00:19of this very dramatic and serious thing that happened to me and people that I cared about.
00:25I'm referencing how I was wrongly vilified in the murder of Meredith.
00:30Again, I can't speak to what is or is not triggering to Meredith's family.
00:35What I can say is that I've never seen the kind of scrutiny and criticism
00:39pointed towards a wrongly accused man that I've seen pointed towards me.
00:43We felt very strongly that the violence surrounding the theme
00:48is not appropriate for a platform at a comedy show.
00:52But I would have hoped that two decades on, we'd maybe have a little bit more
00:58empathy around using this theme and association in such a traumatic
01:03sort of, you know, event in our lives.
01:06I very much understand that she has her own story to tell,
01:10but we've heard it many, many times now.
01:13I can't say that I was anticipating a petition,
01:15but I was anticipating criticism and pushback in the sense that
01:21I have always received criticism and pushback no matter what I've done.
