated by a giant wall.
00:35See, each team has a core they have to protect,
00:37and if their core gets broken, everyone on the team instantly dies.
00:41Seems simple enough, right?
00:42Well in five days from now, the walls will be dropped
00:44and the civilizations will fight to destroy each other's core first until one team remains.
00:49Day one was the hardest session because we had no resources yet.
00:52However, the owner soon gave every team a couple of things to progress.
00:55One sapling, a water bucket, and some iron.
00:58And so not knowing what else to do, we waited for the sapling to grow.
01:01And after a couple of minutes,
01:02I was trying to handle the-
01:04Tree, tree, skywalk.
01:05Now one tree may not seem like that big of a deal,
01:07but this tree would allow us to mine our iron,
01:09and with that iron we can make shears to get leaves to use on a composter, creating bone meal.
01:13And if you didn't know, using bone meal underwater creates water source blocks.
01:17So basically, we had an infinite water pool now.
01:19Yeah, there we go.
01:20Infinite water.

01:22My small group was slowly progressing our nation, but the rest of the players on our team weren't exactly as
01:27focused.

01:28This is literally breaking and entering.

01:35Guys, I think I might be able to break the core.

01:41With a team full of prominent PvPers, trust wasn't exactly the easiest thing to accomplish,
01:46and the owner even told us how behind we were.
01:49I'll give you this, you guys are doing the worst.
01:50If we wanted to survive this experiment, we would have to work together.
01:54And by day two, that already started to happen.
01:57Oh.

01:59We got our daily resource drop and tried to contain everything in shared chests,
02:02but there were still a few players who decided to take more for themselves than they needed,
02:06including a player named Devoma.
02:07And when we called him out for it, he started hacking, so we collectively decided to hunt him down.

02:41First time I played Minecraft when I was like 12, I genuinely had no idea how to swim.
02:45I kept like spamming space.
02:47While my team was happy with our progress today, there was one more important thing to do.
02:52Leader elections.
02:53See, every season each team elects someone to guide their nation to victory, and this time
02:57there were three main candidates running.
02:59So, we all sat down and listened to their speeches.
03:02Ladies, gentlemen, so my proposal is we listen to a former king who said all...
03:10Excuse me.
03:11Who said all warfare is based on...
03:16I'm just gonna have to actively like dodge.
03:18Whether I get your votes or not, I wanna say that if we are gonna have any chance to win,
03:21we have to work together.
03:23Personally, I will organize building the base, and I will implement about three good players
03:26who will help lead the charge when the walls drop.
03:28We are a team of content creators.
03:32No matter what, we will be the targets.
03:35That's our disadvantage.
03:36But we also have an advantage.
03:38We have the most talented strike team on the server right here.
03:42So, we could sit back and let the swarms of people overrun us, or we could go on the offensive
03:50and take them out before they even reach us.
03:52I'm fine with working with both of these talented people to run a government here, but what they
03:57said is true.
03:58We need to unite if we want to actually make a difference here, because we're already against
04:03the world.

04:07Each candidate made a good effort, but after casting our votes, it was none other than
04:11Clown Pierce who won.
04:13And I don't think anyone was really surprised by this.
04:15Clown, you've been in Five Nations event, and every single one of them somehow you managed
04:20to be a leader.
04:21You are the only player in the history of nations who've been a leader five times.
04:25Really?
04:26Oh, well, don't mind if I do.
04:28Oh yeah, that suits me, yeah.
04:31And with that, day two had ended.
04:34And when the next day started, we expected things to go like normal, but then the owner
04:38called everyone for an announcement.
04:39This game is a PvP battle to the death between four players.
04:44Each team, I want you to choose one player.
04:46You guys are allowed to equip this player with whatever you want.
04:50And if they die, they're not getting revived.
04:52Make your choices.
04:53Decide who you're gonna send.
04:56The winner will be getting resources for his team.
04:58Immediately, we thought our best PvPer, FairMC, was the obvious choice, since he's literally
05:02one of the best players in the world.
05:04However, after thinking about it some more, we realized Fair was also too great of a player
05:09to risk losing, since we need his help later when the borders drop.
05:12So instead, we chose a player named Eroku, since he's also very skilled at PvP, but also
05:17less recognized than Fair, so he was less likely to be targeted in the event.
05:20So we told the owner our choice, and he was teleported into the arena, and this is what happened.
05:25And he's aligned with red too.

05:47Eroku and winning this event created a huge advantage for our team, granting us tons of iron, diamonds,
05:53and an enchanting table.

05:56So we started to enchant our gear, and grew closer as a team with every little action.
06:00But after this, my team began focusing on defenses, since the board was going to drop
06:04in just two days, and our core was still out in the open.
06:07So Clown assigned people to a few jobs, including lava casting, trench digging, and core covering.
06:11And I started by digging our trench with a player named Pierce.
06:14But when I watched him mine, he was doing this weird moss strategy, because apparently
06:18if you bone me a moss block, it'll infect nearby stone, which you can break with a hoe,
06:22increasing the speed of our trench digging.
06:24So for the rest of the day, that's exactly what I did.
06:31After making good progress, I was about to come back to the surface, but was surprised
06:35with something else.
06:36Rasslin?
06:37What?
06:38Rasslin, look out.
06:39They're building a cannon.

06:58Luckily, the admins were able to help him out and revive him.
07:01But speaking of help, I'm trying to reach 300,000 subscribers before VidCon, which is
07:06in like a few weeks.
07:07Otherwise, my friends can tweet anything they want on my Twitter.
07:09And honestly, we're still a bit of a ways away, so if you wanna save me from whatever
07:13they're gonna tweet, uh, subscribe.
07:15It's day four, and the walls drop tomorrow.
07:17Our nation is very different now than when we started, and we've definitely come a great
07:21way together as a team.
07:22However, some of our members started to worry since we had less people getting onto play
07:26than any other team.
07:28So far, only 16 people have showed up today.
07:31Other teams have like up to 50 minutes.
07:33But instead of worrying too much about it, we still had a couple important tasks to do.
07:37Uh, I need a build squad to help us, uh, build the defenses.
07:41Me and Raspland need two more people to work on the other trench, because right now we only
07:45have one.
07:45So while the rest of my team finished up our walls and trenches, I decided to cover our
07:49core, and I surrounded it with a bunch of obsidian as well as made a fall trap underneath.
07:53Oh wow, that's thick, okay.
07:55Besides working on defenses, today we also got our final resource drop, which was by far
07:59the biggest, containing full diamond armor sets for every player on our team.
08:03So we finished up enchanting and finished our defenses, and now all we had to do was wait till
08:08tomorrow.
08:08So, with nothing else to complete, I logged out.
08:13Until...
08:16From starting off as a nation divided by mistrust, to one that can split up and accomplish different
08:20tasks, my team has come a long way leading up to today.
08:23But despite this, we still had the least amount of players out of any team, which was a huge
08:27disadvantage.
08:27We literally have no one, no one right?
08:30We'd need to play smart and pick off enemies bit by bit since winning by brute force wouldn't
08:34be possible.
08:34But now, it's time to find out if everything we've done was enough.
08:38And so, we all waited in anticipation for the walls to drop.

08:50Blue's team maxed out their defense, digging a trench all the way around their nation that
08:54made ours look tiny, and they had a giant water cube which stops anyone from breaking
08:58their core with ease.
08:59As for the other teams, red had a giant lava wall surrounding their base and we couldn't
09:03see green since our wall was blocking it.
09:05So our first plan was to pick off blue players at the border walls while a couple of us stayed
09:08around our core to protect it
09:35We need to water it, we need to water it, so if we get shut off, we don't die because

10:18While we were able to get a few kills from this strategy, we unfortunately lost a couple teammates as well
10:23So we decided to take a different approach and took to the skies
10:26However, we weren't the only ones with this idea, and every other team also had their own skybridges too

11:08The sky strategy got us another few kills on the other teams, but it also presented a big problem
11:15our ground defense was left more vulnerable. So before we got too far into enemy territory,
11:20we made it back down to think of a new plan. See, the problem with all of our strategies so
11:23far is
11:24that we're out in the open where every team can easily target us. But Pierce and I realized
11:28something. By crawling through our trench, we could tunnel into enemy territory without even
11:32being seen. And if done correctly, we could theoretically sneak into a team's core room.
11:36So while the rest of our team was busy distracting Blue, Pierce and I went on a mission to eliminate
11:41green's core. Look out, look out. Oh my God. We're going into green base. The rest of our
11:46team is all in the sky. Oh my God. Oh my God. Where are you? I'm done. I'm done. What's
11:53up?
11:53Rastlin and I need TNT so we can just kill a lot of people. We're inside the core right now.

12:37Unfortunately, we weren't able to mine green's core. We decided not to risk dying and retreated
12:42from green's territory to help the rest of our team. At this point, green was now with the team
12:45with the least players, so we decided to change our focus to the bigger threat, blue. However,
12:50there was one glaring problem. Their water cube made it extremely hard to break their core. And even
12:54if someone did get to the center, their players could just hit us away. So we figured the best strategy
12:58would be to continue picking off players until we could siege on their core. And so our strike team
13:03crossover to blues nation. So they can do anything. Oh, no. Oh, nice. Oh my God. How did that work?
