00:00We should also be making sure we can be responsible pet owners. We don't want
00:03cats necessarily roaming unnecessarily. We know that cats overseas have been more susceptible
00:09to bird flu and with that carries a higher risk for our cats in regards to severe illness and
00:16in many cases death. We knew that this was coming. We've had lots of opportunity to learn
00:22from other continents and other countries about what they have undertaken and the fact that we
00:28need to be really clear and really upfront that this is not eradicable. This is something that
00:35does impact our wildlife. From a cat perspective and cat management perspective I think it's time
00:40now to really think about moving to containing our cats and transitioning our cats to live indoors
00:47and within an outdoor enclosure. We've seen globally live more susceptible to contracting bird flu and
00:53that that can have a detrimental impact to their well-being and their welfare and so now is the
00:58right time to start thinking about how we can keep our cats indoors and contain. But it also is
01:03important to think about dogs and as we're walking our dogs in the park or on the beach, keeping them
01:08on
