00:11a car and a fuel tanker on Friday were a mother and her son.
00:14He said the 39-year-old woman and her 12-year-old son were pronounced dead at the scene following
00:20the incident that happened at Kilometer 9 of Jalan Temerlo Triang.
00:24However, he said the identities of the victims will be further confirmed through comparison
00:29of DNA samples from their next of kin.
00:32He said preliminary investigations found that the fuel tanker carrying 32,000 litres of diesel
00:38from Seremban to Temerlo was believed to have skidded into the opposite lane and rammed into
00:42the car travelling from Gerantut to Seremban.
00:45He said the impact caused a fire but the victims were trapped inside the car.
00:50He said the 37-year-old tanker driver managed to escape and sustained only minor injuries.
00:56The tanker driver will be detained to assist investigations for causing death by reckless
01:01or dangerous driving.
