00:00We're both covering the same total solar eclipse, but our adventures couldn't be more different.
00:04I'm heading north to East Greenland.
00:07And I'm headed to Central Spain.
00:08I'll be watching from the deck of HX Expeditions MS Spitsbergen with over 200 eclipse chasers.
00:15And I'll be watching from the picturesque village of Valoria La Buena on Terra Firma.
00:19I'll be surrounded by icebergs and fjords.
00:22And I'll have rolling crops and open skies.
00:24I'll definitely be packing plenty of warm layers, including my knitted eclipse sweater, which I designed and made myself.
00:32Oh, and waterproofs.
00:34And I'm packing shorts, suntan lotion and multiple hats for multiple reasons.
00:40The biggest challenge for my eclipse chasing will be the unpredictable Arctic weather and seasickness.
00:46Whereas my great challenge comes from the position of the sun, which will be low on the western horizon around
00:51the time of totality.
00:52I'll be taking you behind the scenes of an eclipse voyage with HX Expeditions.
00:57And I'll be sharing my first eclipse experience with you and a group of amazing solar observers.
01:02But no matter whether you're viewing the eclipse from your backyard,
01:05or if you're watching it online across the world,
01:07you can follow along with us on space.com.
