00:07So the new fire truck here at Orange, it's a significant investment by Fire and Rescue NSW and the NSW

00:15It's a $1.3 million investment. What it provides is the latest technology for our firefighters.
00:21It's state of the art in terms of safety to get crews to and from emergency incidents,
00:26but also in terms of storage of equipment. It's been revised to meet current needs.
00:33And a big enhancement for us is around the carrying of rescue equipment.
00:37It's battery-powered rescue tools, which saves a lot of time and effort for crews.
00:43It allows them to get to work really quickly once they arrive at an accident scene, being the rescue unit
00:48for the Orange area.
00:50The modern fire trucks that we're lucky enough to have today are absolute state of the art in terms of
00:57safety for our firefighters, which is paramount.
01:00Also fantastic for warning other residents when we are in a hurry to get to an emergency incident as well,
01:08in terms of warning devices and the loud horn that you may hear around town from time to time.
01:14There's a lot of research and consultation undertaken before these fire trucks are built to make sure that they're as
01:21fit for purpose as possible.
