How To Make Anything Look PRINTED in Affinity
Transcript
00:00In this Affinity tutorial, I'll show you how to create an amazing, realistic print effect on any
00:05text and object in Affinity. It looks almost like someone just printed it right onto the paper.
00:11And the best part? You can apply it to any text and object, and they stay fully editable.
00:17Pretty handy, right? First, I'll use the text tool to type some text. Then, I'll make the text bold
00:24and increase the font size. Next, I'll click on Filters in the Layers panel and choose Add Noise.
00:31In the Live Add Noise panel, I'll drag the intensity slider all the way to 100% to create the
00:37print
00:37effect on the text. You can choose Gaussian or Uniform, but I think Gaussian gives the best print
00:43effect. Make sure to check the monochromatic box so the effect uses only a single color.
00:48Right-click on the Add Noise effect and click Duplicate to make the effect stronger.
00:53You can keep duplicating the Add Noise effect and experiment with different blend modes to get
00:58the look you want. Now, I'll type my channel name to show that the text is still fully editable.
01:04You can also drag the corner of the text box to scale the text up or down.
01:16Next, I'll use the heart tool to create a heart shape and repeat the same Add Noise process to give
01:21it the print effect.
01:43The print effect looks really nice on both of them.
01:52Now, I'll click on the Artboard tool to create a new artboard and duplicate the objects.
02:15If you want to change their colors, simply select an object and choose the color you like.
02:20I'll make the text blue and the heart red. Finally, zoom in and scale the objects up to see the
02:26print
02:26effect more clearly.
02:28Thanks for watching Brian Edits. Subscribe for more Affinity tutorials.
