00:00So my no vote is reflective of the consistency that I've had in approaching the decisions and policy making around
00:08homelessness, strategy, and investments.
00:11I believe the people deserve greater transparency and oversight into the way the dollars are being expended.
00:16And comparatively, I have continued to advance the work in my own district that has proven to be far more
00:25cost effective in removing RV encampments and permanently housing individuals into permanent solutions.
00:33So it's for that reason that I continue to raise my concerns and objectives.
00:38And sadly, you see Councilmember Nithya Rahman, for example, who is now publicly talking about her concerns about expenditures, continuing
00:48to rubber stamp the very same status quo that she has been a part of.
00:52So I will continue to remain, sadly, the sole no vote on these policies until such time there is a
01:00change in the direction.
01:03At the leadership of the council, with Ms. Rahman at the helm, who has continued to advance the same failed
01:09agenda that she's now complaining about.
