00:00Less than 24 hours after one of the most dramatic days of his career, Dr. Anthony Fauci was spotted
00:05back home taking a walk with his wife, Christine Grady. The sighting was not long after he sat in
00:10front of Congress and pleaded the fifth more than 100 times during his explosive Senate hearing.
00:15You might expect he would have a few things to say after saying nothing for hours. Well,
00:20the New York Post overheard Fauci venting, complaining that someone had been, quote,
00:25shouting at me before letting an expletive fly as the couple walked through their neighborhood.
00:30But by the next morning, his mood appeared to have changed. Fauci was all smiles as he stepped
00:34outside of his home to pick up a bouquet of yellow flowers left by an admirer, along with a handwritten
00:39note that read, we love you, Dr. Fauci. The show of support may come as a small comfort as Republicans
00:45continue to turn up the heat. Senator Rand Paul says his committee will move forward with contempt of
00:50Congress proceedings after Fauci refused to answer questions about his handling of the pandemic,
00:55despite having received a blanket pardon from former President Joe Biden.
00:58Senator Ted Cruz, a longtime Fauci critic, took it one step further when talking to Fox News.
01:05He's been the most damaging bureaucrat in the history of America. He should be held in contempt.
01:11He should be prosecuted for perjury. And he should go to jail.
01:15President Trump has threatened to pull the nomination of his pick to lead the Justice Department.
01:19His threat came after the Senate Judiciary Committee delayed a vote on acting Attorney General
01:24Todd Blanche's nomination after two Republican lame duck senators, John Cornyn of Texas and Tom
01:29Tillis of North Carolina, refused to move forward. The reason they hit the brakes on the process is
01:34because they're demanding written guarantees that a controversial $1.8 billion weaponization fund
01:40is gone for good. Without that, no vote. So President Trump threatened to pull Blanche's
01:45nomination and just wait them out until a new Senate convenes after the midterms.

01:52This has been a problem for Senate Republicans for weeks, and it has loomed large over
01:58President Trump's nomination of Todd Blanche to be the full-fledged
02:01Attorney General of the United States. Blanche, of course, is the acting Attorney General right now.
02:08And we had seen a big fight that happened during a Senate Republican
02:13lunch a few weeks ago over this issue. And in response, Blanche announced that the weaponization
02:20fund is going away and that it's over, it's not happening. But we've seen some Senate Republicans,
02:27particularly Senators John Cornyn and Tom Tillis, expressed concerns that it could potentially be
02:32revived in the future, basically because President Trump was a party on that deal. And the concern is
02:39that Trump could sue or move to try to revive it. And they basically want a court order to permanently
02:47end the weaponization fund and ensure that it can't be brought back. And so this has been a big
02:53sticking point for Tillis and Cornyn in particular regarding Blanche's nomination. And what we saw on
03:01Thursday was President Trump lash out at Cornyn and Tillis. And Trump suggested that he might just drop
03:07Blanche's nomination for the Attorney General position until after the midterms when a new
03:14Senate comes in next year. Of course, that's pretty risky. President Trump could wind up being in a
03:20worse position next year trying to get Blanche through if it comes to that. A new study suggests
03:27the nation may be living through a constitutional crisis. Researchers found that nearly eight out of
03:33every 10 swear words used by American presidents over the last century have come in just the past
03:3910 years. And the biggest contributors? President Trump and former President Joe Biden. The two
03:44leaders are responsible for spitting out 538 of the curse words used in the 692 documented cases of
03:51presidential potty mouth since Woodrow Wilson. That's f***ing 78 percent. Trump has made headlines more
03:58than once for his colorful language, most recently promising to, and I'm cleaning this up a bit,
04:02beat the f***ing S out of Iran. That was just this week. Biden, meanwhile, kept his public language a
04:08little more G-rated, but he has had a few hot mic moments of his own over the years. And
04:13it's not
04:13just the White House. Just this week, Ohio Senator Bernie Moreno dropped an F-bomb while grilling
04:18Dr. Anthony Fauci. In that moment, it went quickly viral. The researcher behind this study says there
04:24may actually be a political strategy at work here, arguing that talking a little like, say,
04:28Tony Soprano may make politicians sound more authentic to voters.
