00:06Lithuanian capital Vilnius is turning into a capital of corgis. The city is
00:10hosting its annual corgi race, an event that brings together 150 corgis from nine
00:16countries to figure out whose short legs are the fastest.
00:23This year dogs came from Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Estonia, Germany, Ukraine, the
00:29Czech Republic, the United Kingdom and even the United States. What started as a race between
00:36friends dogs now turned into an international event.
01:02This year's winner, a dog who came all the way from California in the United States of America.
01:10We came just for this event. It's not often you get to go to Europe for a corgi festival.
01:18But it's not only about speed. Corgis can show off their talents not only on the racetrack,
01:23but also in the catwalk, where they can sport the best costumes their owners have created.
01:31Others can put their noses to the test in the best nose contest.
01:35Or show off their vocal skills at a mighty-ass voice barking show.
01:40The barking showdown was exactly what Duke, a dog from the United Kingdom,
01:44the home of corgis, had come for, unsurprisingly.
01:51However, when the showtime came, he got a bit shy.
01:55We tried to get him into the barking competition.
01:59But even though you just saw it, like he barked so much, he...
02:02As soon as he's in the spot.
02:03Yeah, stopped, did not bark a single thing. He's known as the quiet corgi now.
02:09The second place winner in the costume competition was Vetra, or, in English, a storm.
02:15A dog from Latvia, who transformed into a mushroom.
02:18We Latvians are mushroom pickers, and this is what we are famous for.
02:23And then, actually, the creative idea came from, well, what Latvians are very, like,
02:29super proud of. Oh, they are proud of their chanterelle picking.
02:32And we actually went to chanterelle picking last year, and Vetra enjoyed it a lot.
02:37So, that's actually, the idea came from that. So, Vetra became a chanterelle.
02:43One of the oldest participants, 12 years old Ozis, will return next year.
03:02The one who is coming back for sure is Clefis.
03:07We enjoy very much. Actually, we wanted to attend last year as well, but it was very small.
03:11It was like eight months or something. So, we didn't do it.
03:14So, it's his first corgi race this year.
03:16But, hereafter, we'll be every year, most proudly.
03:19Other undenいる one.
03:22Each second of the
03:32Panathenae ik stadium has welcome Marathonrunners, Rockstars and the athletes of the first modern Olympic games.
03:38Built entirely of white marble, it is undergoing its first systematic cleaning in more than a century.
03:44It was reconstructed for the first modern Olympic Games in 1896
03:48and also serves as the site of the Olympic Flame handover ceremony,
03:51including preparation for the 2028 Los Angeles Games.
04:08The modern Olympic Games in 1896 had to be cut out of all the things that have been added all
04:16these years.
04:17Thus, the global stage will show all the lightness.
04:21The process requires special care as the stadium is made of the same gleaming marble used on the Acropolis,
04:27a fact that makes cleaning a particularly delicate and demanding task.
04:30The cleaning work reveals the marks left on the historic monument by the passage of time, weather conditions and millions
04:35of visitors.
04:36The goal of cleaning is not to make everything white, it is to remove the dirt
04:40and the first layers of organic material that is deposited on the surface.
04:45The weed and growth is something that is fully problematic for monuments,
04:49because they expand, they have the attention to be bigger,
04:53in some cases they leave material that leaves stains on top of the marble.
04:58As the work progresses, the stadium's original glow is gradually being restored.
05:03After all, it is the stadium's pure white gleaming marble that gave it its widely known Greek name,
05:09Kalimarmaro, meaning beautiful marble.
05:23We saw that most were limb, head and facial injuries.
05:28Head injuries were the most severe, with one in ten meeting criteria for more severe trauma.
05:34Despite this risk, our data reveals a safety gap.
05:36Only 1.8% of these children were documented to be wearing a helmet.
05:49This research clearly demonstrates that e-scooter related injuries are rising,
05:53and there needs to be clearer, consistent regulation and greater public awareness.
05:56Given the number of privately owned e-scooters in this study,
06:00we need retailers to pass on the legal guidance at the point of sale.
06:04See you next time.
06:05Bye now.
06:05Bye now.
06:54It's the end of a series that has begun
06:57now it's 4 years ago with Villars where I created a story over several years and
07:02generally it's children who, year after year, evolve or create a story just.
07:22Here, the challenge is generally double, it will be physical because there is still
07:27the wind, you have to work from the morning to the evening, and the weather because we are in altitude,
07:33we are not at 2,000 but we are relatively high and so, as usual, I would like to play
07:41with the
07:42storms, the wind, the rain, etc., so it's always that which is complicated for me.
08:03If there is a lot of rain, of course it will disappear more, we already see that the
08:07wind will repose. I love this moment because, finally, it's a moment where nature
08:11repose its rights on what I have done.
