00:0040-year-old Inspector Michael Richards, a Met officer in Learning and Development Command,
00:06was found guilty of sexual assault after a night out with colleagues.
00:11Richards appeared at Southwark Crown Court on 10 August.
00:15The jury convicted him of one sexual assault count and cleared him of another charge.
00:21Richards will be sentenced on 25 September at Southwark Crown Court
00:26and he will also face an accelerated misconduct hearing to address his behaviour.
00:33Chief Superintendent Sean Wilson said Richards' conduct fell far below Met standards,
00:38praised the officers who flagged the behaviour and encouraged all staff to report misconduct.
