00:00In 1967, Gaynor left school.
00:04Hooray, we can hear her say, time to earn some money.
00:09She left on the Friday and started work on the Monday
00:12at Phil Evans Greengrocer's in Skewin
00:15and eventually at Jenkins Cash and Carry with Marlene and Angela.
00:22By this time, Gaynor had spent years singing in front of the mirror
00:26with a hairbrush, learning songs, till one day
00:30Auntie Blod entered her into the competition at Skewin Rugby Club.
00:36She came second and won just one pound, but she was hooked.
00:42She sang Those Were the Days by Mary Hopkin
00:45and the rest, as they say, is history.
