00:12A new Pew Research Center survey finds that the cost of everyday living remains
00:16far more important to most Americans than the stock market. Nearly 7 in 10 respondents said
00:21that they're very concerned about the cost of health care. Two-thirds said they're very worried
00:25about the price of food and other everyday goods, while 64 percent said housing costs are a major
00:30concern. By comparison, just 18 percent said they were very concerned about the stock market.
00:35The survey also found that while Democrats and Republicans disagree on economic issues,
00:40both parties ranked the cost of living far ahead of market performance. And when it comes to
00:45President Trump's handling of the economy, opinions remain sharply divided among party lines. However,
00:50the poll found Republican confidence has slipped somewhat since earlier this year as gas prices
00:56rose due to the conflict with Iran.
