00:03I love how each of our kitties sleep on each side of the bed. Felix is on my side
00:11because Felix is more like me. Frankie's on daddy's side because he's more like
00:17daddy. And yeah the thing in the middle is our pillow, our body pillow that we
00:26hug in the middle. There's our babies. This is me getting ready for bed. My little
00:37breathe rights. Makeup off. Watching the news. Roy's watching TV with his friend Vic.
00:54And I'm here with my kitty cats.
01:04When I was growing up as a little girl I was raised with my grandparents.
01:09And I grew up in my own room and I wasn't allowed to use electricity. I was just
01:15allowed to use anything with like batteries and stuff. It's because my
01:20grandparents grew up in the depression. So they thought it cost more money to use electricity.
01:29I know. It cost more money for the batteries because the price of batteries was way more
01:35than electricity. But I know. But that was their thing. And I would always have to have the door open.
01:43So I didn't really have a lot of privacy. It didn't really bother me. But sometimes I would
01:48like to go in my room after, you know, I would study and everything and do everything in there.
01:55But I would like to dance. Put on some music and dance. And I only had this one little area
02:02where they couldn't see in my room where I could dance. But my grandmother, she, you know, she thought
02:09it was funny. She would like spy on me and she would catch me dancing and she would poke her
02:15head
02:15in and then she would laugh at me and like, I caught you. And I know it's not a big
02:20deal.
02:20She didn't mean any harm by it. But you know how kids are. It's like, it kind of gets to
02:24you like,
02:25oh man, I gotta hide, you know. I gotta like find my little privacy. And it was really hard for
02:31me to
02:32find privacy growing up. Because I wasn't allowed to close my door or anything. I didn't really have
02:39privacy. And I never really grew out of it. Like all my life, I mean, after I grew up and
02:46got my own
02:47place and stuff, I had a lot of privacy because I lived by myself, which I loved. I loved it
02:53very much.
02:53And I've always had a problem whenever I had a relationship or anything where they lived with
03:00me. Because I'm, you know, I like my privacy. And it's still to this day hard to get over that.
03:11Because now, you know, I'm married and the husband is roaming around. And I do these videos, you know,
03:18Stacey Burke. I do like videos a lot. And I'm not used to just someone coming in and bursting in
03:24the
03:24room. And it's the same old thing. They burst in the room and they laugh. Like, oh, you're doing a
03:32video.
03:33And I know he means no harm by it. But it's just like, it just brings up these old memories
03:41and these
03:42old, like, I don't even know what to call it. Like, just a little pet peeve of mine. Like,
03:49my God, I could never get privacy. Because Roy, he has a man cave, you know. And he closes his
03:55door.
03:56And he does his conference calls with his work clients and stuff. And he did that. He did have
04:02a YouTube channel called Five Minutes of Metal. And I respect his privacy to do it. So, still,
04:09just now, I was recording. And he overheard me. And he walked in laughing at me. And kind of ruined,
04:20I had to delete the video. Because it ruined it. And I'm like, and I was just thinking, I get
04:28so pissed
04:28off. And I know I really shouldn't get pissed off at him because he doesn't realize what he's doing.
04:33But it just brings up, it just brings up the past. Like, I have no privacy. I need a woman
04:39cave. I think
04:40I need a woman cave. I need my own room where I could close the door and soundproof it. So
04:48I could be
04:49able to do videos and talk to you guys or dance and be a stupid idiot without being spied on
04:57and without
04:58being judged. Even though I know he probably didn't mean it. But in my head, I'm being spied on and
05:05judged again. Childhood forever. Forever. Forever. And I know I should just get over it and just,
05:17whatever. But then they run my video because I'm in the middle of a thought train or whatever,
05:24thought process. And then when that happens, I lose my train of thought. And
05:31anyway, just bitching. Just bitching to you guys about it.
05:42Me and Roy are trying to figure out the best way to teach one of our friends how to read.
05:49Roy's friends that he knew growing up. He was older than Roy. He's mentally challenged. And
06:03we just found out he doesn't know how to read. Roy has lost contact with him. And then they got
06:10back
06:11into contact. And he lives about like an hour away. And he usually gets rides and he comes and visits
06:19us
06:20a lot. And yeah, we found out he doesn't know how to read. So that's why he stays home a
06:25lot. He doesn't
06:26do much. He likes to breakdance and stuff. And we were supposed to go see him perform today, but it
06:35got
06:35canceled because his ride canceled out. But it's kind of a long story, but trying to make it short.
06:43Um, yeah, we just want to, we've got to figure out ways to teach him how to read, I guess,
06:51um, and get him books and stuff that's, that he'll be able to do. And, and he will want to
07:00do because we
07:01want him to get out of the house because he's always stuck there. And also we don't want him to
07:07be
07:08taken advantage of because since he's mentally challenged, his family handles his money for him.
07:15And, um, so we don't, we don't know if he's getting cheesy or not. But then again, we don't know
07:22if he
07:22wants to learn to read. Maybe he doesn't want to learn to read, but he's over 50 years old. So
07:27I figured
07:27whatever we could teach him would be best because then that way, um, if he needs to get to, to
07:36a bus,
07:36or if he needs to go somewhere, he can come visit us anytime. Or he could just, I don't know,
07:46just
07:46knowledge is power type of thing. So I've been trying to look for books that are simple, but yet not
07:55too simple, not too childlike. So he doesn't feel embarrassed carrying the books. And also, um,
08:05I don't know, it's going to be a difficult process because like I said, he's mentally challenged and
08:11sometimes he might not appreciate trying to be taught to read. Because if you think about it,
08:19he's over 50 years old, he's over 50 years old. I'm sure people try to teach him and he just
08:24gets
08:24frustrated. So who knows, it might not work out. But that is our project at the moment. Good night. Breathe
08:38right.
