00:00Hola mi gente, what's up? It's your girl Adrienne by Lone Houghton and we are here at the Nido Mother's
00:05Day Brunch.
00:08Okay, I grew up with Nido. If you're Latinos, you know what's up. You know that Nido has been a
00:13part of our families and a part of our lives for years.
00:15So when I got to have a son, I'm like, listen, you're going to be a Nido boy.
00:19I love the fact that I not only get to use it for him, but also for myself, which is
00:23what we are celebrating today, Mother's Day.
00:26And we're having this brunch really, really reminding us that as moms, we need to pour into ourselves as well.
00:31I love the fact that we're always giving to our children, but we also need to take a moment to
00:36pause and really love on ourselves.
00:38So that's what we're doing today with our Nido lattes.
00:40I love the fact that it adds creaminess to my latte.
00:44I'm also getting that extra support of immunity with it as well.
00:49And especially if you have a toddler, you know that you need not just immunity for your kid, but you
00:52need it for yourself as well.
00:53You need like to, you know, give a little immune support in there.
00:57And I love that.
00:58But yeah, I found out that you could use Nido in your lattes and in your coffee because my familia
01:03in Ecuador, they were doing it way before.
01:05Like that was like a normal thing for us.
01:07They used it for their cereal milk and so much more.
01:10So I also love that Nido is giving recipes on a bunch of different ways that you can use it.
01:14We use it in our avena for my son, literally in the morning.
01:17He's like, yo quiero sopita de avena.
01:19I'm like, I got you.
01:19You already know it's going to have Nido in it.
01:21And so I love that you can actually go to nestleneedle.com and they've got a bunch of recipes on
01:27there how to use it.
01:28Even the ones that we're doing today at the brunch, like French toast lattes.
01:32Trust me, you guys definitely want to try it.
01:35Every Mother's Day, I get to host.
01:37I think that my familia was like, mira nena, you've gone through a lot to become a mother.
01:42You get to host it.
01:43And I love hosting.
01:45I'm like, am I giving Latina Martha Stewart?
01:47But I'm doing a spa brunch, which is what we do every year.
01:51It's a pajama spa brunch.
01:52Me and my sister and my mom and my titi and two of our other aunts, they all come together
01:57and we all have matching pajamas on.
01:59And the men put together like an amazing brunch for us.
02:03And then I have a masseuse come to the house and she does massages.
02:09Funny enough, my mom was supposed to be here with me, but like this is an adult only situation.
02:14You guys know I take my kid with me anywhere.
02:16So because we really wanted this to feel like an adulting moment for these moms, my mom is staying with
02:21my son.
02:22And then that there is nothing more comforting for a mom than knowing that my mom is with my son.
02:28She's amazing.
02:29And I think I've just learned so much from her over the years.
02:33I think the greatest thing I've learned is patience and that we're all doing this for the first time.
02:38Like I'm a mom for the first time.
02:40My son is seeing the world for the first time.
02:42The main thing we can give each other is grace and patience.
02:48So funny.
02:49The greatest thing that I feel my mom gave me was the ability to pray, like knowing that I could
02:54pray.
02:55And for me, I found so much hope in that.
02:58You know, when you're having a day when you feel down, just feeling like you have something higher to connect
03:02to.
03:03And so I'm giving that to my son from a very young age.
03:05Every morning we wake up and the first thing we do is we thank God for a brand new day.
03:08So literally my kid is like, wakes up.
03:11I'm like, what do we do?
03:12He puts his hands together.
03:13Gracias, Jesus.
03:15Like we thank God for a brand new day, for life, for our health.
03:18And so just giving my son a reminder that having an attitude of gratitude is the greatest thing that will
03:24get you through life.
03:27This bag where you can pull like your milk.
03:29That is G.
03:31Listen, hi, the Nido people are here.
03:33I'm just putting this out as an idea.
03:34If you want to collab on like a bomb mother child diaper bag.
03:40I mean, they call them diaper bags.
03:42We also at this point, now that he's a toddler, I don't necessarily need diapers.
03:45What I need is a milk bag.
03:48Like, hi, can we get a sippy cup with a spot for my Nido latte and his Nido sippy cup?
03:59Yeah, I think it's also really hard if you don't have friends who also have children.
04:04I think it's hard to find like that balance of, hi, I know you guys want to come out.
04:09You want me to go out to hang out with you.
04:11But instead, hi, can you come here?
04:12And I'm grateful for friends that understand that my son is my number one priority, especially at this young age.
04:19So, yeah, I'm like, do you want to come do a play date?
04:22Like, I know we set up play dates for our kids with other kids, but I also set up play
04:26dates with my kid and my friends.
04:27I'm like, do you want to hang out with my kid?
04:30What a cool opportunity for you.
04:32And I love that I have friends that love that.
04:35They're like, I'm coming over to hang out with Ever.
04:37I'm going to sit with him and play.
04:38And I think having a village is so important.
04:40So, even something simple like that, like I'll have a girlfriend who will come out of the house and she's
04:44like, I'm bringing Ever a little toy.
04:46I'm going to sit on the floor and play with him.
04:48You go take a shower, like a long, nice shower by yourself, which is very rare for me.
04:55I shower with my kid.
05:00Oh, my gosh, I would love that.
05:02I actually, after doing the Coritos projects with my husband, it really made me fall in love with music again.
05:11And I think just realized that I can have fun with it.
05:13And so, I am going to be working on a solo project.
05:17And I would love, love, love nothing more than writing a song for my son.
05:24I just want to say happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there, whether you're a mom who is
05:31hoping to become a mom,
05:32whether you're somebody who is a mom, whether you are a stepmom, the step is silent kind of mom.
05:38If you are a mom who's grieving your mom or missing your mom, to all the moms out there and
05:44everybody who loves their mom,
05:46besitas.
