00:00Sure. But you were the face of the talks and a lot of the pre-Trump, you know, Bush era
00:04Republicans.
00:05I can certainly understand the American people are maybe looking at this and they say, well,
00:09it seems like we're making progress and it seems like we're not. Well, the reality, Laura,
00:13is that number one, the Iranians are extraordinarily difficult people. Number two,
00:18they have a fractured system. So there are people within their system who want the war to be over.
00:23There are also people within their system who are crazy radicals who want the war to continue.
00:27Our job is to navigate through that and get the best outcome for the American people,
00:32but for the president of the United States as well. And I do think that where we will ultimately land,
00:37it's going to be messy and it's going to take some time to get there. Where we will ultimately land,
00:41as you see, oil, I think, was at $79 today. Those oil prices are going to come down and stay
00:47down.
00:47Iran will never have a nuclear weapon and the United States will be in a stronger position.
00:51But we're kind of in the middle of the game. And I think people are trying to prejudge exactly how
00:55this is going to go. A sticking point with young voters, the war, the conflict with Iran.
