Gears of War: E-Day erscheint am 6. Oktober für aktuelle Xbox-Konsolen und PC.

00:07Gears of War
00:07The Squad is at the heart of every Gears of War experience.
00:10Whether it's in the stories we tell,
00:12or the modes we build,
00:14being a Gear is all about fighting alongside
00:16someone who has your back
00:17when shit gets intense.
00:19Our players have deep connections to their own squads.
00:22They tell stories about lifelong
00:24friends and family that grew up
00:26playing Gears together.
00:26Strangers they met in battle
00:28and became bonded to through the game.
00:31That feeling of fighting
00:32side by side is at the center
00:34of E-Day's multiplayer modes.
00:36And today, we're excited to dive in
00:38and show you more.
00:41Welcome to Horde Siege.
00:43It's an all-new 12-player
00:44evolution of Gears' legendary Horde.
00:47Horde Siege evolves that
00:48iconic, back-against-the-wall Horde
00:50experience that Gears is known for.
00:52With larger, more unpredictable,
00:54more cinematic, and more memorable battles
00:57for you and your squad.
00:59This is three squads
01:00fighting through their own objectives,
01:02criss-crossing with each other
01:04through the largest and most immersive
01:06multiplayer maps we've ever made.
01:08But before you go, you need to choose a class
01:10and gear up.
01:11Each class has its own tactical gear
01:13to match its strategy,
01:15as well as progression journeys that unlock
01:17loadout weapons, armor mods,
01:18and tactical gear mods so you can tweak
01:20your build to your own personal play style.
01:22The Assault class is about controlling
01:24the battlefield with mid-range weapons
01:26while stunning waves of incoming enemies
01:29using the Sonic Disruptor.
01:30Marksman focuses on precision damage,
01:33especially useful with Horde Siege's
01:35longer sightlines, while the
01:36Pulse Drone attacks Locust units
01:38for you and your squad.
01:41The Breacher is a point-blank bruiser
01:43that pushes hard into the frontline
01:44to make risky plays, using an
01:46adrenaline injector to refill health
01:48and reduce incoming damage.
01:50And the Medic is a mid-range revive specialist
01:53focused on keeping your squad
01:54on their feet while under fire.
01:56The Stim Vaporizer revives any gear,
01:59even from other squads, within range.
02:02Depending on the mission type you've chosen,
02:04you'll get a mix of main objectives
02:05that will have you moving around the map
02:07or hunkering down in a location.
02:09These objectives give you more variety
02:12than ever before,
02:13but they're still focused on the Horde feeling
02:15of defending and clearing ways
02:17of unique enemy combinations.
02:19In Horde Siege, this means securing
02:21and protecting rigs.
02:23Large cog recon devices that have been
02:25deployed around the city to scan
02:27and map out the enemy's underground tunnel network.
02:29They are critical to the defense of Polona,
02:32but have the unfortunate, noisy side effect
02:34of attracting Locusts whenever they're activated.
02:36Also scattered around the map
02:38are secondary objectives.
02:40Quick, timed side missions,
02:42like taking out a high-value target,
02:44defusing Locusts explosives,
02:46or delivering a power corp
02:47to juice up an active rig.
02:51Secondary objectives are optional,
02:52but they earn in-session squad perks,
02:54boosting your squad's abilities,
02:56as well as weapon parts that can be redeemed
02:58after your session to upgrade your favorite guns.
03:01As you knock off objectives
03:02and kill Locusts, your squad earns energy.
03:04This can be spent at Supply Caches.
03:07There, you can upgrade squad perks,
03:09grab equipment like grenades,
03:10sentry turrets, razor mines,
03:12and change your loadout on the fly
03:14if you need a different weapon.
03:15Your objectives will often have you cross paths
03:17with other squads,
03:18and these are really unique,
03:19kind of magic moments in Siege.
03:21Like running into another squad's defensive setup
03:23and helping take out some of their waves,
03:25but when you both get assigned positions
03:27near each other, it can set up a joint killzone.
03:29With a huge relief, when your whole squad is DB&O'd,
03:32you see a group of Gears come sprinting around that corner
03:35with a clutch revive.
03:36If Command delivers a Supply Drop,
03:38any squad that fights to secure it
03:40gets a share of the rewards inside.
03:42The first one in gets the best stuff,
03:44so it's often the quick decision
03:45if you can spare the time and effort
03:47while managing your objectives.
03:48But the most intense multi-squad action hits
03:51when our bigger boss appears on the map
03:53and things get even tougher.
03:55Invasions can happen at any time during a mission.
03:58They add new chaos and challenges to the session,
04:01buffing locust enemies
04:02or restricting certain actions until they're defeated.
04:04And it can take more than one squad
04:06to bring these huge monsters down.
04:07These moments of 12 players coming together
04:09to take on iconic locust creatures
04:12deliver this great Gears feeling,
04:14fighting alongside a group of soldiers
04:16to hold the line.
04:17And of course, anyone that helps
04:19gets even more rewards.
04:21That's fucking beautiful!
04:22Once your mission objectives are complete,
04:25Command sends in your ride so you can extract.
04:27You'll fight through one last intense forward wave
04:30to secure the LZ and hold out until your Raven appears.
04:34A successful mission will reward you and your squad.
04:37While you don't technically all need
04:39to make it back to the chopper,
04:40your rewards might suffer a bit
04:42if you leave your comrades behind.
04:44Earned XP will progress your rank,
04:46unlocking new Lodo weapons, mods, and equipment.
04:49But most importantly, any weapon parts you gained
04:52can be redeemed to upgrade your arsenal
04:54for the next fight.
04:55For the first time in a main Gears title,
04:58you can mod our iconic weapons.
05:00Some mods will apply small tweaks,
05:03nudging the gun towards your personal preference.
05:05Other mods are more noticeable,
05:07changing what effects you get
05:08from hitting a perfect active reload.
05:10Or if you want to go nuts,
05:11you can even throw a bayonet on your gnasher.
05:15That intersection between how you set up your weapons,
05:18armor mods, and tactical gear
05:20creates more choice and gameplay strategy
05:22than we've ever had before.
05:24And of course, when you and your squad combine your builds,
05:28it can be the difference that gets you through
05:29in a specially tough mission.
05:31Horde Siege missions mix variety, objectives,
05:34difficulty, modifiers, and harder challenges
05:37each time you play, shaking things up
05:39with things like explosive drone deaths,
05:42only perfect reloads, or even friendly fire.
05:45Poisons also make a return,
05:47meaning the Locust Horde gets more powerful
05:50as you play through a mission.
05:51If you're looking for a dose effect,
05:53the classic Horde grind,
05:54our Horde missions will set you up in one spot,
05:57testing your squad against 10 grueling waves of survival.
06:00All of these elements,
06:02combined with the variety of objective locations on each map,
06:05and of course, the chaotic fun of mixing in
06:07two other squads of real players,
06:09means you'll never have the same experience twice.
06:14The ultimate squad challenge in Gears
06:16has always been founded on Versus modes.
06:19Two squads going head-to-head,
06:20trying to rip each other apart
06:21with a mix of practical teamwork and clutch gameplay.
06:24We wanted to deliver that pure Gears PvP feeling,
06:27but now evolved with E-Day's new movement mechanics.
06:30All our launch modes are 4v4,
06:32as Locust and COG squads square off on all new maps.
06:36PvP is where you hone your skills.
06:38No mods allowed here.
06:40Everyone starts with the same loadout,
06:42fighting on symmetrical battlefields
06:44to claim key weapon spawns across tactical locations.
06:47Our launch maps, Park, Battleship, Outpost, Precinct, Market and Skyward
06:53are all set in and around Kelowna.
06:55And they have that classic Gears feel,
06:57focusing on cover, fronts and lanes,
07:00but with opportunities to use E-Day's new traversal mechanics.
07:04We're starting off with a tight set of four modes.
07:07Team Deathmatch and Conquest,
07:09our new King of the Hill mode,
07:10will feel familiar, but with some great new updates.
07:12And they're joined by two new modes.
07:14In Demolition, each squad battles over a neutral bomb,
07:18and then attempts to plant it
07:19at one of two of the opposing team's bomb sites.
07:22This is Gears PvP battles at their best.
07:24Two fronts colliding, squads coordinating with non-stop action
07:28as you constantly flip between attacking and defending.
07:32Crucible is a great new mode that revolves around the Power Core.
07:36Whoever holds it gains points,
07:37so the scoring zone shrinks and it moves as the round goes on.
07:41This means the fight is always coming to you.
07:43The Power Core's one charge shot
07:45could strip the flesh right off an enemy,
07:48so a well-timed defensive play can lock in that win.
07:51After launch, we'll be adding in new maps, modes,
07:54and events to keep things fresh,
07:56including some favorites that we're excited to bring back.
07:58Gears of War E-Day is a new game,
08:00built from scratch to feel like Gears,
08:02play like new.
08:03So whether you're a Gears veteran

08:35and roll through some matches.

08:39as you continue to train your skills.

08:45in more competitive playlists
08:46while earning exclusive rewards.

08:52themes, and events of the Gears universe.
08:54Our legendary skins are a bit more over the top,
08:57celebrating gritty and imaginative designs
08:59inspired by the vibes of our brand.
09:01When it comes to collecting and growing your own collection
09:04of customization items in E-Day,
09:06we've taken a more old-school inspired approach.

09:37Every season, we'll grow our lineup of Cog and Locust characters,
09:40as well as adding new weapon skins, poses, customization elements,
