00:01Hi, Hola USA. This is Teo. We're here at Coachella. I'm feeling amazing.
00:05I was born in Atlanta, in Georgia, in a pseudo-Columbian culture in Atlanta.
00:11And I moved to L.A. when I was eight.
00:15You know, I always really carried this hybrid, this synthesis that always felt really authentic and organic to me.
00:21I didn't really become aware of it until I was grown and started realizing, like, okay, cool.
00:25So, you know, I didn't really make it a part of my identity. It's more like my art is just
00:30a representation of what I authentically am.
00:33But I'm really honored to be at this Coachella at a festival.
00:36We got the first Latin headliner in the history of this festival, legendary, historic Coachella.
00:42Very, very stoked to have a Teo set here.
00:44Acting has helped tremendously, and I think just allowing me to understand even, I guess, crowd interaction or just being
00:52comfortable.
00:52Although it is very different, acting in front of a camera and performing in front of people, there is similarities
01:00and distinctions, obviously.
01:02I think once I started performing, I realized how much I had accrued or how much experience, actually, I kind
01:11of had in my subconscious, right?
01:12And when I started performing, I was like, oh, wow, I just activated all of these years of experience that
01:17I had as an actor, and it's serving me beautifully as a performer.
01:21So, I'm really grateful for all of the years that I acted.
01:25And, you know, I still take them with me, and I'd still love to continue acting, and I'm really happy
01:29to just be able to create, yeah.
01:31My best friend, Jaden, he has someone on his team named Omar that I really respect, Omar Rambert.
01:39This is a man that's really been with us since I was, like, 13, 14, influencing me and all of
01:44us, really, as a Misfits collective and crew.
01:46And he gave me a really beautiful phone call after my first week at Coachella, just being like, yo, man,
01:51I'm really proud of you for everything that you've done.
01:52And he's been really hard on me in the past, so it feels really good.
01:55Anytime he says something positive to me, I know it's coming from a genuine place.
01:59He is someone I would consider a mentor.
02:02And, you know, Jaden, again, is one of my best friends.
02:05He is my best friend, and he performed with me, and I just love having, you know, it feels so
02:09good to have not only an amazing artist,
02:12but also a good friend on stage with you, sharing a moment as special as this week.
