A stunning drone video has captured the Sun appearing to glide through the gothic archways of a historic English abbey during the spectacular solar eclipse.
William Fenning, from Nottingham, UK, filmed the striking footage at Newstead Abbey as the eclipse unfolded over the historic estate.
The footage shows the partially eclipsed Sun moving behind the intricate gothic architecture, creating a dramatic silhouette through the stone arch.
He said: "I took this footage of the Eclipse last night at Newstead Abbey which is stunning.
"My mum couldn’t see the eclipse as she’s in hospital so I rushed and took this for her near her home."
