00:00Tom, it's also beautiful watching the Yankees not be the home run or bust team that they were for years
00:08ago here for a long, long time.
00:11You know, one thing that all of the injuries have done for the Yankees is it forced them to it
00:17forced them to be a scrappy team and have to claw out wins with good pitching.
00:22They upgraded the defense at shortstop.
00:25Who are we kidding there?
00:27And the starting pitch in the bullpen is great.
00:30So, you know what?
00:30Yankees need to score three, four runs, and they're more than capable of winning games.
00:35They did so last night against Seattle.
00:38Not quite the crazy pitching matchup here, but Bryce Miller is another one like Paul Skeens that has lost two
00:47miles per hour over the last three or four starts.
00:50Has gotten absolutely lit up.
00:53It's clear you can see it.
00:55He has not been good.
00:58And who are we kidding?
00:59I mean, that's a lot.
01:00Don't forget, they were bringing him back and giving him two innings.
01:03You know, he was acting like a bulk guy just to give three or four, kind of stretch him out.
01:09He looked great early, but he looks like he's fatigued in a big way.
01:13And then you got Will Warren, who I can't figure out, pitches better at Yankee Stadium, even though lefties crush
01:20him.
01:21He's better at Yankee Stadium than he is on the road.
01:23I don't get it.
01:24But if it ain't broke, I'm not fixing it here, Tom.
01:27Feels like the Yankees will do just enough to win another one here tonight.
01:32They will, and yesterday's line was eight, if I remember correctly.
01:37It was a flat eight.
01:38And now we're getting an eight and a half.
01:41And what have the teams done to prove that they're going to score and threaten nine runs?
01:48When it was 1-0 after six last night or seven, and we got the Ryan McMahon hit, and they
01:56won the game.
01:56What have they done thus far to prove that we should actually see a line increase from day to day?
02:03So, you know, eight, yesterday you could have got, you know, the void, technically, if the Yankees would have won
02:08the game,
02:08or anyone would have won the game, five to three or whatever.
02:10But now we actually have the half run of insurance, and we're getting a better line in the same spot.
02:16Essentially, again, the pitchers aren't the same as they were, but still give me unders.
02:20Unders, unders, unders.
02:23I agree.
02:24I mean, I don't know.
02:25What is the team total at this price for Seattle, Tom?
02:28Like, you've got to be, look at the runs that Seattle has scored as a team over the last two
02:35weeks here.
02:35It's not like they're not running.
02:37They scored two last night.
02:40They've been shut out a couple of times.
02:42It's just, it has not been good for them.
02:45And listen, Will Warren, he is going, he is what he is.
02:50But it feels to me like he's at a comfort level at Yankee Stadium that, again, if it ain't broke,
02:56why are we fixing it?
02:58Is it three and a half?
02:59Is that the total?
03:01Yeah, it's four and a half for the Yankees, the juice to the under, three and a half for the
03:04Mariners, juice to the over.
03:07So you're getting plus 112 and under three and a half for the Mariners.
03:10And listen, I think I could, the Yankees under four and a half, minus 132.
03:15And I'll say this honestly, you know, as a Yankees fan, as I say, you know, a lot of, sometimes
03:19about a lot of my teams, if I bet the under and I win, great, the Yankees come in the
03:23game.
03:23If I lose this bet and the Yankees score six runs, I'm okay with kind of losing the bet every
03:28now and then.
03:28Like, we're all going to lose bets.
03:29And if it means my team succeeding, I'll take the emotional hedge out of it and, or I'll take the
03:34emotional hedge and that'll be my, my win from that.
03:38Yeah.
03:38And, and then listen, the bullpen for the Yankees got a little worked last week, but they're, they seem to
03:44be back on it now, schedule good to go.
03:47They have all of their arms already.
03:49And listen, so does Seattle for that matter.
03:51I mean, Seattle, you know, we forget that's a pretty good bullpen.
03:55And they've had a rough stretch because the starting pitching has been atrocious.
03:59But for the most part, yeah, this is a top 10 bullpen as well.
04:04So I'm with you.
04:05I don't, unless there's some crazy wind going on here, Tom, what are we missing tonight?
04:10I know Bryce Miller is a fly ball guy, but you know, do we trust the Yankees?
04:16Neither of these teams are hitting righties at all over the last couple of weeks.
04:20And that's the problem.
04:22No, I'm seeing five ish mile per hour winning and it's to left field, you know, it's 84.
04:28It's not that humid today, but it's not like it's whipping out to the, the short port.
04:33It's to the opposite side, it's only five miles per hour.
04:35So there's nothing to suggest that eight and a half is a, is a line that you should be too
04:39worried about.
04:41Yeah.
04:41I don't, I don't get that at all.
04:44In fact, here.
04:45So, yeah, I'm with you.
04:47I like the under in that spot there with the Yankees.
