00:31:37Harper with a nice lunge ricochets the ball away. Shot clock at 10. 64 seconds in the first quarter. Spurs
00:31:46have led by one. Portland is led by as many as five. We've had three times.
00:31:50Can I just say this is my first back-to-back in seven years, guys?
00:32:22Look at the drive here.
00:32:23Ben Antonio had a foul to give. I said 20. I put three more years. He's in his 17th season.
00:32:30But he plays with the experience that all those 17 years and two championships would fuel into a series with
00:32:38a young team like this.
00:32:39Yeah, he does all the loud things, but he does all the quiet things as well. The little things. That's
00:32:44what you love about Drew. It's not all for the highlights. It's for the wins.
00:32:47And so he does all the little things that a coach loves. When Tiago was talking about him, he just
00:32:52lit up talking about the ability to be able to coach this two-time champion.
00:32:55And boy, is he off to a great start in the first two games of the series in assists.
00:32:59Yes. You talk about somebody that has been in every playoff situation. He impacts winning. Milwaukee impacts winning. Boston Celtics.
00:33:09He's a guy that will defend one-on-one and then also come down and organize your offense.
00:33:13Kamara drives. Williams cleans it up.
00:33:18So Klingon is on the bench with two early fouls. Williams has come in and he has starred. He's had
00:33:24two consecutive games of 11 points apiece. Six tonight. Seven-one run by the Blazers.
00:33:31Difference of about six seconds. Five and a half seconds. Game clock, shot clock. It's De'Aaron Fox back in
00:33:37the game. Holiday there. Fox sets in the corner. It's a three and it's put down.
00:33:43And Cornette knocks it through.
00:33:46Yeah, once they touch the paint, it changes everything. We talked about it even last night in Minnesota. Once you
00:33:51get in the paint, that inside-out three right there.
00:33:54As they, ooh.
00:33:55Oh, no. They had a shot there at the end on the next three by Rob Williams.
00:34:03That was a terrific first quarter.
00:34:05Play close. Blazers by two at the end of one. They led by as many as five.
00:34:10All right. You're watching the NBA playoffs presented by Google on Prime.
00:34:20Look at tonight's live update presented by FanDuel. You see the numbers right there.
00:34:25The Blazers already have 11 more shot attempts than San Antonio.
00:34:30And Rob Williams taking the place at Klingon with two early fouls. Klingon back in right now.
00:34:35Williams put his fingerprints on this one.
00:34:37Yeah, well, Williams was a plus 13 in game two.
00:34:40Really through his activity on the defensive end, impacting shots at the rim.
00:34:45His activity on offense as a lob threat.
00:34:48So we've seen in that second, in that first quarter, his impact.
00:34:52Jaden Sharp is in. Fiebel is in. Klingon back in.
00:34:55And here goes a beautiful pass on a drive and a finish right there by the man replacing Wenbin Yama
00:35:02tonight.
00:35:02Luke Cornett puts it down.
00:35:04And Cornett now has got seven.
00:35:07But Klingon over Cornett.
00:35:10Rebound picked up and claimed down there by Fiebel, who's in the game for the first time for the Blazers.
00:35:15But at the end of the first quarter, Candace and I talked about who do we want to see get
00:35:19into this action is De'Aaron Fox.
00:35:21And you come right out in the second quarter just with a lot of patience to the lob.
00:35:25And then on this end, get a deflection as well.
00:35:27De'Aaron Fox gets into this game and really gets into the space that Cassie wins and makes sure he
00:35:32lives in that pain.
00:35:33It's going to be a tough night.
00:35:35Fox on Grant. Cornett goes out on Fiebel.
00:35:38And there's a violation. Shot clock violation.
00:35:43And so let's set the lineups because we've got some new players in there.
00:35:46We mentioned Grant.
00:35:48They got Shaden Sharp in the contest.
00:35:50Klingon back out there after starting.
00:35:52Fiebel is in the game.
00:35:54Holiday remains on the floor.
00:35:55That's the Blazer five.
00:35:56Here with the ball now is De'Aaron Fox.
00:35:59He'll take the shot over Fiebel.
00:36:01Rebound inside.
00:36:02Klingon lost it.
00:36:03That nice, aggressive move inside by Cornett.
00:36:06That may be a third foul on Klingon if they call it on the big center.
00:36:13He looked out for them.
00:36:15You see Sharp and Holiday both raise their hand.
00:36:18Good teammates right there, man.
00:36:20That's what you say.
00:36:21Put your hands up right away.
00:36:22Put it up quickly, right?
00:36:23Shaden Sharp will pick up number one.
00:36:27On top, Harrison Barnes, who hurt his left wrist the other night.
00:36:30But he's back in playing tonight.
00:36:33Once again, Drew Holiday doing an incredible job.
00:36:36We talked about as Dylan Harper gets down to paint where San Antonio is living.
00:36:43Drew Holiday doing a great job on Vassell.
00:36:45Just making it tough on him.
00:36:46Top blocking him.
00:36:47Getting into him.
00:36:48Not giving him any airspace.
00:36:52Outside Fiebel three.
00:36:54And Vassell will collect the loose ball.
00:36:57And the Spurs picking and choosing what they want to live with.
00:37:00They want to protect the paint.
00:37:01Burland's going to have to knock down a couple threes to loosen it up as Vassell on that side
00:37:06gets going with his first bucket of the game.
00:37:09Vassell coming off a double-double.
00:37:11His second this season.
00:37:1216 points, 12 rebounds in game two.
00:37:16It's a 7-0 San Antonio run.
00:37:19Outside Holiday.
00:37:20Who drew a three and bring the Blazers to within two.
00:37:25The other end, Vassell.
00:37:27Three, no.
00:37:28And the rebound collected by Fiebel.
00:37:30And now, here's Holiday.
00:37:33Patience right here, Candace.
00:37:35Making sure that he gets the spot he wants to get to.
00:37:38He doesn't do it.
00:37:39Oh, as he turns the ball over.
00:37:40I think I was about to look for him.
00:37:41Vassell.
00:37:46A little miscommunication between Klingen and Drew Holiday,
00:37:51but a rare mistake for the savvy vet.
00:37:55You don't make many.
00:37:5738% shooting for the Blazers.
00:38:00And fighting inside, Sheetan Sharp.
00:38:03With a rebound by De'Aaron Fox.
00:38:05Spurs on the move.
00:38:07And the trailing Cornette, who's hit a three tonight.
00:38:10Touched the stream.
00:38:11Fox in traffic.
00:38:12Cornette inside, grabs it.
00:38:14Outside, corner.
00:38:15Barnes, no on the three.
00:38:17Fiebel, the rebound.
00:38:18And the Spurs doing a great job in the half court,
00:38:21keeping the Blazers out of what they want to do offensively.
00:38:25They can't get the ball from side to side,
00:38:27even without Wimbanyama looming in the paint.
00:38:30Vassell picked up the foul with a bump into Grant.
00:38:34Well, they're controlling it out on the perimeter, Candace.
00:38:37They're not allowing for Portland to break them down often,
00:38:40so the guards are controlling it out front.
00:38:42It's not allowing it to get down to the paint.
00:38:44They don't have Wimby out there,
00:38:45so they don't have the benefit to be able to allow
00:38:48for them to get to the rim all night.
00:38:50Harper checks out.
00:38:51Stephon Castle checks in.
00:38:54Vassell, the foul.
00:38:56And he picks up his second.
00:38:58Sharp driving.
00:38:59Fox defending.
00:39:00Kick out.
00:39:02Grant will take it in.
00:39:03Slicing it to the paint.
00:39:04Over Cornette.
00:39:06And inside, he got it.
00:39:14Crank with a hard-charging move.
00:39:16Cornette picks up number one.
00:39:17Well, he struggled a little bit so far in these first few games,
00:39:20so it's good to see one go down for him.
00:39:22But he's going to stay aggressive.
00:39:24That's what he does.
00:39:25I mean, he's one of the most versatile guys
00:39:26that we have in this league on both sides of the floor.
00:39:30But it's good to see him get to the line,
00:39:32get his confidence going,
00:39:33because they're going to need him.
00:39:34They're going to win.
00:39:36Dealing with the sore left foot.
00:39:38He's been on a minutes restriction.
00:39:40He had five points in game two,
00:39:42five points in game one.
00:39:44Right now with six in the early going here in game three.
00:39:48Vassell chipping his way.
00:39:51Sharpe was there.
00:39:52Castle was right.
00:39:53Holiday in the way.
00:39:54A fadeaway.
00:39:55Perfect.
00:39:57Fouled.
00:40:00Stefan Castle.
00:40:01Boy, is he good.
00:40:01What did he have for breakfast this morning,
00:40:04just in terms of his aggressiveness?
00:40:07Right here, getting to the mid-range.
00:40:11The crowd does not like it as Castle kicks out a bit.
00:40:17And it looked like Joe Holiday went into the space,
00:40:21the landing space a little bit.
00:40:22That's a natural motion in Stefan Castle's shot.
00:40:24It's the first foul on Holiday.
00:40:27Quickly up court, shut up.
00:40:28What speed.
00:40:29And bump there by Fox.
00:40:30He goes careening out of bounds.
00:40:33Foul on Fox.
00:40:35With eight and a half in the half.
00:40:37When you beat Fox up the court,
00:40:39you know you're moving.
00:40:41I told you're moving and you beat Fox up the court.
00:40:46It's a playoff foul.
00:40:47I like it.
00:40:47I like it.
00:40:49Fox number one, sharp at the line.
00:40:53And he's on a minute's restriction.
00:40:55Had a calf injury that...

00:41:19Klingin trying to get a hand on it.
00:41:20Cornett will control it.
00:41:23Even though it wasn't pretty.
00:41:26He's a champion.
00:41:28Cornett is.
00:41:28He's been one of the best backup centers
00:41:30this season in the NBA.
00:41:33And when he's filled in for Wimbanyama,
00:41:35they have won.
00:41:36Castle bumped as he fired.
00:41:38And a foul.
00:41:40Again, second-year player, Stephon Castle.
00:41:44In the playoffs, with Wimbanyama out,
00:41:48has stepped up thus far in this game.
00:41:51And he's doing it inside.
00:41:52He's doing it outside.
00:41:53He's getting to the free-throw line.
00:41:55He's getting the Blazers in foul trouble early.
00:41:58He is an efficient 5 of 7.
00:42:0015 points.
00:42:02He's already gone to the free-throw line five times.
00:42:04Wren picked up his first.
00:42:06He'll check out.
00:42:07And Scoot Henderson will come in.
00:42:09For those just joining us,
00:42:10we talked earlier about it.
00:42:11Henderson at 31 in game 2.
00:42:14Fox positions over Sharp.
00:42:16And De'Aaron Fox has just given San Antonio,
00:42:20with his 4 points,
00:42:22their biggest lead here in game 3.
00:42:25And this is what we talked about.
00:42:26We talked about De'Aaron Fox and also Castle.
00:42:29These two guards, when Wimmy's out,
00:42:31both of their production is sharp.
00:42:34Oof.
00:42:35Mimi up top.
00:42:36Both of their production goes up.
00:42:38They both get ultra-aggressive.
00:42:40And it's good to see them attacking at the same time.
00:42:43Defense!
00:42:45Defense!
00:42:46Portland's bench has been great so far.
00:42:49Plus 9 points.
00:42:50Castle weaving.
00:42:51Trying to feed.
00:42:53Out of the reach of the big man Cornette.
00:42:55The other way.
00:42:56Holiday.
00:42:57Green.
00:42:59Tomah San Antonio.
00:43:01One-point game.
00:43:03Drew Holiday with a beautiful stroke.
00:43:05Oh!
00:43:07Oh!
00:43:08Oh!
00:43:10Holiday with 12.
00:43:12The only blazer in double figures.
00:43:14Castle with 15 for San Antonio.
00:43:17A veteran guard.
00:43:18A young guard.
00:43:19Head-to-head on prime.
00:43:23Arbor Day.
00:43:24The NBA and the Arbor Day Foundation
00:43:27will plant three trees
00:43:29in communities lacking green space
00:43:32for every three-pointer made tonight
00:43:34with the first 32 planted
00:43:37and Bill Walton's honor.
00:43:38Scan to get involved in the celebrations
00:43:40and share your story as part of the Million Trees Project.
00:43:45And you'll have to share the story of you and Bill Walton at one time together.
00:43:51What a legendary figure both on the floor, a champion in both Portland and in Boston
00:43:57and in the broadcast booth and clearly in what you two when you cross paths.
00:44:03Well, Phil Walton was one of the legends of the game and I met him after his career when he
00:44:10was broadcasting and just the joy and energy that he brings to the game of basketball and what he did
00:44:16for this franchise in general.
00:44:17I mean, it was just an honor to know him.
00:44:20Here's Stephon Castle.
00:44:21A game-high 15 points.
00:44:23Holiday is on it.
00:44:26It's Cornette.
00:44:29And they made the switch with Holiday guarding Castle now.
00:44:32As Holiday started off on De'Aaron Fox,
00:44:35kind of neutralized him a bit and now the coach is like,
00:44:38hey, go pick up Castle.
00:44:40He's doing work this first half.
00:44:41He guarded Bissell.
00:44:42He guarded Fox.
00:44:43Now I need you to go guard Castle.
00:44:45Holiday three!
00:44:46And score.
00:44:47And I need you to score, Candace, at the same time.
00:44:49He's doing everything, a little bit of everything.
00:44:52You have bets like Drew Holiday that kind of helps settle you.
00:44:55You have a lot of confidence.
00:44:57He's bringing confidence into these young guys who haven't been in this position a lot.
00:45:08And it's Cornette cleaning it up for two more.
00:45:11Cornette has continued to be effective.
00:45:14Nine points in place of Wembenyama.
00:45:17That basket stops the 8-0 run by the Blazers
00:45:20and ties this game at 43.
00:45:23And we're going to have to keep an eye on Luke Cornette's minutes
00:45:27as Coach Johnson said that he wants to make sure he's fresh
00:45:30going down the stretch.
00:45:31And with Wembe out, he's had to play different minutes
00:45:35than he's been accustomed to playing.
00:45:37Good point.
00:45:38Look at Mitch Johnson.
00:45:39He was a starting big-time guard at Stanford.
00:45:42Played with the Lopez twins.
00:45:44And the Cardinal.
00:45:45Up the middle of it's Henderson.
00:45:49Went right from high school to the G League.
00:45:51And then a high pick by the Blazers.
00:45:55Holiday works his way into the paint.
00:45:58Can we get a tracker on a Holiday run?
00:46:02He has taken over here early in the second quarter.
00:46:06Scoot Henderson, Holiday, hold on.
00:46:08Fiebel off balance.
00:46:10Flying backwards.
00:46:13Never suggested for those young people watching tonight.
00:46:16And a foul called on the San Antonio Spurge Castle number one.
00:46:20Well, Candace, you couldn't have a better model for Scoot Henderson than Drew Holiday.
00:46:27You're talking about a guy, obviously, on the offensive end of the floor
00:46:30that has patience that can mix it up, can score all over.
00:46:33But you're also talking about a guy on the defensive end of the floor
00:46:36that can guard one through five.
00:46:37And when you look at a young Scoot Henderson,
00:46:39you think he can be and mirror what Drew Holiday has done in his career.
00:46:43And in his career, Drew Holiday has grown into this career.
00:46:47He's grown into his role on different teams.
00:46:50And Scoot Henderson, he went through the bumps and bruises of his rookie season
00:46:53where he had to spend time in the G League.
00:46:55And people were questioning whether he was going to be able to be an effective guard in this year,
00:47:01in this league.
00:47:01So to see his growth this year, it is as a result of Drew Holiday.
00:47:05Halfway through the second quarter.
00:47:08Keldon Johnson works on Feibel with a twist and a turn and a shot.
00:47:13And Cornette trying to put it in.
00:47:14He thought he was hammered inside.
00:47:16No call.
00:47:17Holiday the other way.
00:47:19Holiday was 17, a game high.
00:47:21Three.
00:47:22Henderson.
00:47:22No.
00:47:23Rebound, Harper.
00:47:28And the sixth man of the year, slicing inside into Clingon.
00:47:31Leans the reverse.
00:47:33And picked up by Feibel out of bounds.
00:47:36There was the ball out of play.
00:47:38It'll be San Antonio's ball.
00:47:40Nope, it'll be Portland's ball.
00:47:43You can't be mad at that if you're San Antonio.
00:47:45You're doing exactly what you need to do.
00:47:47And that's continue to put pressure on that basket.
00:47:50Just a few misses.
00:47:52But those guys coming off the bench, Keldon Johnson, six man out of the year.
00:47:55Shout out to him.
00:47:56He's come right in and put his shoulder, Candace, right in the middle of the big fellas.
00:48:01He's come right in and put his chest.
00:48:05Timeout has been taken with five and a half to go in the half in this game three.
00:48:11In a series tied at one.
00:48:18It's by four.
00:48:19As we're going to break San Antonio following the suggestion of Frank of Lou Cornett.
00:48:25But let's take a look at this possession again because I think it's off of the Blazers.
00:48:29They ruled it that.
00:48:31And it's San Antonio's ball.
00:48:32A successful challenge by the Spurs.
00:48:34Look at Lou Cornett immediately.
00:48:37Signal four.
00:48:40Yeah, it was off.
00:48:42Well, that's the bench work of the Spurs coaches.
00:48:44You have guys behind the bench.
00:48:45That's total responsibility is to review plays like that and to challenge them.
00:48:50As we see, it is important to have your challenge down the stretch.
00:48:54So if you're going to challenge this early, you've got to make sure you get it right.
00:48:57Robert Williams is back on the floor.
00:49:00Omdi is out there.
00:49:02He's also got Scoot Henderson on the floor.
00:49:06Shaden Sharp is out there.
00:49:09There's now more coaches than players on the bench.
00:49:12He is so right.
00:49:14It's Champagne.
00:49:15It's Bryant.
00:49:17He's a rookie and he's looking.
00:49:19Oh, there's an offensive foul and it goes on San Antonio.
00:49:22That's three offensive fouls that Kamara has drawn in this first half.
00:49:27And Castle picks up his second foul.
00:49:29Yeah, Kamara was just somebody who just, he keeps his chest in front and he's always in your way.
00:49:36Avdia kicks in the corner.
00:49:38Henderson three.
00:49:43And Portland's on a 15-2 run.
00:49:46A move by Castle.
00:49:48A screen by Bryant.
00:49:49The three won't go.
00:49:50A lunging rebound.
00:49:52Avdia, who is 0-5, driving into Castle.
00:49:55Jarred, drives, layup.
00:49:57Williams out of hand, out and out of bounds.
00:50:00It will be San Antonio's ball.
00:50:03And Avdia putting his head down.
00:50:05Used to getting to the free throw line.
00:50:07In this series, only 15% of his points are coming from the free throw line during the regular season.
00:50:1330%.
00:50:14Isn't that amazing, that number?
00:50:15Wow.
00:50:15Well, the physicality of the playoffs, the refs do not call fouls the same in the regular season as they
00:50:21do in the playoffs.
00:50:22Castle, trying to bulldoze.
00:50:24Carter, one, two, three.
00:50:27Bryant can't get it.
00:50:29It's picked up in the corner by Harper.
00:50:33Stephon Castle, a fake.
00:50:35A drive.
00:50:36Can't stop playing.
00:50:37Easy dunk.
00:50:38You can't stop playing.
00:50:39You don't hear a whistle.
00:50:41Play to the whistle.
00:50:56And foul as he takes it in.
00:50:59The all-star, Denny Avdia.
00:51:02Let's see if those sneaks came off the ground, Candice.
00:51:07Oh, yeah.
00:51:08They came off.
00:51:11But you have to play this through the whistle, even if you don't hear anything.
00:51:18And I think all Blazers fans were upset.
00:51:23Sometimes it's what you can get away with, D-Wade.
00:51:25Five-point lead for the Blazers.
00:51:27They've been up by as many as seven.
00:51:29Spurs have led by as many as six.
00:51:32Four lead changes.
00:51:33Five ties in this game.
00:51:35Three at the line is Williams.
00:51:36It's interesting.
00:51:37They didn't put Avdia at the line.
00:51:39They called it off the ball on Williams, which puts him to the line.
00:51:45Avdia's begging for a foul call.
00:51:49Carter Bryant picked up the foul off the bench.
00:51:53His second.
00:51:54Rob Williams at the line.
00:51:56Yeah, Avdia, you don't want to get into that game of begging the refs for a call right now.
00:52:01You in the space as a young all-star, as a young player in this league.
00:52:04You have to earn it.
00:52:05They have to understand who you are, and you've got to continue to show them.
00:52:09You're not going to get it by begging for it.
00:52:11Rob Williams with seven.
00:52:12Two straight games of 11 apiece.
00:52:15Game one and game two in San Antonio.
00:52:18It's De'Aaron Fox.
00:52:21De'Aaron Fox.
00:52:22Carter Bryant.
00:52:23De'Aaron Fox.
00:52:25Golden Johnson.
00:52:26Doubled inside.
00:52:27Rebound Robert Williams.
00:52:29Taken away by Dylan Harper.
00:52:31Back outside.
00:52:32Bryant will drive.
00:52:33Stop.
00:52:34Lean.
00:52:34Layup.
00:52:35No.
00:52:35Rebound Williams.
00:52:36Cobbles up the ball.
00:52:38Avdia in the move.
00:52:39Look at the speed.
00:52:40The drive.
00:52:40No.
00:52:41Knocked away from behind.
00:52:42Counted for two.
00:52:48And that was a fast break right there.
00:52:50Started by Williams.
00:52:54Avdia continuing to put his head down and get to the paint, knowing good things will eventually happen.
00:53:00That's a freight train right there.
00:53:03Coming down heel.
00:53:05Fast with aggression.
00:53:07Brazors are the biggest win of the nine and eight.
00:53:09Fox on top.
00:53:11Avdia the defense.
00:53:15Carter Bryant three.
00:53:17Rebound.
00:53:18Avdia got a hand on it.
00:53:20Cobbled in by Bryant.
00:53:22Three for sale.
00:53:23Bullseye.
00:53:24And Williams, you have your center out 40 feet from the basket.
00:53:28Williams has got to get back in there and help his squad rebound as the best three comes off of
00:53:34an offensive rebound.
00:53:35It's this collective effort right here by San Antonio.
00:53:38It's Henderson.
00:53:39He's got a heater.
00:53:39He has a heater.
00:53:42Henderson with 14 and four threes.
00:53:46No hesitation.
00:53:47His confidence, Candace, is out this roof right now the way he's playing.
00:53:53But he's not taking a lot of four shots.
00:53:55He's taking it within the offense and within himself.
00:54:00Six on the clock.
00:54:03It's Vassell over Henderson.
00:54:05Tipped and won by Carter Bryant.
00:54:07Back outside.
00:54:08Fox triple.
00:54:10With a congested lane, a foul on Portland inside.
00:54:14Two and a half in the half.
00:54:16You talk about confidence, D-Wade, right here.
00:54:19Avdia getting to the paint.
00:54:20Catch and shoot.
00:54:22Scoop has the confidence.
00:54:23He has his feet set.
00:54:24He's trusting the work that he put in.
00:54:26He can get to this point.
00:54:29Four for six from beyond the arc.
00:54:32You don't become a shooter like this in the playoffs if you haven't worked on this.
00:54:37If you haven't seen that go in over and over and over again.
00:54:40And so give him credit for putting the work in months of just focusing on the details to become a
00:54:47great shooter.
00:54:47Wow.
00:54:48Dahl went for defense.
00:54:50Ball was knocked away on the Fox shot.
00:54:53Rob Williams came over to erase it.
00:54:56Moments ago, Scoot Henderson picked up his second.
00:54:59That could have been.
00:55:00That's when ball went down.
00:55:01It could have been number four that Kamara drew.
00:55:04Charges in the first half.
00:55:06He moves his feet in the best of us.
00:55:08Here's a dead ball foul.
00:55:13And it goes on Kamara.
00:55:21Number two on him.
00:55:23The cell with the one.
00:55:26And as you see the cut, it looks like De'Aaron was a little foxy on that play and grabbed
00:55:32him.
00:55:33But the cell goes to the line because the ball was not inbounded.
00:55:40This is savvy.
00:55:42Oh, that was not a foul.
00:55:43Savvy veteran play right there.
00:55:45Savvy right there.
00:55:46But they say the ball don't lie.
00:55:47What you call him, foxy?
00:55:49Foxy.
00:55:53Cornette.
00:55:55Screen.
00:55:56Castle with the ball.
00:55:58Holiday fighting through.
00:55:59Castle grinding his way inside.
00:56:02Lot of folks.
00:56:03Ball knocked away.
00:56:04Second block by Williams.
00:56:06The speed of Henderson.
00:56:08Up there inside.
00:56:15Rob Williams has come in to be a one-man wrecking crew for the Blazers as Bryant of the Spurs
00:56:22has picked up his third.
00:56:24And we can talk all day about live ball turnovers.
00:56:28But sometimes when your defense is ignited by a blocked shot like that, that's almost like a turnover.
00:56:34Where the Trail Blazers are able to get out and transition.
00:56:37Omnia, perfect from the line.
00:56:3914-time All-Star NBA champion and architect of championship dynasties.
00:56:43This documentary becomes both eulogy and reckoning.
00:56:46Jerry West, the logo.
00:56:48Streaming now only on one.
00:56:50Point, point, point.
00:56:50Omnia.
00:56:53Here come the Spurs.
00:56:54They've missed 14 of their last 16 shots.
00:56:57And they're getting good shots.
00:56:59They're getting right to the place in the paint where they want to get to.
00:57:02They've had a couple offensive rebounds inside out threes and just haven't been able to go down.
00:57:06Deflected by Williams.
00:57:08Out of bounds.
00:57:08Shot clock at 11.
00:57:10Well, good luck scoring against a team that takes you out of your first action.
00:57:15That's what Coach Johnson said.
00:57:17They're not going to be able to come down and be comfortable and swing the ball.
00:57:20They're going to have to get into their actions quicker and usually on the first side.
00:57:24You're joining us late.
00:57:26Victor Wimbanyama out.
00:57:27Concussion protocol still.
00:57:29There was a shot away play.
00:57:30Fox will put up a three.
00:57:32And he'll drill it home from outside.
00:57:35That stops a 23-7 Blazer run.
00:57:40It's a seven-point game, Dwayne.
00:57:41All right, Kevin.
00:57:42They're going to need more of that out of Duran Fox.
00:57:44Like you said, when Wimmy does not play, he averages about eight more points.
00:57:47His three-point percentage goes up about eight more percent.
00:57:51So, they're definitely going to need more of that out of Duran Fox.
00:57:53Abdiya off-balance contorting up a shot as he was in a wonder inside the paint.
00:57:59And a foul called on Fox.
00:58:01That is number two.
00:58:04Abdiya again to the free throw line.
00:58:06And potentially in this first half, Abdiya has the opportunity to knock down more free throws in this first half
00:58:12than he has the entire game one and two coming into the day.
00:58:16He's six of seven.
00:58:18What's that there?
00:58:20Abdiya, one of seven from the floor.
00:58:23Seven of eight from the line.
00:58:25With five assists in 17 minutes.
00:58:27He's been very relentless.
00:58:29And that's what you have to do.
00:58:30You have to continue to show them who you are.
00:58:33And he's been relentless every time he comes down the floor.
00:58:36He's attacking.
00:58:37He's putting pressure on that basket.
00:58:40You know the importance of closing quarters.
00:58:43Going into half.
00:58:44If you have a lead and you're Portland, you can't make mistakes with the Spurs.
00:58:48You've got to chip into this.
00:58:49You cannot turn it over.
00:58:51You've got to get good shots on board.
00:58:52Kessel with a burst into the paint.
00:58:55Into Holiday.
00:58:56A fake by Williams.
00:58:57Knocked away.
00:58:58Rob Williams is there.
00:58:59That's a foul on the Blazers.
00:59:09Williams will pick it up.
00:59:11It is number one.
00:59:14I don't know about that one.
00:59:17Let me see.
00:59:18Did he?
00:59:19Right here?
00:59:19Right there?
00:59:20Elbow?
00:59:20Yeah, yeah.
00:59:21He got him on the elbow, Candace.
00:59:25Got a whole hand full of elbow.
00:59:32That little deceleration step that is now taking over in the NBA is hard to have a timing on that.
00:59:41Even though I feel Williams have done an incredible job of standing on his feet, allowing the guards to release
00:59:46the ball before he jumps.
00:59:47Just got caught that time.
00:59:54We're approaching a minute to go in the first half.
00:59:58Avdi with it.
01:00:02Fox with the defense.
01:00:05He'll put on the brakes and put up a two.
01:00:08Williams trying to grab it.
01:00:09Kessel will find it.
01:00:14Fox, Champagny.
01:00:15Here's a three.
01:00:16Good.
01:00:17And right there, De'Aaron Fox, sometimes you've got to play with pace, but you've got to play under control
01:00:24right there, finding Champagny on that three.
01:00:34Bonus both ways now, as Avdi will make a move, bumping into Fox.
01:00:38Shot clock at six.
01:00:40Spinning, twirling, firing, fouled.
01:00:48Three on Fox.
01:00:51Avdi at the line.
01:00:52Well, at first, it was Drew Holliday and Avdi playing a little two-ball action at the top, but definitely
01:00:59going at De'Aaron Fox, trying to put him in a lot of action.
01:01:06Avdi there.
01:01:07He's a 14th-leading scorer in the NBA this season.
01:01:10Stay tuned for the half.
01:01:11It's presented by AT&T.
01:01:13And in the studio, Taylor Rooks hosting with Dirk, Steve, Udonis, and Blake.
01:01:18All next here on Prime.
01:01:21Boy, they've had a busy couple nights.
