There is a quiet kind of precision in turning something ordinary into something carefully finished.

The clip shows plastic being cut into wing shapes and warmed to curve and hold its form.

The filmer, Tomohiro, told WooGlobe, "I create botanical art sculptures entirely from discarded PET plastic bottles—and only PET plastic bottles. No glue, no wire. The reason I avoid adhesives and wire is simple: completing a work using nothing but PET plastic, without mixing in any other materials, is my own form of recycling and upcycling. Each petal and wing is hand-cut, heated, and shaped one by one. The white vein patterns on the butterfly wings are created by scratching the surface by hand. Every scrap of material is used — nothing goes to waste. This is my way of completing the cycle — what was once destined to become trash is given new life, remaining forever in this new form. A portion of the proceeds from my work is donated to various conservation organizations.”

The methodical steps make the transformation feel measured and satisfying. The finished shapes sit as a reminder of how much detail can be drawn from a single discarded material.
