00:10Detectives from Leeds CID are investigating and appealing for witnesses following the

00:14incident at Farm Foods on Waterloo Terrace in Leeds on Tuesday 23rd September.

00:20It took place at about 5.25pm after a male police community support officer challenged

00:25a man suspected of shoplifting.

00:28A man assaulted the officer with a bladed weapon causing a hand injury before fleeing

00:32the scene.

00:34A 31-year-old male was arrested in the garden of a property and remains in custody on suspicion

00:39of Section 18 assault and possession of a bladed article.

00:44The officer was taken to hospital for treatment.
