00:11Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agreed that an American general would oversee verification
00:16of Hamas disarmament. The agreement marks a renewed U.S. effort to address Israeli concerns
00:23after Netanyahu rejected part of Washington's latest proposal to end the Gaza war.
00:28The U.S. President's son-in-law met Netanyahu in Jerusalem after talks with Hamas in Egypt,
00:35where the group reiterated its commitment to implementing the peace plan.
00:38During those talks, Kushner demanded evidence that Hamas was surrendering its weapons
00:43and giving up any future role in governing Gaza. Netanyahu has previously insisted that Israel
00:49will not withdraw from Gaza until Hamas is disarmed and that reconstruction will remain suspended until then.
