00:00Check in with Rochelle for more tonight's weather forecast.
00:03Thanks, Nisha. Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago.
00:06Here's what's happening with your weather.
00:08Today, we had heavy showers as a result of a low-level drop passing Trinidad and Tobago.
00:15It triggered two yellow-level adverse weather alerts from 3 a.m. to 9.30 a.m.
00:20and then later extended from 9.36 a.m. to 4 p.m.
00:25Here, we can see some of the areas that experience heavy precipitation.
00:30Flooding was recorded at Caparo Valley Brasso Road, Penal Rock Road, Sea Black Trace and Rochelle Road
00:37and across Tobago, cloudy skies continued with a few showers across eastern areas.
00:44This adverse weather alert has since been discontinued.
00:48Let's take a look now at conditions in Port O'Swain currently.
00:52We have some scattered clouds with temperatures at 25 degrees, winds are calm
00:58and humidity is at 88%.
01:00Over in Tobago, 26 degrees and we have winds coming east-northeast at 11 kilometers per hour
01:07and humidity at 78%.
01:09If you enjoyed last night's rain, well, you know the saying, if it's nice, do it twice.
01:16More rain is expected tonight.
01:18According to the Met Office, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with a few showers will occur in some areas.
01:25The general intensity of this precipitation is likely to be reduced from today,
01:31but there is still a low to medium chance for the development of an isolated heavy shower or thunderstorm.
01:37Minimum temperatures are coming in at 24 degrees in Trinidad and 25 over in Tobago.
01:43While we might love the rain at night, most of us don't care for it too much during the day.
01:49But unfortunately, that's exactly what we can expect.
01:53Tomorrow, conditions will be cloudy at times in some areas,
01:56with a medium chance of heavy showers or thunderstorms to develop between early morning to mid-afternoon.
02:03Conditions are expected to become generally fair as the afternoon progresses into evening,
02:09but with a chance for a brief shower.
02:11Remember, in the event of a heavy shower, there can be gusty winds and street or flash flooding likely to occur.
02:18The risk of landslips or landslides is highly elevated at this time.
02:24Tomorrow's maximum temperatures are coming in at 32 degrees in Trinidad and 31 in Tobago.
02:30But don't let the weather get you down,
02:32because conditions will improve a bit for the weekend with both Saturday and Sunday giving us fair skies,
02:39becoming partly cloudy by late morning into afternoon,
02:42with brief, light, moderate showers in some areas.
02:45There's a low to medium chance of an isolated heavy shower or thunderstorm,
02:50favoring western Trinidad and hilly areas.
02:53So whatever you have planned for the weekend, make sure your umbrellas are part of it.
02:58For the weekend, maximum temperatures are expected at 52 degrees in Trinidad and 31 in Tobago for both days.
03:05Now let's head over to our sun times.

03:12And sunset is at 5.39 in Trinidad and 5.55 in Tobago.
03:17And for our seas, seas are moderate with waves 1.5 meters to 2 meters in open waters
03:22and 1 meter occasionally choppy near showers in sheltered areas.
03:27It's now time for your Thai times.
03:29That's all for weather tonight.
03:41And happy Universal Children's Day.
03:43Give the kids a kiss for me tonight and tell them that Auntie Rochelle said they are loved and destined for greatness.
03:50But don't go just yet because there's more news when we come back.
