00:02One of my favorites has to be the Goldfish Dog because, you know, it was also the design from
00:08the premiere of Pooch Perfect. You know, coming from the background that I came from, being on
00:13the premiere in Hollywood and winning the premiere of the show, it was very meaningful for me. So
00:18that has to be one of my favorites. I really like the Pokemon transformations. I love those.
00:25The Vaporeon is quite wild. You know, it has like a fish tail and scales and it's all blue.
00:31We had the giraffe dog. That dog had 44 million views and all over the world, everyone saw it.
00:41When the customer walks into my shop, I always, you know, work with their ideas. Of course,
00:48there are things that they want sometimes that it won't work. And I also want to do,
00:52I always want to do something that A, it's comfortable for the dog to wear it and to get
00:57it done. And also it goes with the personality, right? I'm not going to do, let's suppose the
01:04person wants a tiger and the dog is a very cute Bichon Brise. Then I will, I convince them to
01:10do
01:10like a teddy bear tiger instead. It will still go with the personality. It will still look cute and,
01:15you know, be fun for the dog to, to walk around with it. But if the dog is anxious or
01:21nervous,
01:21I advise them against it because I'm like, look, your dog don't like grooming as it is.
01:26Let's not put them through the extra 45 minutes of doing the dye.
01:33We apply the dye, which is non-toxic, it's vegan, developed for pets. We apply the dye with the
01:41hair dry. So before we do the haircut and we decide the design, we apply the dye. And then the
01:46dye
01:47also sits for about 20 minutes. But depending on the application, if it's a small dog, it takes
01:50about 15, 20 minutes of dye. And it takes about 20 minutes to sit. But while the dog is sitting
01:55for the 20 minutes of the dye, we can do other things. We can do the ears, we can do
01:58the nails,
01:59we can do the sanitarium trim. So it's getting ready to be rinsed in the next 20 minutes. So it
02:05doesn't
02:06really take that much of the time. It's mostly that people get very impressed with the result and
02:11they're like, oh my God, what is it doing to the dog? But it's really just a haircut. And some
02:15of the
02:16haircuts go out in like four weeks. Some of them last longer, like eight weeks or even five months,
02:21depending on the design that you do. But like a giraffe dog, in six weeks, we trimmed it and it
02:28was gone.
02:31I would advise finding a groomer that you trust and keeping your dog in a schedule. You know, the dog
02:36should see the groomer way before eight weeks. I would recommend grooming every four weeks or six
02:41weeks max and go to the same place at the time. Book ahead of time, book it for the year
02:45because
02:46we do develop relationships with them. It's like if you go to the same barber every four weeks,
02:51forever, the person knows how you want the haircut, the person who has sensitivities, if you
02:55like or don't like something. And we learn how to work around their personalities, right? If the
03:00dogs like their paw touch, I already know. So like I get a colleague to like massage their head and
03:05distract them while I do the paws. So you don't get stressed. And then over time, that positive reinforcement
03:10becomes into something that they enjoy. So just find one person, stick with it,
03:16be consistent in your schedule and book it for the rest of the year because, you know,
03:22it's a relationship. It's just like meeting a new friend.
