00:00I'm with Rochelle for tonight's weather forecast.
00:03Thanks, Tisha. Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago.
00:06Here's the 411 on your weather.
00:08Here's what happened today.
00:10NOAA, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration,
00:14has updated its Atlantic hurricane season forecast.
00:17Forecasters now expect 7 to 13 named storms,
00:22with 2 to 6 becoming hurricanes,
00:24including up to 2 major hurricanes.
00:26These numbers cover the entire hurricane season from June 1st to November 30th
00:32and includes the two tropical storms that has already formed.
00:36Moving on to conditions tonight,
00:39expect mostly fair conditions apart from the risk of brief isolated showers,
00:43with minimum temperatures at 25 degrees in Trinidad and 26 in Tobago.
00:48And for tomorrow, yes, you guessed it,
00:52hot sunny skies that will be accompanied by hazy and breezy conditions.
00:56However, the Met Office says a few periods of showers are likely to favor evening and night.
01:03I'm hoping for some rain.
01:04Any chance to meet the heat is fine by me.
01:07Daytime temperatures will reach up to 33 degrees in Trinidad and 32 in Tobago.
01:12Dust levels remain relatively mild.
01:15Now, for those of you desperately waiting on a somewhat cool day with showers,
01:20well, your wish might come true on Saturday with cloudy periods,
01:24with showers that can lead to thunderstorm activity as expected.
01:28But enjoy it while it lasts because on Sunday, we're back to the usual.
01:33Generally, sunny skies with partly cloudy swells,
01:35with showers likely over a few areas.
01:38Tower sun times now in Trinidad.
01:40Sunrise is at 5.55 and 5.51 in Tobago
01:43and sunset at 6.27 in Trinidad and 6.25 in Tobago.
01:48And if you have plans on beating the heat by the beach,
01:52seas will be moderated waves,
01:541.5 meters to 2 meters in open waters
01:56and below 1 meter in sheltered areas.
01:59It's now time for your tide times.
02:10Ah, ah, ah, ah, don't touch that remote just yet.
02:12I have your Thursday quiz for you.
02:15True or false?
02:16Fog is actually a cloud at ground level.
02:19Is that true? Is that false?
02:21Well, the answer is true.
02:24Fog is a low-lying cloud made of tiny water droplets
02:27or ice crystals suspended near the Earth's surface.
02:31Well, if you didn't know, now you know.
02:33And, well, that's all for weather tonight.
02:35Sachin, any medals today for TNT?
02:38Yes, Rochelle, we have a couple.
02:40Silver in the hurdles event and bronze in the 200.
