00:01hello good evening here we are again how does friday come around so quickly i'm actually not
00:06sure it's gone like a flash and i know for some people it's uh it's been a very long week
00:11but
00:12rather bizarrely we're sort of getting into the swing of it i know lots of people are saying that
00:16um they're saying that it's a very strange old time but we're sort of getting used to it listen
00:22i just am so thrilled that you're all tuning in and thank you so much for your incredible
00:27incredible feedback about doing this show so this is hello let's gab welcome it's so lovely to see you
00:36uh joining in and saying where you're watching from which is lovely from all around the world
00:40uh today which is thrilling for me two of my most favorite men on television we have ben shepherd
00:48the wonderful ben shepherd i've got a story to tell you about ben he might not want me to tell
00:53it but
00:54i may just do that plus we have matt baker of course he was in the one show and country
00:59file
01:00and i want to talk to him about farming he's got all these animals on his farm and he has
01:06the most he
01:06puts up the most incredible footage the most incredible footage about his wonderful animals
01:13including a lamb there was a very lovely lamb very lovely lamb indeed so i want to find out the
01:18latest
01:18on the lamb and his chickens also melissa hensley will of course be joining me as she will be doing
01:24every week she will be doing a snack attack for us all and i think well i sort of vaguely
01:29know
01:30uh that she has got uh uh snacks with matt and ben in mind okay so she's going to she's
01:40got because if
01:40you think about ben shepherd uh and you think about matt they are two of the nicest people you could
01:46ever ever wish to work with or to know um so you think about ben you think of seriously fit
01:54have you been looking at his instagram feed oh my word he's so fit um and i mean fit healthy
02:01fit that's
02:01what i meant he's a very old friend of mine and i know his wife annie and yes that's the
02:05sort of fit
02:06i meant plus of course uh so ninja uh gm tv uh good morning he also did the big breakfast
02:16the bigger
02:17breakfast lovely ben shepherd let's go live to you now shepherd he is standing by it says waiting for
02:25ben shepherd official my lovely friend ben i might call him by his nickname as i know him
02:38yeah we can hear you we can hear you okay i can see you yes my lovely how are you
02:48i'm all right i'm all right it's uh just gone six o'clock on a friday uh so it's getting
02:54very i'm
02:54getting very tired uh it's it's nearly bedtime yeah well okay we'll let you go to bed in a minute
03:00don't you worry um ben thank you very much this is the the second episode of hello let's gab
03:05and it's wonderful to have you on it it's really lovely and hello magazine and everybody out there
03:11adore you they're all uh watching this from all over the world um so mr ben shepherd before we start
03:17to have our chat can we let everybody know am i allowed to share
03:23you do this every time our nicknames uh you can share your you can share your nickname for me of
03:30course you can i i i think very fondly of the uh of one of my most embarrassing moments
03:36with the tv icon right we will we will share this so you and i both worked on the big
03:43breakfast but of
03:44course never at the same time you did the bigger breakfast and then the very first time that you and
03:49i managed to work together was when we were doing eastenders we were doing eastenders live not
03:54actually in the show we weren't no we weren't doing the dumb stuff stuff uh eastenders revealed wasn't
04:00it behind the scenes everything you need to know about eastenders well you used to do that though
04:05because you had your own show on bbc choices it was yes and i did the bbc one daytime and
04:11then we met
04:12yes yes yes we met in the middle now what happened was that ben
04:22ben ben was in his dressing room and i was so excited to be working with him because i'm a
04:27huge
04:27fan and actually ended up being great friends but um huge fan of ben's and i walked into the
04:33dressing room and and do you want to take it from there ben well okay so of as as everyone
04:40can
04:40imagine i uh i was just starting out in my telly career and it was exciting enough doing stuff on
04:46the eastenders set and being at elstree where they used to film it but then we were going to be
04:50doing
04:50this show together uh which was really flipping exciting because i loved the big breakfast and i
04:55was a huge fan of yours anyway and you know uh i wanted to make a good impression and we
05:00were sitting
05:01in makeup i seem to remember we were sitting in makeup and i i can't believe i'm sharing this
05:07i literally just started and you're making me share this so i i was like okay right whatever
05:12happens just be really cool ben because gabby's amazing and you know you've got to impress her
05:16because she's so cool and i'm sitting there and you're sitting next to me and we're sitting as
05:20everyone can imagine with makeup and the guys everyone's been very polite and chatty and i'm
05:24really nervous but i think yeah okay i'm doing it i'm holding my call i'm holding my own and you've
05:27been chatting really lovely and being really gorgeous and lovely and saying oh it's gonna be great fun
05:31and really lovely to work with you i'm really looking forward to it we chatted about some few
05:34bits and pieces and then he said right i'm just gonna go and get changed and i said brilliant i'll
05:38see you out on the square in a few minutes and literally as you went she said one thing just
05:43so
05:43you know you've got a massive bogey hanging out of your nose and i had the most enormous bogey and
05:50i
05:50suddenly sort of because i was so busy trying not to be conscious of looking at myself in the mirror
05:56and look and just looking at you and paying all my attention to you i hadn't noticed i had this
06:00enormous bogey hang out of my nostril and it was waggling it was waggling when you talked
06:09so here we go now the follow-up to this is he looked very embarrassed and this is now i
06:15think
06:15it's 20 years ago 21 years ago that we did this yes it would be yeah yeah um and mr
06:23ben shepherd in
06:24my phone is now bogey boy and my girls who have grown up only ever knowing you as bogey boy
06:32i know
06:32and in fact i think one of your daughters said to me um ben i've never really understood why she
06:38calls you bogey boy can you just tell me what the story is and she's only ever known me as
06:41bogey boy
06:42but actually really without knowing and the thing is like so so there is undoubtedly whatever happens
06:47now i mean it's taught me a really important lesson uh which is you know the last thing you do
06:52before you go on air you go and do anything he checks if there's any bats in the cave
06:56do you know what i mean you've got exactly you've got to make sure everything's clean and fresh
06:59and and there's nothing's good because you just can you imagine talking to someone you've admired
07:04for years you're really excited to meet and then the whole time there's this dangly bogey
07:08hanging out you know you know what but it made me love you even more and i always have um
07:13so ben of course everybody knows you i want to go back before you started doing tv but everybody knows
07:19you
07:23there you go sorry tipping point and ninja and uh break i mean you've been doing breakfast for so
07:31many years and many many guys of course you're still doing it and you do this morning and you do
07:37your football and you do your fitness but how how did that break first happen when what was the very
07:44first thing you ever did on telly the very first thing i did uh well i started working i was
07:50at
07:51university in birmingham as you know i was studying a degree in dance and theater and uh while i was
07:58there there was an advert for a local weather channel the channel that used to make um all the
08:03local weather in the midlands and they used to make the weather for uh the southwest and also for
08:09wales was all based in hockley which is the jewelry quarter in uh birmingham and there was an advert
08:14uh suddenly put up in the drama department at birmingham university and it was they were looking
08:19for a boy and a girl to come and do some filming for them for a sting for a weather
08:22sting which is
08:24kind of like the interstitial before the weather starts it would say something like the weather
08:27sponsored by whatever it is and we were they wanted us to film a weather house me and my friend
08:32claudia who then who had been at rada or went on to go to rada and then became a very
08:36successful
08:36actress and it's brilliant uh anyway i applied for that got that job did that job and i said have
08:41you got any jobs going for the summer as a runner and they said yeah we do actually so i
08:45ended up
08:45running for those guys for well i ended up working for them on and off for the next couple of
08:49years
08:49as a receptionist and painting collecting dry cleaning and you know as you know making cups of
08:56tea and just doing anything that anybody needed doing and and filling it and it was their idea that i
09:00try and get into telly so when i left university i got a show reel together which is a kind
09:05of like a
09:05cv on tape i applied for an advert which ironically was for gm tv's kids strand at the time which
09:12was
09:12called dig it or digging it um and i applied for that and at that audition i met andy peters
09:18who was
09:19then about to go to channel four to set up something at channel four we didn't know what and andy
09:25saw me at
09:26that audition and uh said i'm launching this brand this this this strand on on channel four called t4
09:34uh i'd love you to come and do it with me um will you come and do that and so
09:38my first job
09:39was before all that started he got me hosting this show called control freak which was a sort of a
09:45promo show a short five minute promo show that was on saturday and sunday mornings on channel four
09:49called control freeze i used to have to do that at the end of each control freak like that and
09:54i'd
09:54interview bands and my very first job gabby this is what was so amazing my very very first job in
09:59telly and this was just a small short five minute promo show but my very first job was to fly
10:03to la
10:04and interview the cast for saved by the bell sister sister and moesha which were big shows for us at
10:10the time wow the american um companies that promoted them wanted us to go out there and do this promo
10:16show for them so and even so my first job was flying to la to interview and i'd watched all
10:21these
10:21shows as a kid growing up and then i'm sort of on the set and we were at universal studios
10:26interviewing screech uh dustin diamond isn't it from uh saved by the bell and all the main characters
10:31and then moesha and the girls from sister sister and it was just the most ridiculous thing i'd gone
10:38from i genuinely was uh signing on trying to get some job seekers allowance trying to get myself going
10:44and i went into the unemployment place in loughton near where i grew up and they still talk about this
10:49in a day and i sat down and they said so what sort of work are you looking for i
10:53said well ideally i'd like
10:54to be a tv presenter and they said yeah we're not sure we've got many of those jobs i can
11:00get you a
11:00job in a pub cleaning dishes i said okay i'll take that for the time being and then i did
11:04whatever i
11:05could to try and find some work in the meantime doing everything i could to try and get into telly
11:10and fortunately and you'll know a little bit about this gabby i was in the right place at the right
11:14time there's a lot of luck involved in what we do you have to meet the right people you have
11:18to be
11:18able to take advantage of that and i was very very lucky because i met andy who is still a
11:22really
11:23brilliant friend of mine now and a huge confidant and advisor for me and a mentor i think in many
11:27ways uh to this day and um but that was my first job it was just yeah amazing do you
11:35know that the
11:36wonderful thing about you though in television that you you've always stayed the same and you and annie
11:41have been together for years we now see your home life annie i mean she's a champion
11:47she grows every vegetable she makes jam she does she does all the cooking she looks after you the
11:53two you and the boys are juggling you're working out she she's incredible but when when did you two
12:01meet when did you get married before all of your tv stuff uh well we met at university so we
12:08met in
12:08birmingham so we met way before i started working in telly so i was about 21 so i think that's
12:15kind of
12:16around 1995 1996 um something like that and and so we were we were we sort of got together at
12:25university and trust me i was a a rugby playing idiot at university i had absolutely nothing going
12:31for me i spent my life wearing tracksuit bottoms and looking a mess i lived with my my best mate
12:36sam
12:36and my housemates camilla and victoria and a tori and then helen swapped places with her i was just
12:42talking to them today as well camilla's now a shepherd she runs a farm down in sussex um which
12:48is really really lovely but uh you know i had nothing going for me and then there was this this
12:52beautiful girl on campus uh called annie perks and we knew who she was because she was so glad you
12:59know
12:59how glamorous annie is and she even back then she's beautiful she was so glamorous and you know way way
13:05way out of my league and and i think that when eventually i managed to uh wear her down um
13:13it
13:13was a little bit like you know a little bit of rough for her a little bit of essex rough
13:18uh in
13:19birmingham and and she gave in in the end and sort of you know that was 25 years ago gabby
13:26would you
13:26believe wow you're so that's incredible it's so lovely yeah and the two of you so obviously we
13:32have to talk about this crazy weird bizarre world that we're now living in and how are you coping
13:38as a family you look like you're just getting loads done which is a great thing to do would you
13:43is
13:43that advice you'd give to other people yeah i think i think that we are sort of very keen to
13:48make
13:49sure we punctuate the day with with uh targets and when i say targets i don't mean sort of things
13:55we've got to achieve but moments that we're going to try and do so we make sure that i'm going
14:00to do
14:00some exercise or talk to the boys about making sure they do some exercise or like what are we
14:04going to do and jack uh has been brilliant at making cookies or making cakes he made the most
14:09amazing chocolate cake the other day uh and and so making sure there's activities i did a brilliant
14:14thing that i put on instagram actually with a friend that i met during ninja warrior called monty who's
14:18a jester and my eldest sam has really got into juggling he's taught himself to juggle so we did a
14:24sort
14:24of a juggling master class with monty which was just brilliant so finding things to do that just
14:29breaks up the day because it's very easy for each of the days to roll into the other and having
14:34a
14:34little having a little bit of something in the middle just just to sort of bookmarks a little
14:39moment so you don't just sit on a screen because it's really really easy to drift away and sit on
14:45a
14:45screen and and make sure and the other thing i think that i've said to annie because as you know
14:50annie
14:50loves her gardening particularly is is being outside we're very very lucky that we've got the
14:54garden and there's been a lot of work to do in the garden to get it ready uh from spring
14:59into summer and
15:00getting the veg patch all up and running and also the bad news i'm probably shouldn't tell you this
15:04but uh we have uh we have a rogue rat in our compost heap oh no no honestly this has
15:12been properly i don't
15:13know if anybody who follows hello magazine will be into knowing how to deal with rats uh how do you
15:20do it well i mean we are we are sort of doing our best to try and discourage the rat
15:26from enjoying
15:27the compost heap apparently it's a very common thing uh there is no food in the compost heap there
15:32was some sort of vegetable bits and pieces that's food but but yes but they've been taken out
15:37eggs apparently is is really it's like crack to rats so eggs and eggshells the rat so that and and
15:45she cleared it all out and there may be some eggs now uh i don't know we live by a
15:49park uh i think
15:51there's a lot of rats that we don't see in london in and around london uh but this one has
15:55popped up a
15:56few times i can you imagine honestly i'm a proper wuss as well like she mentions rat and i totally
16:03went the
16:03other way there was no so she's so between us and me and sam and jack with sort of long
16:09gardening
16:10implements at the end just in case it comes running out just trying to apparently if you make a lot
16:14of
16:14noise and you make the habitat wet and and sort of make them feel uncomfortable they'll go away and
16:19they'll go and play somewhere else and look at someone else's yes exactly do some of your singing and
16:27dancing i just want to say my singing and dancing you're absolutely right it would work but just so
16:34people know and you know we've got boys of a certain age and i'm sure your girls enjoyed the film
16:38ratatouille these the idea of the rat oh you've gone you've gone still yes yeah the idea of having
16:45the idea i'm gonna get off the there's my goddaughter ella there she's saying get off the topic of rats
16:49uh the idea of of having a rat in the compost heap there's nothing charming or lovely about it it's
16:55not like remy the rat making a nice vatatouille uh it's it's it's properly you know it's not great
17:01i need i need somebody to come up with some sort of ethical way of us being sure that the
17:06rat doesn't
17:07come back and i'd be absolutely can you not can you can you not learn to love the rat i
17:12mean i
17:12personally couldn't but could you no are you kidding i can't i can't i can't be in the same postcode
17:18as
17:18the rat to be honest much that annie's annoyance she keeps thinking you know why can't you big
17:23strong boys come out here and sort this rat out for me no chance it's like boy and you go
17:27first
17:28it's your compost heap you own the rat do you know it's so funny everyone's going no stop stop it's
17:33it's the rat thing i'm not very good with mice either but oh um but they're hot you're also doing
17:38all the working out because you do i know you do park run which of course you can't be doing
17:42at the
17:42moment but you everyone's saying get a jack russell there we go um uh but you you do all your
17:47exercise you've been doing a lot of that live for people as well haven't you yes in the evenings
17:52which is great i i you know i'm as you know very fond of exercise i think it keeps me
17:58mentally very
17:59balanced to stay fit and healthy i have a bad back which so i have to manage that i've sort
18:04of got to
18:04the age of 45 i am now goodness me and uh and a lot of wear and tear so i
18:11do a lot of training which
18:12i really enjoy sam and jack are getting into it as well now which is really really good fun and
18:16i've
18:16started doing a few evening sessions so on thursday nights at six o'clock we're doing a
18:20hit section session with my friend ben who i train with as well and it's been brilliant the response
18:25has been been amazing actually i've really i've really enjoyed that and i think that's something
18:29else gabby that i put into my day and certainly my week in order to get over um so i
18:37just get through
18:38it and make sure that i'm staying on top of physically feeling uh healthy and mentally feeling
18:44feeling healthy as well if i don't train or i don't get a chance to train then i that can
18:47really
18:47bring me down um emotionally actually interestingly a few people are saying on here um how do you get
18:54motivated to exercise and actually for somebody like you who is you are very motivated as a person
19:00and you are very fit i was saying that before you came on that but how for people who are
19:05now sitting
19:05at home and thinking oh i have to keep up because everybody's exercising what do they do
19:10i so i think the really important thing is don't assume like i'm not particularly motivated i you
19:15know i have it in the back of my mind but i am like everybody else when it comes to
19:19exercise a
19:20procrastinator i will put it off and put it off and put it off especially if i'm going running
19:25outside or whatever it is that i might be doing i think there's two things you can do that i
19:30think
19:30really really help first of all if you can find someone to train with so you've got somebody you
19:34can't let down i think that is really really important well right now there are a lot of
19:39people who are on their own so maybe doing it yes with you online yeah yeah absolutely that's my
19:44point so so i'm training with my my friend steve who's my personal trainer we do it on facetime
19:48i do it with like my instagram sessions that i did yesterday that's with there were about 5 000
19:53people i think watched it at the time we're all doing that together i've done spin classes that i'm
19:58doing here as well just find somebody you can do it with and you can do it together that shares
20:03the
20:03burden so and also you don't want to let them down i think the other thing is and i always
20:08always try and mentally prepare myself for this is understanding that you never feel bad when you
20:13finish doing a workout you will always feel bad if you don't do a workout even if you only do
20:18a
20:18short 5 10 minute workout you will never feel bad at the end of it and it's the feeling at
20:22the end
20:22knowing how i'm going to feel at the end that often is the driver for me to get started the
20:27hardest
20:28thing and if you talk to anybody that trades the hardest thing is the first moments the first step
20:34it's walking into the gym it's walking outside it's putting your trainers on once you've done that and
20:39you get moving it all is so much easier and just do what you can and i guarantee you'll feel
20:44so much
20:45better for doing something than for not having done it in the first place and i try i always try
20:49and
20:49remember that sam's brilliant my eldest he's going out all the time he's really self-mative self-motivated
20:54because he's got sort of set up a little thing with his mates as well on strava so they sort
20:58of
20:58race each other and stuff but jack my youngest isn't at all so it's much harder for him to want
21:03to get out and do things so just trying to be creative with it as well gabby so going in
21:07the
21:07garden and hitting a tennis ball against the wall or just running around just finding any excuse
21:12okay well some people are saying can you do on your thursday night could you make do a beginner's
21:18one as well for people who haven't necessarily done a hit workout could you do a slightly easier one
21:23one thursday yeah yeah well i mean what we do is i think yes absolutely we can do that or
21:29we can do
21:29that another time as well undoubtedly because i think you're you're right you don't want to alienate
21:34anybody but everything that we do on a thursday has sort of a a sort of a less um full
21:40-on aspect to
21:41it as well so you can do the hard version or you can do the medium version or you can
21:44do the easy
21:44version so we try and make it really really inclusive depending on your level of fitness and
21:50how confident you are uh about what it is you're doing so if you're doing sort of press ups or
21:55squats or whatever it is you do a press up in a way that makes it easier for you to
21:59do it and you
21:59only ever have to do as much as you can do as well uh no one's really good advice um
22:05okay so for all
22:06the all the key workers and i don't i'm not just nhs but for all of the people who are
22:12the delivery
22:13drivers the people who are clearing our drains the people who are the postman the post people the
22:18fire every single person do you have a message for them please it's well it's the simplest of
22:24things but it's just a huge thank you i you know we get contacted when i'm doing the breakfast show
22:29and i get contacted a lot by people i'm sure you are as well uh gabby on instagram and on
22:35twitter on
22:35any form of social media just talking about um how difficult it is for certain people doing certain
22:40things and and i mean you know those frontline nhs workers it's just remarkable their bravery and
22:46their commitments putting themselves in harm's way for us and for our families and doing that caring
22:50thing uh that we can't be there to do is remarkable but then there's there's all the infrastructure
22:56behind that the people that are providing uh the the the food the people that are doing the cleaning
23:00you've got child minders that are looking after children and other people's children understanding
23:05they're putting themselves in harm's way we've got people in call centers that having to deal with
23:09everybody's concerns and worries get contacted by a lot of them in in enclosed spaces themselves
23:14are really worried people working in banks uh the delivery drivers you know i think one of the
23:18lovely things about this period is our appreciation for these jobs and these jobs has just rocketed we
23:26understand how vital they all are um we couldn't function without them we're all sort of being thrown
23:33into this this this turmoil where we have to stay at home and do as little as we can geographically
23:38but we still need people to to run the infrastructure and we would be hopeless without
23:44them they are superheroes in in my eyes in so many so many ways i've got family members that are
23:50frontline nhs and i've got family members that are doing sort of key worker jobs and i couldn't be
23:55prouder of them and i couldn't be prouder of of of the great things we are seeing in britain at
24:00the
24:00moment i think it's one of the things that makes britain great is is the reaction that that we have
24:05had
24:05as well you just have to look at captain tom moore and the amount of money that he has raised
24:10by
24:10walking those hundred lengths i think it's 19 million pounds now and that i think my heart
24:16soars with pride then as well because the generosity at a time when money is really difficult for a lot
24:20of
24:20people the generosity of of the great british public when they see something authentic and inspiring
24:26is is it's really moving it's really really moving it really is uh we just got to mention police
24:32and teachers somebody was saying we haven't mentioned yes it's all of those people a big
24:36thank you uh then thank you very much can you just find out can i just ask you about kate
24:42how is kate
24:43garraway and her husband uh well i mean she she posted um she posted on instagram last night
24:50just uh because she and darcy and billy went out for at eight o'clock as well um and just
24:58to say
24:59they can't thank the nhs enough for the extraordinary care they're offering derrick he is critically ill he
25:05is he is very very ill indeed um but he is still with us and as long as he's still
25:12with us there's still
25:12hope and it's that hope that our nhs workers are providing the families that can't be there i mean
25:19that's the that's the heartbreaking thing is they can't be there to to hold the hand or to stroke
25:23someone's hair and but we know because we're talking to people uh today on good morning britain
25:29that actually uh the nurses are offering that care for family members that don't have them uh sadly so
25:37we're all keeping our fingers crossed um and you know sending lots of strength and positivity to kate
25:42and darcy and billy uh for his and then will you let her know that everybody is saying the same
25:46thing
25:47on here they're all sending their prayers and their good wishes and their love and i thought
25:52please part will you pass it on from me and i will everybody yeah undoubtedly i'll make sure she knows
25:57i mean she did say she can't go through all the messages but one of the things in the quieter
26:00moment she gets a chance to read all the messages from people and they bring her such comfort to know
26:03that everyone's out there and she shares in in the fear and the worry for for the millions of
26:08people around the country that are also struggling as well it's pretty indiscriminate this
26:12this virus my cousin's husband has just come out of hospital he just came home today having been
26:16in hospital for 11 days and he's okay he's recovering but it's a it's a slow long recovery
26:22so uh we are all feeling it we're all experiencing it but as she said at the end of her
26:28her post on
26:29instagram which you can see if you look at it is it is you know we all stand together and
26:33i think
26:33that's that's what we're going to come out of this is stronger because we're all going to stand
26:36together and look after each other that's what we need to do and kindness abounds thank you
26:41wonderful wonderful ben i completely adore you bogey boy you are a love only you gabby only you
26:50is that your wardrobe that you shop in by the way every time in your wardrobe yeah you have to
26:55join me
26:56by the way by the way i'll just quickly before i let you go we had lunch a couple of
27:02years ago
27:03and we were talking about this and i was saying come on you need to do more on instagram you
27:07need
27:07to do more and you're like oh i can't i can't do anything i don't know what to do i
27:11said just be
27:11you go and do some of the bonkers stuff that you do and just start doing it now look at
27:16you for heaven's
27:17sake look at you it's true you're an instagram diva listen i listen to you ben if you say jump
27:25i'll say
27:26okay how high it's lovely lovely you do so much you do so much you don't like a compliment but
27:31you do
27:32an immense amount for charity as well cystic fibrosis all sorts of charities actually i should
27:36mention someone did someone did point but one of the things that i uh thank you for that um a
27:41lot
27:41of the smaller charities and charity workers are struggling and smaller charities of course uh
27:46have seen their funding cut dramatically because of what we're going through there is a a small
27:50children's hospice that i work with and we're going to do a charity quiz night we did one a few
27:54weeks ago on the 28th of april it's for the haven house at trust i'm going to be very sneaky
27:59and put
27:59this in here gabby if i know please do if anybody would like to join us i'll put the details
28:04on my
28:04instagram and also on my twitter page i think it's five pounds for a team to enter and you can
28:08just
28:08join us and everyone's invited to my house for a quiz that i will host just a bit of fun
28:13but it raises
28:14money there you know it's a children's hospice on the edge of east london that i grew up very close
28:17to
28:17uh that gets no funding from the government because of course they can't fund it and yet it offers the
28:22most extraordinary respite care for families and children with terminal life limiting illnesses and
28:29they have launched an emergency appeal because they need to create money they need to get money
28:33to keep it going uh so that's one of the things that i've been able to do which has been
28:37lovely
28:37and there's so remind us of that charity and the date please so it's the haven house hospice it's
28:42april the 28th i think it's a tuesday uh but i will put the details on my instagram and my
28:48twitter
28:48and you just go on and register pay a little bit of money uh we made five thousand pounds the
28:52last time
28:52we did it gabby which is just you know amazing and that was very quick we're giving everyone a bit
28:56more
28:56time now and hopefully there'll be some more families and uh everyone's invited around to
29:00my gas for drinks and quizzes lovely bless you ben thank you send my love to annie and the boys
29:05and to your lot as well lots of love bye bye my lovely
29:12lovely ben lovely lovely ben shepherd wow so you might have learned another side ben that you didn't
29:19know before right now we have hopefully coming up next on hello let's gab we have the wonderful
29:25matt baker now of course matt baker does the most incredible things he's like ben they do remind me
29:33of one another but i'm just going to see if matt's standing by so apologies when it when the screen
29:37goes a little bit funny i'm going to see if he's standing by he's not quite there yet
29:43okay matt where are you let's have a look so matt will be here any second now i know that
29:48he's uh been
29:48watching uh we've been messaging each other today i'm also hoping that he might have somebody with
29:54him now i'm not sure if that is going to happen of course matt baker you see on the one
29:58show and
29:59you see on country file country file is one of the most successful there he is one of the most
30:03successful uh tv programs let's have a look at you okay matt baker here he is coming in now mr
30:12matt
30:12baker waiting for matt baker it says on the screen so on this show we also have melissa hensley coming
30:17up uh she's going to be doing a snack attack hello hey it's worked amazing this is the first time
30:25i've
30:25ever done one of these gabby um and i'm so pleased it's with you well i'm delighted i'm really delighted
30:31thank you so much welcome to hello let's gab uh we've just been speaking to ben and the two of
30:35you
30:36do remind me of one and one another i mean you are you well you're both we have side partings
30:44we've
30:44both got brown hair and uh we both do a rather considerable amount of tv don't we you do you
30:51also
30:51both uh started out acting performing dancing i mean you were wait a minute i've got i've done it i'm
30:59gonna play you i've got i've decided to play you if this is okay i've got a theme song for
31:04you
31:04which i've done for you before you know what this is are you ready okay here we go
31:11matt baker there you go every time i see you i just go mama mama matt baker anyway you started
31:20out
31:20singing and dancing didn't you well i kind of well weirdly yeah how it all yes yeah i was a
31:28gymnast
31:28for many many many many many years and i ended up in a in a college production of the musical
31:33greece
31:33to do some backflips and somersaults and kind of body double and sort of be a stunt man uh for
31:38the
31:38guy who was kind of playing the lead in that production and um anyway a couple of days before
31:43the show opened he got laryngitis and i ended up having to step into his role and played his part
31:50and
31:50then i got scouted to go to drama school uh not knowing anything about drama at all um and i
31:57ended up
31:57at drama school in edinburgh um one thing led to another and yes like you say with this whole disco
32:03dancing thing one of the things that i did to make money whilst i was there um was to set
32:09up a 70s
32:10night and i was this guy called butch vendor who was a bartender and um and we had this whole
32:16disco
32:16night where we'd spend the evening um just reliving the 70s basically and that was it
32:22and so how enough so i asked ben about how he first uh started out in television so from going
32:29from that yeah it was it blue peter wasn't it your first well yeah blue blue peter was my very
32:35first
32:35job that um that i got and uh basically it was my uh then girlfriend who is now my wife
32:41her auntie
32:42read in hello magazine i think that uh stewart miles was leaving uh blue peter you get the plug in
32:49for hello well done and um and she said and we said oh well this would be great and at
32:55the time i
32:55was at drama school and you're not supposed to do anything i'll go and audition for anything until
32:59you're fully trained um so i uh i thought oh well i'll be a bit sneaky and we went um
33:04and and and i
33:05basically just rang up the bbc and said uh i think you know it's quite a long story but i'll
33:11keep it short
33:12anyway i rang up a couple of times eventually got through to who i needed to speak to uh who
33:17was the
33:17secretary of the editor at the time and said look i think i may be uh you know the next
33:23blue peter
33:23presenter and she said well i'll stop you there because we've put it out to press and uh we've
33:27got all the people that we're going to audition and i said what so you're not going to give me
33:31a chance
33:31then she said well we can't um and i said well what would i about to have done uh to
33:36get to this
33:37point it was interesting hearing ben talk about his show reel uh you know in his story that he told
33:41earlier on but yeah you have to make this show reel of all the things that you've done on tv
33:45in the
33:45past and i hadn't done anything at all but i said to her look if i could get my show
33:49reel to you by
33:50tomorrow would you have a look at it and um and they said oh well okay go for it and
33:57um we were
33:58lambing at the time on the farm back up in durham and um and i thought right well let's make
34:03a video
34:03about that and all the crazy things that i do in my life and with gymnastics i did somersaults off
34:09the bales i rode around on a unicycle um i i lambed a sheep weirdly um and talked about all
34:16the stuff that we were doing on the farm recorded it all sent it in uh it got there for
34:20the next day
34:21and well the rest is history and here i am now talking to you that's incredible and where's blue
34:27peter i mean i i've always said when i was three i wanted to do blue peter was it was
34:32it as incredible
34:35as it looks yeah yeah i mean it literally takes over your life i mean back then when we were
34:40doing
34:40it was five days a week um and it was we did uh three live shows and we pre-recorded
34:45two um which
34:47then went out on the new cvc channel which was kind of launching at in and around that time um
34:51but it
34:52was just incredible and at the time as well foreign film was so cheap so i filled three passports in
34:59the time that i was there and i did absolutely everything from you know every single environment
35:03you could imagine going to and experiencing um i went there and i met the most remarkable people
35:10as well that was the thing with blue peter uh it opened the door to so many uh people because
35:15you
35:15know you just rang off and said oh you know we're blue peter can we come and make a story
35:18with you so
35:19you were always filming with the best of the best in the places that were just incredible to go and
35:24visit and i look back now and i can't believe what i did um at the time you're just constantly
35:31learning your craft and you're wanting to make really good stories which at the heart is still
35:35what i want to do but you didn't realize how magic what you were actually doing was until now i
35:41look
35:41back and that was what 22 years ago i think you did i mean the first time we met you
35:46were doing blue
35:47peter and i remember at the time you never had your the smile didn't leave your face because you
35:51couldn't you were loving it you were yeah happy you were really and actually i don't think i've
35:57ever seen you grumpy you love what you do i mean you you host one of the biggest shows on
36:03on all
36:04channels which is country file of course you just left the one show i have to say everybody saying
36:09they miss you on the one show which is lovely i'm sure you love to hear that the one show
36:13is just
36:13not the same without you quite frankly but let's go to country file if we may because country file
36:18is a phenomenon it's probably a surprise to everybody who is involved with it that it's
36:25it's a wonderful show yeah yeah i mean it's been in this kind of prime time slot now for well
36:30over
36:3110 years and people even you know it's funny you say that that it is a big surprise when i
36:36went because
36:36i came pretty much a year or so i'd finished blue peter and i was kind of in this in
36:41-between phase
36:42um and jay hunt who was then the controller of bbc one it was her idea to shift it to
36:47this evening slot
36:48and back then it was rural news you know it was quite um you know sunday lunchtime i grew up
36:53on
36:53the show i used to come in you know working on the farm and this that there would all sit
36:57around and
36:57watch country file on a sunday so it was quite a controversial move to move it to this sunday night
37:02slot change it from a kind of rural news into this lifestyle kind of show which it is now but
37:07the the
37:07reason that jay hunt wanted me to do that was because back on the back in the day on blue
37:11peter i would
37:11often take our camera the cameras to our farm and what have you and show you know what life was
37:16like
37:16there and you know the complications of rearing animals and this that you know she said look can
37:20you put the kind of the the younger spin on it because we want to aim it at all ages
37:25you know and
37:26have all bases covered and so we did that right from the start and it was a huge passion of
37:30mine
37:30um and and i was like well i love this is my world this is what i love more than
37:35anything
37:35um and if i love it then other people are going to love it too so i think maybe i
37:39was probably one of
37:40the only people who aren't surprised that it was going to work because i know that world inside
37:46out and i love it so much and it yeah it's it's kind of a window into that world for
37:51people who
37:51live in towns and cities and yet um you know those who do live in the rural community feel like
37:58that
37:58that the flag has been waved for them and um and so yeah it's it's a magic program and we've
38:04actually
38:04been filming uh where i'm talking to you from now on our land here um and it's been magic actually
38:10my kid my son he um he filmed it he was cameraman he's only 12 years old but we got
38:15all the camera
38:16equipment delivered here onto the front there and he was um he was filming it all and it's gone
38:22really well we've and we've done quite a few different items and this that and the other just
38:27yeah so um we did like a links kind of program which was just very quick just so we could
38:32compile
38:33something and get it on air last week uh but brought i think anita's hosting one this sunday
38:39and then the following week we're doing all sorts of bits and pieces around here so i didn't want to
38:44go too far me because i wanted to try and relate to be able to for people to do things
38:47in their own
38:48space too so we did um we put in a wildlife pond here um we were doing bits and pieces
38:54about
38:54wildlife that you can find in your garden and ways that you can bring it in and stuff like that
38:57so
38:58now of course i have to ask you about the lamp before we go people are wanting to know about
39:04panto um but we just oh panto oh yeah the the chickens and the lambs and the chicken you want
39:10to start with the chickens because i've got one here i've got one in my house hang on hang on
39:14there we are this is a little silky this sorry everyone here we go look this is kiki this is
39:19this
39:19kiki now these are more ornamental uh chickens than producers that there she's flapping away
39:24hang on let me just pop it down there there she is look so she they're more um they're more
39:30ornamental these are silkies they're bantams so they're only ever tiny um they're absolutely
39:35beautiful temperament and this one's my daughter's i mean we've got we've got quite a lot of chickens
39:40here layers and what have you um here we've got about 15 or so here but back on the farm
39:46we breed a lot of chickens a lot um and my mum is the queen of the chickens basically um
39:53so what
39:54we've got going on here is we we kind of have a an extension of the farm that we've got
39:59up in
39:59durham so we've got we've got a flock of sheep down here of hampshires and hebrideans which are
40:04black fleeced hebrideans and um hampshires are like a thicker kind of teddy bear sheep so we have
40:10them here but we've brought them from the farm you see so the main flock's up there in durham
40:14and and we should be there right now we should be there right now lambing but obviously with
40:21lockdown we can't go and you know my dad's certainly in the vulnerable group there so
40:26we've got to not be there it's very very difficult but yeah this is kiki um she's in with pop
40:32it and
40:33the other chickens are outside and it's raining at the moment here i don't know if it's raining
40:36where you are it's raining here in london but man i have to say this is probably a first for
40:40hello magazine all right the chicken it's pretty darn fabulous well well let me just show you these
40:48as well hang on a second i'll just pop her on the kitchen table um as you do but light
40:52in a nice
40:53alive oh yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah so that that obviously is a is a is a normal egg
40:57that you
40:57would eat for your breakfast which uh one of ours laid a little bit earlier on today and that that's
41:02the um there you go that's the that's the silky egg but you can still yeah yeah that's kiki's egg
41:08so you can still eat these uh which are lovely and actually one of the things that i did on
41:12sunday's edition of country file was um was turn one of those into john craven um i think which i'll
41:20hang on a second i'll just john's on the top of the fridge hang on john craven's on the top
41:24of the
41:24fridge you've got a chicken on your so i'm in oh fantastic is there anything you can't do because
41:32we've seen your art we've seen you zamming oh yeah my art yeah oh my word that kiki stay there
41:39oh no she's fine she's just we'd see you you you have the farm and that lovely lamb that gorgeous
41:47lamb that you that you showed a few weeks ago yeah yeah yeah yeah that's now a pet lamb um
41:53and
41:54this is the thing with those lambs that lambs when they're pet lambs and they grow very quickly
41:58and they become quite boisterous and wonderful um but yeah they're they're a constant friend when
42:03you've got a pet lamb so um yeah so that lamb is doing really well actually that was one of
42:07the
42:07last times i was there before lockdown happened um so that that lamb is up on the farm where mum
42:14and
42:14dad are everybody on the farm all right though everybody's fine yeah all good thank you for asking
42:18yeah all very good and um but yeah challenging times all around really but to be fair when you
42:24you sort of live quite an isolated life anyway when you're a hill farmer so for mum and dad it's
42:29actually the mum had a had a shopping delivery for the first time ever um so she that was quite
42:36an
42:36event for her to actually have a a shopping person come and deliver some shopping for her so uh how
42:41wonderful anyway do you want to say goodbye to kiki and i'll okay i'll hand it to my wife who's
42:47going to pop her back in the pen hello i know you love your wife as well there you are
42:52nicola just
42:52say hello there you are nicola hello hello hello now you nicola still has the watch that you gave her
43:00many many years ago we did a corporate thing together i don't know if you remember it it was a
43:06charity
43:06it was a white watch it was yeah and nicola still got it yeah she's still got it she loves
43:11it thank you
43:12i've still got it she's so lovely it's so nice to be able to chat to you like this man
43:17okay so two
43:18things i want to know about okay are you going to do more panto because everybody loved you in panto
43:23are you going to do more uh yeah i mean i had a great time with that now the thing
43:27about that is
43:28that michael harrison who's now a big old theatre producer we were at college when i would go back to
43:33that edinburgh drama school he was at college there with me we were at drama school together and he was
43:38on
43:38he was in the year below me so we've known each other for years and years and years and i've
43:42done
43:42yeah i've done a couple of pantos and i've done them for him and um and then he because he
43:47now
43:47produces the palladium panto and he works with andrew lloyd weber and cameron mcintosh and all
43:51this been hugely successful michael harrison um but he said to me look i'm doing um i'm doing one down
43:57at the palladium and it's a circus theme so will you come and because he knows i do unicycle and
44:03somersault and all this stuff he said so will you come and we're going to put a tightrope across the
44:07stage
44:07and will you come and do it and walk a tightrope well i've never i'd never walked a tightrope before
44:12so uh he said look don't worry i'll send one over i'll send a tightrope to you um so i
44:17had one here
44:17in the garden for uh for a good few months beforehand and uh had an absolute ball doing it and
44:24i was there
44:24with with with gary wilmot with julian clary uh with paulo grady sophie isaacs was playing goldilocks
44:31and the cast were absolutely magic i loved it honestly i really did love it so yes there's no
44:38reason why i wouldn't do more pandemonium i'm very pleased to hear it the other thing i want to
44:41know is it true you're going into the jungle and doing i'm a celebrity well it's funny because i've
44:47read that too and it came as a complete surprise to me you know it's funny isn't it how how
44:53these
44:53things i don't even know where that's come from but i think it came from a bookie somewhere
44:57but i um i haven't had any conversations yet you would be awesome so that's not a no then
45:05well i mean you know i i wouldn't uh listen i know i'd sit very rarely i'm reluctant to say
45:13um
45:15no to anything without having a good think about it okay now let's talk about the big nighting let's
45:21get off that because there's oh yes yes under there right so the big nighting is happening on
45:25bbc one coming up next week uh so can you tell us all about it because we want everybody to
45:31watch
45:31it because the money is going to very important well it's going all over the places yeah it is
45:36yeah yeah so um in a nutshell um children in need and comic relief are coming together for a big
45:41old
45:41nighting where we're going to obviously raise awareness about everything that's going on
45:45so many great causes there's so much great work that's been done uh by so many different people
45:51really and so we're going to do our very best um as children in need and as comic relief to
45:57be there
45:57uh for those people who really do rely on those charities you know the most vulnerable people who
46:02who often need care and they need support uh you know at the most important times and and now
46:10yeah i mean ben picked up on this earlier on saying that so many charities are in real trouble at
46:15the
46:15moment and um i mean i sit on the board of children in need i have done for many many
46:19years now
46:20um i've started alongside the late great sir terry wogan it's an amazing charity it means the world
46:26to me 12 years of doing that yeah yeah absolutely and so um and so this came as an idea
46:33initially it
46:33was only a matter of weeks ago it came to the board and we were sitting there going right we
46:37want to
46:37make it happen how do we make it happen so quickly and is it possible to do it and so
46:42the work that's
46:44gone into this to make that you know to be able to put the two charities together to put so
46:48many
46:48people to benefit in such a short amount of time i mean you know yourself the work that goes into
46:52these these appeal nights and often months and months and months to do it in a matter of weeks
46:57has been absolutely incredible and and there's so many people from the entertainment industry who
47:02are offering help they're offering sketches they're offering you know whatever they can really
47:06so it's going to be a wonderful little videos i've just a little video today and the the thing is
47:12that that uh children in need as you know with your amazing ritual challenges is that every penny
47:19of every pound goes to the kids yeah absolutely absolutely we have the uh we've basically got an
47:25emergency fund uh that we that at times like they're well not times like this because it's totally
47:29unprecedented but when when when alarm bells start ringing we can go to that fund and and we can put
47:34it
47:35out there so there's there's children benefiting right now of all of that money that's been raised
47:39um and so we just want to do as much as we possibly can we're going to do our very
47:44best as both of
47:45those charities um to and and you know i'm really cautious about it because i don't want to go on
47:50there and start saying right give us your donations giving your donations because i know how difficult
47:55this is for so many people at the moment but generosity comes in all sorts of different forms you
48:00know it's not just money it's also time it's offering things that you may have at home that can help
48:05somebody else and so if we can just kind of shine a light on certain
48:11a little bit he's gone still we're getting back hopefully he will come back in am i here am i
48:15here sorry sorry yes sorry uh yes i was just saying that you know money generosity comes in lots of
48:22different forms in my eyes um and it's not just those donations it's also just shining the light on
48:28areas saying look help here help there what can you do and so that's what we're aiming for
48:33fantastic just remind everybody when it's on please yeah so it's on uh thursday actually time
48:39is running out thursday this thursday coming um so it's going to be myself uh lenny henry and
48:44davina mccall are going to start things off then we've got the big old nhs clap where we'll be
48:48clapping for carers acknowledging all the wonderful work that's going on right across the board as far
48:53as all frontline workers are concerned um and then after that then paddy mcginnis is going to be there
48:58i think lenny's going to continue and zoe ball's going to join in as well so we'll have a hub
49:02which
49:02actually is going to be the one show studio so bizarre for me to be going back there um because
49:07i went into isolation before i left the one show um so i never ever got the chance to kind
49:13of go back
49:13um so um yeah so we'll be going into a very empty studio because there'll be no audience in there
49:19uh we'll keep the crew down to an absolute minimum and um and we'll see what happens on the night
49:24so yeah from seven from seven good luck with it my lovely and thank you for joining us tonight on
49:29hello let's go and it's always an utter joy following you on instagram is just a joyful experience and you
49:36are a joyful man so thank you bless you right right back at you gabby right stay safe keep well
49:42bye everyone thanks for tuning in just a delight lovely matt baker there oh you see i told you so
49:52we've got ben shepherd and matt baker now hopefully melissa hemsley will be here because of course
49:57every week at the same time during hello let's gab melissa hemsley will be bringing us her snack
50:04attacks and here she comes in and in fact i know what the snack attacks are this week uh she
50:11we're
50:11very sort of sneaky um uh earlier on today she sent through an idea it says it's connecting
50:19there she is hi gabby hello everybody how's your week it's me with my nose actually you know ups and
50:28downs your head goes up and down but um it's actually lovely gabby to have this to look forward
50:34to your beautiful face everyone saying hello from hello and beyond i know what's so lovely is that
50:39people were messaging us and saying they were really looking forward to it which is great and
50:44thank you to everybody that's tuned in now every week that you and i are together every week i'm so
50:50thrilled and we had lovely matt today and ben and of course i hope you have taste tester extraordinaire
50:56henry there hi gabby lovely he's just done a workout and his hair was a bit fluffy so i hope
51:04it doesn't
51:04come across but actually your hair looks fantastic henry we're both going to give each other a little
51:09true this weekend oh well you know what when i was a little girl i had something called girls world
51:14and i used to do cut the hair and put on makeup and i'm now doing it to my daughters
51:18i was cutting hair
51:19right so what are you going to make for us for our snack attack this week well i was very
51:24excited to
51:25see um obviously i'm a long-term long-time long-term fan of both matt and ben it's so nice
51:32doing that
51:33story and you and i were chatting weren't we and we were like shall we theme our snack attack our
51:39sweet
51:39and savory snack around the guys which i thought was an amazing idea of your gabby so having a little
51:45stalk and a little look around came up with these ideas and i'm so glad that matt brought his head
51:49cheeky on because my my muffin for him is egg inspired now um i'm you know they were i've just
51:58brought them out of the oven they was i'm going to send a picture onto hello so you can see
52:02how nice
52:02and big they were and they've obviously a bit like a souffle they've sort of sunk a little bit but
52:07this is
52:07what i've made inspired by um matt baker i've got here do you love how like these two are trying
52:14to be
52:14together you've got eggs we've got cheddar cheese we've got the first of the season's asparagus
52:20uh i wish i had a bit of wild garlic i don't so i put some parsley in and this
52:25is yeah inspired by
52:26by matt because i know he loves the land i know he loves british produce um and i know he
52:31loves
52:31seasonality so henry's gonna have a little bite in a minute or now we need the taste now appropriate
52:36okay so let me just now here's the thing that people will always think of muffins as a sweet
52:43thing but you can have savory ones absolutely oh it's gonna be hot
52:52i give that a 10 out of 10 gabby 10 out of 10 from henry 10 out of 10 remember
52:59she's gonna cut your hair
53:01so you have to say 10 out of 10. strategically see how some of them are really golden at the
53:06edges
53:07i've sort of i'm keeping the golden edge for me and we'll probably have those tonight
53:10the great thing about them is i'll last the next couple of days maybe we'll have them for brunch
53:14tomorrow um but what i really wanted to show you because can i just ask you what goes into them
53:19just tell us what goes into them i'm gonna send you the recipe as well uh cheddar cheese where you
53:24use feta or goat cheese asparagus if you can't get your hands on asparagus at the moment broccoli or
53:28peas uh i put some parsley because of basil mint dill um some eggs and i put some leek but
53:35you could
53:36put spring onions and onion or chives and you just put it all together i just sort of mix it
53:42all in
53:42like a sort of a juggy type thing and then i pour it into those muffin cases um and what's
53:48really nice
53:48if you want mini snacks and you've got any of those mini ones like this is this but you know
53:52something will have them with 12 so you can do real bite-sized ones um and they're they're lovely
53:59they're so delicious okay i love those i can see you've got some other ones down there as well
54:05is this the sweet one gabby have i got time to tell you about these these ends you know the
54:10very
54:10end with asparagus yes yes maybe on tv with a torch to throw them away uh because they're hard and
54:17tough
54:17and not so nice for something like this what you can do is you can make their asparagus ends asparagus
54:22bottoms i make asparagus bottom soup bottom soup you simmer them with some frozen peas maybe a dash of
54:30oat milk or cream bit of garlic and you make a beautiful bright green soup so don't waste them they're
54:35lovely what a brilliant idea all about saving everything and being clever oh my goodness you are
54:41brilliant okay so now we've got on to the sweet muffin got quite a lot of muffins i will be
54:47sharing
54:47these probably maybe this evening i'll leave them on some doorsteps or tomorrow morning um bananas
54:54fair trade bananas or whatever bananas you've got i always get the fair trade when i can uh they've got
54:58really ripe um really we timed this so well they were perfect today you know when they're just perfect
55:05like beyond speckled really really nice and i've mashed them up and i've combined them with some
55:11ground almonds uh you could also use oat flour did we talk about oat flour last week we didn't did
55:16we
55:16no no someone some friends were texting me saying can't get any flour can't get ground almonds can't
55:22get regular flour what can i do so i suggest that because they had porridge oats to grind them up
55:27in a
55:28blender to make oat flour and it works what a great idea and actually for somebody like me who's
55:34gluten-free i can get gluten-free oats and do that you can do that
55:41we need henry to taste one oh henry's gonna taste one all right go on then henry put which one
55:46you
55:46like i'm getting quite full you have to try one but go on then
55:55banana tastic absolutely amazing he's already had one he's had about three in the last five minutes
56:01um we've got i just want to say shout out to my mum i love my mum look she gave
56:08me feedback on my
56:09uh performance with you last week i won't tell you what she said but anyway she bought me this from
56:14a
56:14charity shop yes right and henry's like henry as you know it's very cool so this is not his sort
56:20of
56:20thing and he said to my mum stop buying our stuff but it is our favorite thing and we plan
56:25our week
56:26based on what we're going to put in it and so this week we'll be putting the banana muffins in
56:30so
56:30yeah make some muffins you know banana bread's great you could grate some apple in there too
56:35and the most important thing is you get to enjoy it you don't waste bananas when they go
56:39you know too soft for chomping on and you can share it with a neighbor
56:43perfect you know what i hope your mother told you you were wonderful because you really really are
56:48you're an utter joy so you're going to post the recipe and also hello post the recipe each week
56:54that you give us for the snack attack i'd love to that'd be great brilliant bless you and have a
56:58good week i'll see you next friday bye bye an absolute delight thank you so much i know you've
57:09been tuning in from all over the world and uh thank you very much and a big thank you as
