00:16And we are roaring into the 20th year of Real Housewives, which is insane but fabulous.
00:22Yeah, I never thought we'd see another season of Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip,
00:25but here we are celebrating two decades of Housewives.
00:29And boy, oh boy, the premiere was, I honestly thought it was fabulous,
00:32and I really appreciated all of Vicky Gunvalson's contributions.
00:36Well, Vicky really showed up and said, you know, I'm just going to be myself.
00:41As she always does.
00:43As she always does.
00:43And it's always magical.
00:44It's TV gold.
00:45It really is.
00:46I know it was funny at first.
00:47I was like, oh, is this kind of going to be just like all the ladies sitting down and reminiscing?
00:51Which would have been cute.
00:53But no, they're giving us drama.
00:54Yeah.
00:55They are understanding all of that, and it's starting in the OC.
00:57Right, yep.
00:58And they had a little yacht day.
01:00And this is where the drama kind of began, I would say.
01:03They get onto the yacht, and then there are these cardboard cutouts of every housewife involved.
01:10So we have Kyle, Portia, Giselle, Vicky.
01:15Luann and Teresa.
01:16Luann and Teresa.
01:17And it's what they look like.
01:18And Lisa Barlow.
01:19And Lisa Barlow.
01:19And Lisa, I can't forget Lisa Barlow.
01:21So it's everyone in their first season cast photo, giant cardboard cutout.
01:25And so it's a moment for them to reflect on times of the past and also faces of the past.
01:31And Vicky says, I think Teresa looks the most different now.
01:35Who do you think changed the most?
01:37I think Teresa changed the most.

01:40Oh.
01:42Which I do think she meant with love and as a compliment, because Teresa is a stunning woman.
01:48And she's only, like, she was beautiful then, but she's continued to get even more beautiful.
01:53And Teresa did, I think she immediately took it not as a compliment.
01:57And she was like...
01:58Well, I don't think anyone took it as a compliment.
01:59She was like, I've only fixed the tip of my nose.
02:01But I really do think that what Vicky meant is, like, you were beautiful then and you're even more beautiful

02:05I think that's what she meant.
02:06Anyways, Teresa took a moment to let that simmer in her spirit.
02:09And then she addressed her later about it.
02:12And, yeah, she wasn't happy about it.
02:14Well, it's also funny, too, because everyone said Vicky looks the most the same.
02:18But then we had a whole moment.
02:20Whole moment about the 20 plastic surgery she did?
02:23Like, I don't think it was 20.

02:26She said it was a lot.
02:27A facial reconstruction.
02:28She said she had, like, it was a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot.
02:30Yeah, I think it was, like, maybe, like, a facelift, a chin implant, a nose job, a lot of stuff.
02:35Well, what doesn't help is because after Vicky said, Teresa looks the most different, and everyone's kind of like, oh,

02:41Teresa started to open up about her time away.
02:44Yeah.
02:45And then Vicky just kind of slams the table and says, pay your taxes!
02:51I always pay my taxes on time!
02:52I pay them early!
02:53And everyone's kind of like, why are you shouting that?
02:56And also, why are you not letting Teresa finish her opening up about that?

03:04Why is she taking her vulnerability and making it, like, a lesson in TurboTax?
03:09Because rarely does Teresa open up about that moment in her life.
03:13And so, it was kind of like a, that was, like, a big deal for her to even start to

03:18And then, yeah, Vicky did have her, like, little mini outburst, which you, I mean, you do a really great,

03:24That was phenomenal.

03:26It's in losing control of your hair.
03:29Teresa also let that simmer.
03:31And then, that also, as she continued to let it fester, it really did hurt her.
03:36I do commend, this is a, because we love our Teresa.

03:46She just is a, she lets things process.
03:48I mean, she's not going to forget any of this.

05:07Atlanta really just did change the game.
05:10And much of that was to do with Nini Leakes and her participation and all the iconic moments
05:15that she brought to the show.
05:16So I love seeing them link up together.

05:22I think they said it was like a hundred and something Housewives are appearing on this

05:46At the Quiet Woman, Gina was there, which it's really special and sweet to see.

05:54Because right now she's battling tongue cancer and she can't even talk at the moment.
05:57So it's nice to have this moment to encapsulate the spirit of Gina on this Roaring 20th special
06:04because she really was the first.
06:06And she let everyone know.
06:07Yeah, she did let everyone know.
06:08Because who was the one who was like, someone was like, oh, Vicky was saying it was all about
06:12her.
06:13And Gina was like, no, it was about my family.
06:14It was the very first Housewife.
06:15The show was written about my family.
06:18Oh.
06:19I thought it was Vicky.
06:20No, it was Vicky.
06:21I thought it was the longest, Ronnie.
06:22But I was the first.
06:23Yeah, she, I, I, the, the lore is that the, whoever, I think it was, what's his name?
06:29Scott Dunlap, I think it's Dunlap or something.

06:32One of the early creators of Housewives, his inspiration was Gina specifically.
06:36And then he sort of like built that season one cast around her.
06:39So she wanted to remind everyone.
06:40It was really nice to see her.
06:41Joe De La Rosa was also there.
06:43Who Kyle Richards did not know.
06:44Kyle, yeah, Kyle did not know.
06:45But she did genuinely feel bad in that confessional.
06:47She was like, oh, I just walked into it.
06:49Joe De La Rosa, if you guys watched season one of Housewives, and I think she was on season
06:53two as well.
06:54And last season was a friend of.
06:56And then she also did a show called Date My Ex with Slade.
06:59Yes.
06:59Which was actually incredible and insane television for the time.
07:04And speaking of Slade, he got his big moment when Vicky was talking about her facial reconstruction,
07:09which came after Slade, then who was dating Gretchen after he broke up with Joe.
07:15I forget what season it was.
07:16Did she say like season four or something?
07:18I think I remember that.
07:18Season four maybe?
07:19A long time ago.
07:20And he likened Vicky's face to Miss Piggy.
07:24And she was really hurt.
07:25So she scheduled several appointments with her plastic surgeon.
07:28And she literally transformed her face simply because of her mark made by a slimy old Slade.
07:36And I mean, Slade, that was a pretty slimy thing to do is compare her to Miss Piggy out loud.
07:41And then the fact that she had a shrine for him, everyone was like, what's happening here?
07:45People were very confused because it felt like we were almost like paying tribute to him.
07:49Yeah, in a weird way.
07:50I think someone was like, is he dead?
07:52And I feel like in a way, I hope that it was a healing moment for Vicky.
07:58I think Luanne helped to be healing.
07:59Yeah, Luanne was like, we're not going to place this man's picture in front of a candle.
08:02We're going to crack it in half.
08:03And then to do a photo, Teresa was like, I was going to do that.
08:06I was about to do that.
08:07Why do we want to look at his face?
08:09I would do this.
08:11Yeah.
08:13That's better.
08:13Wait, that's so crazy.

08:16Because, you know, yeah, it was going to be her little table flip moment.

08:19But yeah, and I do like, Tamra appeared, Shannon appeared.

08:24And we saw the fight between Tamra and Shannon.
08:30You know, I wasn't, I don't know what I was expecting.
08:33It wasn't, I don't know.
08:36I was expecting it to be more explosive.
08:38I thought the verbal exchange was going to be more explosive.
08:40And really what it was is, you know, Tamra did come in hot talking about like, I'm the
08:45one with the man, I'm the one with the house, et cetera.
08:48And so those were certainly digs at Shannon.
08:50And also she was like, my kids are in college.
08:51I was like, I thought Shannon's kids went to school too.
08:53I'm the one that's got a husband.
08:54I'm the one that has kids that are going to college.
08:56I'm the one that has everything.
08:59I'm not the one that's struggling right now.
09:01I think they are like abroad.
09:03Yeah.
09:04Once in Paris.
09:04I don't know.
09:05It was a little bit confusing.
09:07Obviously they weren't in a good place when that happened.
09:10And then, you know, we've seen Tamra and Shannon, they're currently on the season of Orange County
09:13after that fight, trying to repair the friendship.
09:17Vicky did seem to be successful in her brokering of peace with the Trace Amigas.
09:21But it really wasn't even the man or the house or the whatever it was that Tamra said that
09:26really pissed Shannon off.
09:27It was the motion of the drinking issue gesture.
09:32And that's when she walked away and she was like so done with it.
09:35But then also Shannon got back at Tamra saying, you said you were never going to see, I was
09:39never going to see you drunk on the show.
09:40Then you quit because you got so wasted or something like that.
09:42Because remember that new, was it in New Orleans?
09:44I think it was New Orleans.
09:46And then Tamra, her rebuttal was I wasn't drunk or I didn't quit because I was drunk.
09:51I quit because my best friend was in the hospital talking about Teddy and her cancer battle.
09:55So I think it's for them.
09:57It's just like tension, misunderstanding, all compounding, making things.
10:01It's just really difficult.
10:03I will say Tamra is made to dress like the 80s.
10:06She looks so hot.
10:07She looks so good.
10:07I also don't know how the hell you play Bonko.
10:10I'm, I, I was all the housewives that on the East Coast.
10:14I did not understand.
10:15It was like you roll the die, like you, you want to get ones.
10:18I don't know what.
10:19It was very confusing to me.
10:20I couldn't be bothered.
10:21But what was all not confusing to me, but the way that the East Coast girlies highlighted the loudness of
10:29the OC women, their aversion to the constant shrieking of the Orange County girls.
10:34I was like, you know, I've never really thought about it, but they are, they are really loud.
10:39They are, yeah.
10:40They are loud.
10:40And I am someone who I, I am a little bit sound sensitive.
10:44And I was like, damn, it does kind of hurt when they're screaming about Bonko.
10:48Vicky, Tamra, and Shannon, they start at a hundred.

10:50Because I'd say I wouldn't put Heather in that.

10:53But Heather can get loud.

11:09And Tamra gave a speech where she was being nice about Vicky, but then brought up the plastic

11:17There's no need to go get plastic surgery.
11:21Tamra, you were going on the right track, starting off, and then all of a sudden she, you made the
11:26wrong turn.
11:27Right.
11:28And now that was kind of like a little bit awkward.
11:30I think her intentions, I think she was well-intentioned.
11:32I think she meant to say like, you never needed that.
11:35Yeah.
11:35Like, you should have never felt like insecure or not confident about your looks, et cetera,
11:40and Slade sucks.
11:40But the way the delivery was, or maybe like the way it was edited, I don't know.
11:44It was just, it felt like a little like awkward.
11:46I know.
11:47Which, you know, Tamra keeps it fun.
11:49Yeah, she does.
11:49Keeps it spicy.
11:50Keeps it interesting, for sure.

11:52She was necessary for this episode.
11:54And like, she's not even on the cast.
11:55And I will say, it does seem to build up that a lot of the women who Vicky will be

12:00with are not going to be vibing with her.
12:03Look, it's not easy to travel with, I think it was what, seven or eight women for two weeks.
12:08It's, you know, it's tough when people have their quirks.
12:11And I do love Kyle tried to play her prank.
12:13With the van.

12:16She was receptive to it.

12:18Luckily, they didn't have to actually take the van to the club.
12:20But I do like all the girls are kind of down there like, okay, I'll send that.

12:26And that resort, beautiful.
12:28The Surf and Sand Resort, you guys might know it from Laguna Beach.
12:31I feel like, I mean, it was in the Laguna Beach season one premiere, the infamous black
12:34and white affair party.
12:35I feel like they've probably used it on Orange County Housewives.
12:39We just haven't really noticed it.
12:40Oh, you're right.
12:41But it is a really fabulous hotel.
12:42If you're ever in Orange County, go stay there.
12:44Although they don't have air conditioning.
12:46How is it a gorgeous hotel?
12:47So you just, what you do, because.
12:49Don't tell me to open and get an ocean breeze.

13:15It's, I will say, as far as California goes, it's the closest you can get to like a European
13:20feel because you're, you know, on the, you're literally right on the water.
13:23Like there's not much beach, unfortunately, because the beach is disappearing due to climate
13:27change.

13:30So that ocean breeze is right there.
13:32You know what's happening because of climate change too?

13:36So there is no AC.
13:37So if you don't want to go to, I don't mean to, I'm not, I'm not on it.
13:41I loved it.
13:42I loved my stay there, but I think I was so wrapped up in the excitement of being where
13:47the girls were for the first episode of Laguna Beach that I didn't care about the no AC.
13:51I was also there the weekend I was proposing to my now husband.
13:54So we, we had, we were, we were running on adrenaline.
13:56And also like East coast and West coast is different.
13:59Cause Kyle was shocked that like Teresa was in her bathing suit.
14:02Cause she's like, it's so cold out.
14:03Right.
14:04So, so true.
14:06But anyways, so there's that.
14:08Danny is flabbergasted by the lack of AC, which I guess is not great.
14:13You know, I, when I did get to the hotel, I, cause I didn't know, I just figured all
14:17hotels in the United States for the most part, especially if they're really nice, expensive
14:20ones have air conditioning.
14:21And so I remember getting to the hotel and that's one of the first things that they told us.
14:25And I was like, Oh, cause Brian and I kind of run hot at night.
14:29I'd say I would have had to leave.
14:31Yeah.
14:31I found a new place where I would have went to the small town store to get a eight fans.
14:37You could have, they do.
14:38They, you could walk to the small town store.
14:40You could to Laguna surfing sport.
14:43Fabulous.
14:44Very famous.
14:45Also like you just get a paddle and wave it in front of your house for some ventilation.
14:48So beachy.

14:50But guys, we also saw the second episode and it does look really good, but we're not
14:53going to recap that yet.
14:54Well, they go to a hotel with AC.

14:59And a lot of the action is kicking off.
