Some roadside scenes stop traffic long before they reach the lanes.
The video shows a truck engulfed in flames on the roadway as thick smoke pours upward and drifts across the area.
"My truck driver wife and I were driving through Monteagle, TN, on I-24 West toward Nashville when we saw a truck on fire, along with the front part of its trailer. We arrived right after it happened, so I wanted to record a video to warn others about potential traffic buildup and the strong chemical smell. It made us feel very lightheaded, so I wanted to share this video as a warning. There appeared to be some kind of chemical control team on site, but I’m not completely sure," the filmer, Heaven, told WooGlobe.
The front portion of the trailer appears burned as the fire continues to spread.
With the blaze visible from a distance, the moment reads as a stark reminder of how quickly a highway drive can turn into an active emergency scene.
