00:00Hello this is DampyLongnose and welcome back to another Minecraft Let's Play video.
00:05And I'm continuing my quest to get a full set of gold armour.
00:08As you can see I've still so far only got my one little gold crown.
00:12But hopefully I'll be completely dressed up in gold armour.
00:15Maybe by the end of this video maybe it will take a little bit longer or maybe I'm going
00:18to fail dramatically.
00:19If you haven't seen the last videos of my 404 challenge I recommend you do check them
00:23out simply because you otherwise might not know what's going on.
00:26But basically I've chiselled down to here, I've made a little den, I've got a tree which
00:31will keep growing there and I cut it down.
00:33I've set up a little mushroom farm here although only the red mushrooms are spreading.
00:37I've only got one brown mushroom which I'm saving and hopefully it will eventually spread
00:41and if not I'm just going to have to bloody eat it.
00:43I've made an infinite water source since the last video and that's about it.
00:47I haven't really done anything since the last video.
00:48I'm kind of trying to record pretty much everything in these videos although like a few little
00:52bits of chiselling out and stuff I did while I wasn't recording.
00:55And yeah I'm pretty much ready to go on my next adventure although I'm going to quickly
00:59craft some armour out of all the other gold.
01:01I got 41 gold in my last journey, actually I think I've found some of that before but
01:05I think I've got about, I don't know, probably about 30 gold, maybe slightly less, around
01:0825 gold in my last journey alone and that is mental, it's just gold after gold after gold
01:12so maybe it won't actually take too long.
01:14Look, okay well I've already got an iron chestplate so I don't want that.
01:17Let's make ourselves some gold boots and some gold leggings, will that work?

01:48So, how about I set myself a new challenge of finding the ultimate challenge and making
01:54myself a diamond helmet?

01:56I need a diamond helmet and a diamond sword.
01:59That will be my next challenge and then I will properly look like a king with a diamond
02:03helmet and a diamond sword.
02:04I would be kitted out for life.
02:05So that's going to be what my challenge will be in this video but first I'm going to make
02:09some supplies.
02:10I'm going to make some bread.
02:10Oh, I've got...
02:11I've only got two wheat.
02:12Okay but I've got a load of bone meal on me so I can use that to speed up the
02:16wheat growing
02:17process.
02:17So, I do it on these ones because these weren't growing very much.
02:21And yeah, if I make myself six wheat then that will be enough for two pieces of bread
02:25which will do me okay.
02:27I mean obviously more bread the better but you can only carry like a certain amount with
02:31you.
02:31Let's try and not destroy my land.
02:34I'm going to put some seeds back down as well so they can carry on growing and I'm
02:37not sure if I'm ever going to return to Stampy's Den.
02:39This might be my last time in these surroundings to make the most of it because I'm going deep.
02:44I'm going to go all out and I'm going to just sort of try and see what I can
02:47find.
02:48And actually saying that, because I'm going all out I might as well harvest this bloody
02:51brown mushroom.
02:52It's never spread for me.
02:53So I might as well make myself some mushroom stew as well while I'm here.
02:56I get as much food as possible because I'm obviously going to get attacked and knocked
03:01and punched on my way down.
03:03And actually I might make myself one more bit of bread as well.
03:06I'll leave that going and I want to have as much sustenance as possible and I realize
03:11I destroyed some wheat which I didn't mean to there but oh well it doesn't matter.

03:15I should have enough wheat to make myself more bread.
03:18Yeah I got just enough to make myself some more bread.
03:19I don't need the seeds.
03:21I don't need the bone meal.
03:22I keep the iron armor on me anyway.
03:25Actually no there's no point keeping the iron armor on me.
03:27I'm going to wear my gold armor because it looks more fancy even though armor iron armor
03:33there we go is actually more effective than gold armor so I'll make myself a little bit
03:36more bread.
03:37And yeah I'm ready.
03:38Actually I might eat that bread just to have full hearts before I set off.
03:41Okay what do I need?
03:41I need my sword pickaxe, shovel, cobblestone.
03:44Okay I've got a bucket of water for me.
03:46That might prove useful.
03:47I've got two diamonds already so I only need one more diamond to get my diamond sword.
03:52And how many diamonds do I need for my helmet?
03:54I need five diamonds to make myself a diamond helmet.
03:57And I've got some mushrooms on me and some bowls just in case I do find some more brown
04:01mushrooms.
04:03I've got a bunch more gold there.
04:04I don't know should I make myself a gold sword?
04:07I don't know if I should because I'm trying to get a diamond sword anyway but I don't know
04:10I've just got so much bloody gold left over.

04:15They get destroyed really quickly though.

04:19You kill a few sheep with your gold sword and it's gone but it does look kind of fancy

04:46Okay so yeah as I've said the challenge for this video is to find diamonds.
04:50I've got the gold.
04:51I've got the thing that I was after initially.
04:54So just time to get the diamonds.
04:56And already greeted by a creeper.

04:58Literally seconds into the video.
04:59Let's see if I can lure them into that lava.
05:01Oh and there's a skeleton up there.
05:02That's a bigger worry for me.

05:05Oh god there's the creeper.
05:06The creeper's on fire.

05:08There's another one around here as well somewhere.

05:27It can sometimes drop a music CD.
05:29And of course you can then play that music CD in a jukebox.
05:32And I do have diamonds.
05:34So I could actually make a jukebox.
05:35And I was going to go in that direction.
05:37But there seems to be quite a lot of googlies and stuff over there.
05:40So maybe that's not the best idea.
05:42Luckily I'm over obsidian.
05:43So it did absolutely zero damage to it.
05:44I really want to head like in one direction.
05:47Because in my last videos I constantly kept lost.
05:50Kept getting lost.
05:52I think that was because I kept changing direction too much.
05:55Like I'd start heading one way and then I'd...
05:57Whoa, that nearly hit me.
05:58And then I'd change my mind and start going in another direction.
06:00And because of that it was just a complete jumble mess.
06:03And I kept like doubling back on myself.
06:05And there's a zombie.
06:06And look how much like...
06:07Look how hurt my diamond, my gold sword is already.
06:09That's like half gone.
06:10Okay, forget that.
06:11I'm not taking my gold sword with me.
06:12That's like completely useless making a gold sword.
06:15I actually believe that making a wooden sword is more effective than a gold sword.
06:21Which is kind of ridiculous.
06:23So yeah, forget that.
06:24I don't need my gold sword.

06:29Because I think I got enough to make a lapis block.

06:48And I'm going to use this lapis block as kind of a marker to let me know that I'm nearly
06:52home.

06:56I guess here in this kind of courtyard area would be a good place.
06:58So when I see that lapis block, I know I'm on the right track to returning to Stampy's Den.
07:03If I do ever return there, I may not.
07:05Oh God, watch out for the lava.
07:06Bloody hell, that water well nearly pushed me into that there.
07:08I might block that off if I can actually.

07:16I'm never entirely sure how lava and water physics works.
07:19I'm always kind of scared that they're going to come out at me.

07:27I'm not going to be able to just head in one direction.
07:29I just see something and I just head for it.
07:30I'm never going to only be able to go in one way.
07:32There's too many exciting things for me to explore and look at.
07:36And it doesn't really matter if I don't return to my den.
07:38There's nothing particularly amazing there anyway.
07:40And the challenge is for me to get diamond anyway, so it doesn't matter.
07:44I'm just hoping that there isn't too many scary situations.
07:46I'm fine with any creepers or mobs or anything that comes at me.
07:51As long as I see them coming at me.
07:53If I suddenly turn a corner and there's a creeper right in my face, that's when I panic.
07:56That's when I get scared.
07:57If there's a hallway and I see it at the end of the hallway, I know.
08:01Because I have time to prepare myself and get ready to fight it.
08:03It's just when I turn a corner and it's immediately right there.
08:07That's when things get kind of scary.
08:09I can hear lots of stuff.
08:12I can hear lots of stuff around me.
08:14I think you're supposed to-

08:20Yeah, I think the idea of this is you're supposed to go down.
08:23You're just supposed to keep tunneling down until you get to, I don't know, bedrock.
08:27Maybe that's what you're supposed to do.
08:27Maybe you're supposed to actually get to bedrock.
08:29I know I've kind of set myself my own challenge of getting this armour.
08:32But I think if you're doing this properly, you're supposed to just go as low as you can.
08:36So let's see how low I can go.
08:39Not very low so far.
08:42Like everywhere I go to, I think I'm exploring somewhere new.
08:44Then I just see a torch.
08:45I'm like, oh, I've obviously been here before.
08:48Zombies are the most pathetic, useless mobs ever.
08:51All they do is just barge into you.
08:53Although they did kill one of my dogs.
08:55They killed a guilty buck.
08:57I was killed by a skeleton.
08:58So I suppose I need to get revenge on them slightly.
09:00They're not completely useless.
09:02They might not be good at killing players, but they can kill your dogs.
09:05And I'm going to make the most of these bow and arrows.
09:07And I'm going to wheedle down that creeper before I go for the finishing blow.
09:10Look at this.
09:11I'm getting better at combat.
09:12I think because in the future I plan to do more like PVP maps, like survival games and hunger games
09:18and stuff.
09:19I think this will be good practice at battling.
09:21Although once the update comes out, if it's not already out as you're watching this video,
09:25I'm assuming it is.
09:26But once the update comes out, you'll be able to block as well.
09:28And that sort of just adds a whole new element to battles with things.
09:31And oh look, more gold.
09:32Bloody hell.
09:34I know what.
09:34I should have set a challenge of trying to make like a certain amount of gold blocks or something.
09:38And oh look, a slime.
09:39A slime.
09:41How many bloody hours did I spend trying to make a bloody slime farm to get like just one of
09:47you?
09:47And now I just randomly come across you in a cave.
09:49Oh man, this is like an amazing sea to actually play.
09:53Because like there's slimes easily available and like, oh god I forgot they attack you.
09:57And like there's gold everywhere and I found diamonds.
10:00And look, I've got slime.
10:01I've no need for slimes.
10:02Like I don't think I'm ever going to need to make sticky pistons in this.
10:05I don't know.
10:05Maybe if I eventually upgrade my den at some point I could have like a fancy door that opens using
10:10sticky pistons.
10:11But I don't know, it's just exciting finding slimes.
10:12You don't, you don't find them very often.
10:15Okay, well let's just keep going down this way.
10:17I've got a good feeling about this tunnel.
10:19I haven't died in it yet, which is always an up.
10:21And I've found slimes.
10:23And hopefully I'm going to come across diamonds soon.
10:25There's quite a lot of lapis as well everywhere.
10:27Oh god, and quite a lot of creepers.
10:29I hate it when they don't make sounds when they're coming up at you.
10:31They just sort of sneak up.

10:34It's that bloody slime that's pushing into me.

10:38Ooh, that was close.
10:39I kept trying to back off from it, but then the creeper, the slime was just like nudging me closer.
10:44Like the little slimes don't actually hurt you, but maybe they work in tandem with the creepers.
10:48Like they double T me.
10:49The slime sticks me to the floor, then the creeper moves in for the kill.
10:52There's another skeleton down there.
10:53See if I can knock him in the lava at all.
10:55Heh, it worked!
10:57It's a bit of a dangerous area here, because there's kind of a lot of lava and water pushing me
11:01towards lava.
11:02I'll make myself a little mini platform here.
11:06Is that more gold?
11:08Oh, I thought I saw more gold on the ceiling there.
11:10I think that was just the way the light was shining.
11:12I'm not even after gold anymore.
11:13I've just got gold on the brain, because that's what I thought I was going to be going for.
11:16But I mean, I'll collect any gold that I do find.
11:18But what I'm really after is, uh, after diamonds to make myself a nice diamond sword and a diamond helmet.
11:24Obviously going to make the diamond sword first, because that would be incredibly useful when going up against all of
11:28these mobs.
11:29So yeah, I guess there's no real direction, because as I say, I'm not worried about returning back to my
11:33den anymore.
11:34Like, I have no worries about getting lost or anything.
11:36I'm just going to keep on going and see if I can find any tunnels to get down lower or
11:40anything.
11:42So far, so good.
11:43I've only lost one heart, like, after all of this time.
11:47Like, now I finally, like, have got a load of food and it doesn't matter so much about me getting
11:51hurt.
11:52Now I finally be careful and don't get hit every five seconds like I was in the last video.
11:58If you remember the last video, I kind of got, I got a little bit scared at the end of
12:01the video.
12:01I was trying to find my way back home and I was lost and there were mobs absolutely everywhere.
12:04And like, I was getting chased by one thing and I'd turn a corner and there'd be another thing there.
12:08And I don't want to repeat of that.
12:10I mean, I'm only 21 and I reckon that aged me by about a year.
12:13It's terrifying.
12:15Like, I mean, there's so many horror games that are like specifically made to scare you.
12:20Their reason of making that game is to make you scream, basically.
12:24But what they forget is that there's no real investment in it with Minecraft.
12:28If it's like diamonds, if it's like your house under attack and it's something that you've spent time in.
12:34And you've got invested in.
12:35It's so much scarier because like the thought of you losing it is worse.
12:40Like it's worse than like just the thought of your character dying and then you respawn.

13:41But still, I'm doing alright with my own parameters that I set myself.

13:49I don't think anything can touch me.

14:26And I think you generally find diamonds around lava.
14:30I don't know how high or low you're supposed to be.
14:35You can look online and see what is the probability of you finding everything depending
14:39on how far you are from bedrock and stuff.
14:41I don't know any of that stuff.
14:42But I generally, like when I'm playing normally, seem to find diamonds when I'm close to lava.
14:49And I don't think I've been this way before.
14:51I don't know.
14:52I think it's just a load of gravel here.

14:57It is literally everywhere.
14:59Like, I mean, my original challenge of trying to get a full set of gold armor would have been well

16:24And I want to head down as well, but all of the tunnels seem to be leading up.
