Police have released CCTV images of a man they wish to speak to after a woman was assaulted by an intruder who tried to force his way into her home.

00:10The incident occurred at an address in New Cavendish Street, Westminster, on Wednesday 30 July.

00:18Around 23, 48 hours, the victim encountered a person unknown to her in the corridor of her apartment building.

00:25After challenging him, the man followed her into her flat,

00:28where he placed his hand over her mouth and tried to force his way in.

00:33The victim's partner, who was inside the flat, chased the intruder off before he could enter the property.
