00:00And we are back with Page Six Radio. I'm Denny Murphy.
00:01I'm Evan Riel.
00:02Evan, who are we hanging with?
00:04The one, the only, the iconic, Hilaria Baldwin. Welcome to the show.
00:07Thanks for having me, guys.
00:09Oh my God, we are so excited. You know we're obsessed with you.
00:11Well, I just, well, that makes me feel very happy.
00:14Yes, I mean, because it's funny, we, I've never met you, but you were at one of our Page Six
00:18parties,
00:18and like, you walked in and we're like, Hilaria Baldwin can't be here.
00:21We like, both gay-gassed. We were like, oh my God, that's Hilaria Baldwin.
00:24You looked amazing. We just, you're such a vibe.
00:27Do you know that I told people for years that I was the A in LGBTQIA+, because I thought
00:36it meant ally.
00:37Oh, so there's...
00:38And then, yeah. And then recently, there's a reason I'm on Nation's Dumbest.
00:43Recently, somebody within the past year, because again, I've been saying this for a very long time,
00:48they're like, you're asexual? How do you have so many kids?
00:51And I was like, oh no, I've been doing this.
00:55Wait, I love that you thought it meant ally.
00:58Yes.
00:58Thank you for being an ally.
01:00Yes.
01:00And not asexual.
01:01Right, yeah.
01:02And not asexual, not asexual.
01:03That's so funny.
01:04But I was very proud to be like, I'm the A, I'm part of this community.
01:07I guess you can be alexexual.
01:09There you go.
01:09Yes, there you go.
01:11Exactly.
01:12See, I could have turned that around, okay, I'm going to go back to the people that I told
01:16I was asexual for years and be like, that's what I meant, okay?
01:19But like you were saying, you are on Nation's Dumbest tonight on Fox, which is so, so, so
01:24excited.
01:24How, what can we expect?
01:27Oh my God.
01:28I mean, well, it's interesting because I've seen the first two episodes and which are really
01:33fun.
01:34I didn't know what to expect because first of all, I mean, it's so cool how they put the
01:39sets together and it's bright and the group of people.
01:41We have a group chat that we are like constantly writing on, which I love that when you do a
01:45show
01:46and you really become friends with people, so this was definitely an experience of that.
01:51But it's also interesting for us who were there the entire day, very, very long days,
01:56and your mind hurts.
01:59And it's so cute to like watch it get put together and it's like, oh, this is like much more
02:04breezy
02:05than I remember.
02:05So what I remember was I was like, you know, in between, oh my God, this is fun and I
02:10got
02:10this and like, oh my God, I am the dumbest.
02:12I mean, so this show, it's called Nation's Dumbest.
02:17Did you have any reservations about participating in a show where you're literally admitting
02:22to the world, I guess I'm, I think I'm kind of dumb.
02:25I mean, I think it was like a mixed thing.
02:29So first of all, I love to laugh at myself and I love to like, I just love to be
02:33silly.
02:34I'm a little campy.
02:35And so I think leaning into that, I think I've been somebody that people sometimes will
02:39paint as like any kind of like mom or wife of somebody who's famous, you know what I
02:44mean?
02:44We're supposed to be like a little, maybe Stepford wife, maybe a little bit.
02:48And which is like, if you get to know me, so not me, I let people learn belly button
02:52piercing on me.
02:53I mean, like that's who I am.
02:54I don't think things through.
02:55So I definitely didn't think it through.
02:57Yeah.
02:58Just like I didn't think through seven kids, but I'm happy I did it.
03:03Yeah.
03:03It's been really nice to see you play in the world of reality TV because we have gotten
03:06to know your personality a little bit better.
03:10But what do you think are some of the lingering misconceptions about who Hilaria Baldwin is?
03:16I mean, look, 27 year old yoga instructor marrying like Alec Baldwin, who was like a rich
03:21and famous, like older man.
03:23Yeah.
03:24Kind of gold digger vibes, right?
03:26Okay.
03:26Yeah.
03:26And did that hurt initially?
03:28Yes.
03:28Because like, I'm not that way.
03:30He, from the beginning, I don't think I've ever said this, but like he would always try
03:33to buy me things and I would be like, no, I don't want this.
03:37So I was living in a small apartment and I mean, any New Yorker knows that the temperature
03:42inside of an apartment is a little complicated, right?
03:46Like sometimes in December you need to open up the window because the furnace is too much.
03:52The radiator, whatever, that thing, the heating thing that don't touch because you will
03:55get burned.
03:56It's too hot.
03:57And so what I would do, or then it all of a sudden gets really cold.
04:01And so I actually had a computer that didn't work very well, a laptop, and I would use it
04:04to heat my hands at night.
04:06So I'd lay, I'd literally lay in one position.
04:09I'd have one palm up and one palm down and I would use it to be on my hands because
04:13I was
04:13so cold.
04:14And he was like, and it didn't really work as like a great computer because probably,
04:18I don't know.
04:18Because it was overheating too.
04:19Because it was overheating.
04:20It was like, it was hot.
04:22I love this.
04:22This is my heater.
04:24That's where, again, this is why I'm on the show.
04:26But like, and I was like, I don't want you to buy me something because I want to know
04:32that I like you for you.
04:35Wow.
04:35Because I don't want to be prisoner either.
04:37Like, hello, it's two ways.
04:39Like people who go into that, they get stuck in a really bad situation.
04:43And I was like, I need to know that I want to be here.
04:47It's also because they get stuck and also they get used to it.
04:50So if it's a lifestyle that they like, but they don't like the person, they're like,
04:53well, what else can I do?
04:54So I like that you waited until you're like, okay, I actually love you and I want to get
04:58to know you more.
04:59Yeah, exactly.
05:00And we, I mean, our relationship went really fast, but you know, so I just came back.
05:05From visiting my family in Mallorca, my parents, my brother, my nephew, they're all there.
05:11And my, it was the first time I traveled alone with my kids.
05:15All of them?
05:15And seven kids.
05:16No Alec, no friend, no nanny, no nothing.
05:21Nada.
05:21Just me.
05:22How are you standing?
05:23I was, I turned into a monster sometimes.
05:25Like, I like pride myself in being like very like peaceful and like lovely.
05:29Like I might, like I became a demon sometimes.
05:31I don't blame you.
05:32Well, because we're there and my kids who are like little Baldwins, like don't know
05:37simple things that I never, like never occurred to me.
05:39Like how to load a dishwasher.
05:41Now granted they're young, but like I knew how to do that.
05:42Right.
05:43Right.
05:43And like clean a floor, don't make a big mess when you're eating, all this stuff that
05:49like I'm not used to having to do for them.
05:51So that goes back into like, I had to bring them back to my roots where I met Alec of
05:57being like, hey, you know what?
05:58You need to learn how to do things on your own so you don't get stuck in something.
06:01Now it's not their fault.
06:02They don't have a choice.
06:03This is how they've been raised.
06:04Yeah.
06:04So now we're like in a, like a process of like going back to that and they know not
06:08to put all the cups right side up in a dishwasher.
06:11Oh, they're making progress.
06:13Slowly and surely.
06:14What I'm kind of wondering, because I do, I commend you so much because I was thinking
06:17in my head, I was like, could I turn down gifts and that'd be very hard for me?
06:21What was the first gift that you were like, okay, I actually do like you and shit, this
06:24one's really nice.
06:25I'm going to say yes to it.
06:26It was a computer.
06:28That actually worked.
06:30That didn't overheat?
06:30That didn't overheat, but I just didn't let him buy it then.
06:33Oh, okay.
06:34I do love that.
06:34That's really sweet.
06:35I love that.
06:36And now you're, you've been together for so long to what do you attribute the longevity
06:40of your marriage, especially with seven kids being in the spotlight?
06:44I mean, you, you really have weathered quite a lot together.
06:47Yes.
06:47I mean, I think that that is like the test of being like, guys, are you still going to
06:55call me a gold digger?
06:56Like really?
06:57I mean, first of all, seven kids, like not what gold diggers should do.
07:00Have one then get out.
07:02I love your gold digger.
07:04That's like, like one, get out.
07:05Don't have seven because they're very expensive.
07:07Right.
07:07Okay.
07:07So, but I, I think that the most important thing is that both people have to want to
07:13be there because life should be long and very beautiful and wonderful and exciting and like
07:18all these things.
07:19But at the same time, bad things happen in everybody's life.
07:24And people have seen it very publicly with our life, but you're going to have to want to
07:28be there even when you don't like the person, even when you're mad at them, even when the
07:35world is very loud and they're trying to make you not like the person.
07:38Yeah.
07:38So I feel like that, that's our, I wonder too, because people, there is like this, um, theory
07:43about relationships that I always wonder, and I do like it, but I'm curious your thoughts
07:47where they're like, relationships can't always be 50, 50.
07:50Sometimes someone's like, I can give you 20% today.
07:52You have to give me 80.
07:54Do you feel you're nodding?
07:55Do you feel that kind of, as you tell each other how much you can show up for one another?
07:58I think it's more that we're good at balance.
08:02We're very yin and yang.
08:03If I'm freaking out about something, he's surprisingly Alec Baldwin calm.
08:08Like, what does that even look like?
08:10You probably can't even imagine it.
08:12Okay.
08:12But he's really good at it.
08:14And then if he's freaking out, I'm like, are you okay?
08:17Yeah.
08:17Are you stoned down right now?
08:19Yeah.
08:19So it's interesting.
08:20We're good.
08:20Like, yeah, we're good at balancing.
08:22We're good at balancing each other.
08:23We take turns.
08:24I like that.
08:25That's good.
08:26We do the turning thing.
08:26Yeah.
08:27And what does Alec think of this fun new reality TV career that you are establishing?
08:31I mean, you did Dancing with the Stars.
08:33You did the family reality show.
08:34Now you're doing Nation's Dumbest, which it seems like you're having a lot of fun in this
08:38space.
08:39Yeah.
08:39Does he love seeing you have that fun kind of like, because I know he participated in the
08:43family reality show, but maybe it wasn't his favorite process.
08:46No, he loved it.
08:46Are you kidding me?
08:47Really?
08:47What?
08:47Okay.
08:48Wait, tell us more because I was under the impression Alec didn't like it.
08:52No, because Alec is like, he's interesting.
08:54So first of all, I think looking at him, let's like go back to when I met him like 15
09:00plus
09:00years ago.
09:01Okay.
09:02Twitter.
09:04Always out.
09:05Always.
09:06Alec is an actor.
09:07Actors love attention.
09:08Even when they're like, no cameras.
09:10No.
09:11Like, please.
09:13Yeah.
09:14So obviously he is, I believe, and again, I'm biased, but like one of the best actors
09:19I think that ever existed.
09:20Like he has versatility.
09:22He can do comedy.
09:23He can do, he's just like amazing.
09:27But he also loves to connect directly with the people.
09:30And I wasn't so much on social media when I actually like, I think like not at all, when
09:35I first met him and definitely not actively.
09:37And he was like, it's really good because you get to directly connect with people.
09:41And so he loves that.
09:42He loves that connection.
09:43Now, sometimes it's overwhelming for him.
09:45Right.
09:46Sometimes it's too much on his nervous system, but ultimately he goes back and wants it.
09:50And that's one of the beautiful things about reality TV.
09:52Yeah.
09:52And he's always been, you know, we all have our faults, but one of the most amazing things
09:57about him is he's always very supportive of me and likes me to play and be out there.
10:02And so, no, it's, he's, he's all into it.
10:05And he loved doing the family reality show.
10:08He just, he's like, likes to complain.
10:09He's a curmudgeon.
10:10But that's also what makes the reality show fun and everything.
10:13And also you guys doing, I do kind of love when you guys do press together because how
10:17often do people say to you when I'm talking, you're not talking?
10:19So can I tell you about his story?
10:21So first of all, I want to, I'm going to, I'm going to like, this is my ADH.
10:25Which I've like bad ADHD, so I could go on a tangent, but I'm like, put a pin in it.
10:29So he has his learning.
10:30This is my therapy.
10:31I'm going to come to, that was like really messed up on all the girls who didn't have
10:35my back during that.
10:36Cause that was a feminist moment.
10:37Okay.
10:37So we're going to get to that.
10:38So now I'm going to start.
10:39I was in, Alec was doing a movie in Italy last year and I was like barely on my phone.
10:46I didn't have TikTok at the time, like whatever.
10:48And he's just laughing and he's like, it lays late in the night.
10:50He's like, the world is mad at you right now.
10:52And I was like, what, what could I possibly do?
10:56I'm here.
10:57I'm taking care of kids.
10:59Like what, what can I possibly do?
11:01And he's like, you told me not to interrupt you.
11:03And I was like, you literally, if you spend time with us, he interrupts me all the time.
11:09And it gets to be frustrating.
11:11So first of all, if I'm actually mad at you, which I wasn't mad at, I was like, oh, she's
11:15so mean to him.
11:16I'm like, just never going to speak to you.
11:17Like I do silent treatment.
11:19I'm like, I'd like to let him talk and I'd be like, and then he'll know.
11:24The silent treatment is the worst.
11:25That is the worst.
11:25Okay.
11:26So when I say to him, when I'm talking, you're not talking.
11:27That's supposed to be funny.
11:28What we do in my house, like when I'm walking here, you're not walking.
11:31I mean, like so many people in our house, you can use it.
11:33That's true.
11:34No, it's like when I'm doing this, you're not doing that.
11:36It's so funny.
11:37When I'm opening the refrigerator to get a drink, you are not thirsty.
11:41Okay.
11:42This is my turn right now.
11:43I like that.
11:44Yeah.
11:44So we, it's like a, it's like a thing.
11:45But anyway, they like cut it in a particular way.
11:48He had interrupted me so many times and I was trying to be focused, which is difficult
11:54for me.
11:54Yeah.
11:55And then he was like, boy, George, like boy, George.
11:57I was like this, that was my moment.
11:58I was like, stop with the boy George.
12:01We are focusing and when I'm talking, you're not talking.
12:03So there you go.
12:04So yeah, people do, but then like what I was upset about is I was like, I wanted that
12:07to be like a moment of like, I'm speaking.
12:10Oh yeah.
12:11And people didn't do that.
12:13They wanted to be like, yeah, she's like, see, we knew she was a monster.
12:16And I'm going to be like, girls, what are we like?
12:19Should he, because he's like this like famous guy and I'm a woman and I'm younger.
12:24I should be like, oh, he wants to speak.
12:25Okay.
12:25No, not my personality.
12:26I will say the gays ate that shit up.
12:27Yeah.
12:28And it feels so good to say it.
12:29That's why I'm an A.
12:30Right.
12:31Exactly.
12:31That's why I'm an A.
12:32When I'm talking, you're not talking.
12:33It just, it rolls off the tongue so nicely.
12:36My gay friends say, I am a straight man stuck in a, sorry, nope, that way I said it wrong.
12:40Oh, this is why I got in trouble.
12:41I am a gay man stuck in a straight woman's body, which I do think it's like literally
12:46my spirit.
12:47Wait, speaking of body, it's just body, yaddy, yaddy.
12:50Like you look so good.
12:51That is the T.
12:52Your body is T.
12:53My mom has been watching Nation's Dumbest and she is just mesmerized by how amazing
12:58you look.
12:59What, what are your secrets to, I mean, you look like you're the most fit you've ever,
13:02you've always been fit, but like, Hilaria, it's just, it's kind of insane.
13:04Well, I haven't been pregnant in quite a while.
13:08There you go.
13:08That's so, I feel like that's like number one.
13:11It was like, I'm not pregnant.
13:12Like I was pregnant and we're breastfeeding for like over a decade, like nonstop.
13:18And I, I feel like it's a mix and it's always like a weird conversation to have because we
13:23have so much emotion regarding how we eat and how we exercise and what are beauty standards.
13:30I think that you can have intentions, but if you don't show up, it's not going to happen.
13:37I like consistency.
13:38It's good for my mind.
13:39I even teach my kids, exercise is like brushing your teeth.
13:41Do it every day.
13:43Two times a day for brushing teeth, exercise at least.
13:45But like more three, if you like want to do after a little after lunch brush.
13:49But like, I think it just needs to be part of your daily thing.
13:54And I, then you don't have to do that much of it.
13:57Like I went running this morning, I went running for 30 minutes.
13:5930 minutes is like, it's 30 minutes.
14:02Now, if you don't run and trust me, like during pregnancy and then I give birth and then I heal,
14:07I had to get back in shape again.
14:09And I agree with you guys.
14:10It sucks.
14:10It feels like you're suffocating because we are thinking more about our muscles and not so much on our breathing.
14:16So I think just exercise, move your body every day.
14:20Every once in a while you can take a day off.
14:21But just like, that's just should be like daily maintenance.
14:23And then eat when you're hungry.
14:25Yeah, like intuitive eating.
14:27Like, yeah, exactly.
14:28I had a really bad eating disorder for 20 years and I really struggled with it.
14:31And I realized that I just didn't know when I was hungry and when I was full.
14:34And I did all of it.
14:36I did anorexia.
14:37I did bulimia.
14:37I did overeating.
14:38I did undereating.
14:39I did all of it.
14:41And I found that as soon as I could like tap into when am I hungry, when am I full,
14:47what
14:48are good things to eat and then not be afraid of things.
14:50Like two nights ago, I can't wait to post this video.
14:52My youngest and I opened up two pints of Haagen-Dazs.
14:56One was sweet vanilla almond, which I never had before.
14:59It's so good.
14:59Oh, it's one of my favorite flavors.
15:02It's the best.
15:03And then the other one was Oreo cookie.
15:06Now that's mine.
15:07Did you mix them?
15:08Well, we had like two spoons.
15:09Like people should not dip into these ones if you're afraid of germs because they had
15:14both our germs all over.
15:15But like then you can do, and it was like 9 p.m.
15:17Like, so not being afraid of things, but again, like eating an amount that feels like your body
15:22can manage it.
15:23I love that you have gotten to a place where you feel confident and comfortable, not just
15:27with your body, but with food noise and everything.
15:29How, because of course you were saying you were pregnant for so many, so much time in
15:34a row.
15:35When you were now at a period of time not being pregnant, did you feel like you had to like
15:38relearn your body or the conversation with your body?
15:41You mean in terms of what?
15:43Like of being able to, because like for so, I mean, I just am assuming like when you're
15:47pregnant, you're like, okay, I'm carrying life.
15:49I'm doing this.
15:49And you're not really, I feel like you're probably thinking about your body, but thinking
15:51about being pregnant.
15:52But then now that you're no longer pregnant, do you feel you were like, okay, let me just to
15:57make sure those noises stayed away.
15:59The, the, like the, am I fat?
16:01Am I this?
16:01Yeah.
16:02You know, I did a lot of the work before.
16:05I, I really, really, I got one of the best things about having ADHD is we get very hyper
16:10focused on certain things and, um, we can be bad too, but I, one of the good things that
16:15it did is I think it gave me hyper focus on trying, like, I need to solve this.
16:18Like, I don't want to live this way.
16:19I'm miserable.
16:19I can't have a good relationships.
16:20I can't have good friendships.
16:22I can't eat to, out to dinner with people.
16:24Like, it's just like so, so, so stressful.
16:26I'm afraid of how many calories might be in toothpaste, like just insanity.
16:29Yeah.
16:30And so I, um, I think I really, and I also wanted to make sure that I healed that before
16:35I had kids because I didn't want to pass my.
16:38The habits.
16:39Yes.
16:40Down.
16:40Um, almost said a bad word.
16:42Probably can't do that here.
16:43So again, I'm going to let my shit down to it.
16:45I didn't want to pass my shit down to it.
16:46So I just want, I really feel that it was, and then it was interesting because growing,
16:52one of my best friends had a baby three weeks before me and all of a sudden, like I saw
16:57her right afterwards and I looked like a whale.
16:59I looked like Jabba the Hutt and she's like, and she's like gorgeous with like holding this
17:04baby.
17:04I'm like, what, what, what happened to you?
17:07So like what, and I was so, and she's like, you watch, it's going to happen to you too.
17:11And like, not right away, but like little by little, you're like, it's like, you're
17:15like a little shrinky dink.
17:16Oh my God.
17:20Did you, was, were those habits, did you hide them from your loved ones?
17:24The eating disorder?
17:26When I was younger.
17:27Yeah.
17:27I mean, I started dieting when I was five.
17:29Wow.
17:29When you were five, that is wild.
17:31I mean, isn't it?
17:32And also it's just getting worse.
17:34What kids learn now, you know what I mean?
17:36Yeah.
17:36Cause if you learn that at five, now there's TikTok and everything where kids can see,
17:39it's really hard.
17:40Cause we, we were young dieters too.
17:42Oh yeah.
17:42Really?
17:43Yeah.
17:43We've had weight fluctuations.
17:44And I often think about like, if Ozempic had been around when I was, you know, my heaviest,
17:50when I was like in sixth grade, would I have like somehow finagled my way to getting Ozempic
17:54at 12 years old?
17:55I feel like my willpower would have done it somehow.
17:57You know what I mean?
17:58But now we have like these peptides and Ozempic and Luxmaxing and all these things that like,
18:03how, what's the conversation with your kids around body image and stuff?
18:06Cause they're probably seeing a lot of stuff on TikTok.
18:08Yeah.
18:08I mean, obviously I think that some of it is going to be their experience and no matter
18:14how much I try to bubble wrap them, it's going to get through.
18:18So I think just having the conversations about it and not making it mystical.
18:23Like I feel like when I was younger and struggling more, I'd be like, how do these people do
18:29it?
18:29And you see in magazines, what you eat in a day and like, oh, this is the South Beach
18:33diets and Atkins.
18:36Yes.
18:36All this stuff.
18:37And I was like, baby, this is what it has to be.
18:39Also, I look back and I was like, I looked fine.
18:41Yes.
18:41Oh my God.
18:42It's like, I was like, yeah, but I thought I was like a whale.
18:44Um, but I just thought there was something broken inside of me.
18:48And so what I try to do with my kids is empower them.
18:52Talk about strength.
18:53Talk about how does the food make you feel?
18:55And then also not, don't be like, oh my God, no, you can't have Cheetos.
18:58Like I don't love that my kids eat Cheetos sometimes, but they really want to.
19:03And so if we don't shame it and it's not a regular thing, then there you go.
19:09You know what I mean?
19:10It's like balance.
19:11If they were like, if you were like Cheetos are this bad secret thing, they're like, I
19:14want it because it's like, it's like, I can't have it.
19:16So I want it.
19:17Right.
19:17So they have like feed yourself with mostly good things.
19:21Open up a pint of ice cream sometimes and take out a spoon.
19:25But like be aware of your body.
19:28Like we can all relate to like Thanksgiving and like people feel pretty sick on Thanksgiving.
19:32Like don't have that be a regular thing.
19:34Right.
19:35Yeah.
19:35Not every day is Thanksgiving.
19:36I know one of my new latest hacks.
19:37I made everybody try it and everybody liked it.
19:39I am mixing peanut butter stuffed pretzels with gummy bears.
19:42I have some if you want.
19:43It's like a PB and J in your mouth.
19:45I love that.
19:45I never thought.
19:46You know what I love?
19:46I love Sour Patch Kids.
19:48Those are my.
19:49They're so good.
19:50And I know very controversial.
19:51The yellow ones.
19:52Oh, the yellow ones aren't bad.
19:54They have the extra.
19:55They're my favorite.
19:55Yes, exactly.
19:56I love all things lemon and they are the extra sour, at least in my head because of lemon.
20:00And so, but it's really so great because like nobody fights me for them.
20:03Yeah.
20:04Yeah.
20:04Yeah.
20:04Yeah.
20:04That is so, so true.
20:06Yeah.
20:06Sour Patch Kids.
20:07Oh, they're so good.
20:07They hit so well.
20:08I'm kind of curious because you're a girl all around New York City.
20:11Do you know any of the new Roni girls like Daisy, like Martha Stewart's makeup artist or?
20:15I don't know the newer ones.
20:17Okay.
20:17I know the OGs.
20:20Ooh.
20:20Okay.
20:21I know the Ramonas.
20:23Uh-huh.
20:23I love, I know it's not New York, but Margaret Joseph.
20:27Oh, we love Margaret.
20:28Oh, we love Margaret.
20:28We love Joseph.
20:28Oh, because didn't you film?
20:29Yes, we just filmed.
20:30On Amazon.
20:31Yep.
20:31Yes.
20:32Oh, I forgot.
20:32You did that show too.
20:33Girl, you're doing everything.
20:35It's been a busy year.
20:35Wait, so that's Reality Retreat and you went to Costa Rica.
20:39No, I would love to go to Costa Rica.
20:40No, I went to Dominican Republic, which is also nice.
20:43Yeah, really nice.
20:43And you went with a bunch of women in the reality TV space.
20:45Margaret Josephs, the Chrisleys were there.
20:47Yes.
20:47Caitlin Bristow.
20:49Yes, yes.
20:49Kim Zolciak.
20:50Kim Zolciak.
20:51Kenya Moore.
20:52Who'd you have fun with?
20:53Everybody.
20:54Well, so I didn't know anyone except for Marge.
20:57Oh, wow.
20:57Okay.
20:57Aw.
20:58I knew nobody because I have seven kids and I'm tired and I go to sleep at night.
21:02So I was, it was, I was an interesting, I believe, and we'll see how it was like an interesting
21:07character there because it was almost like it was like fly on the wall.
21:09And like, I also didn't know what people were doing.
21:11I was like, what is going on here?
21:14But it was a really great, empowering experience.
21:18Also have a group chat there that we're constantly writing on.
21:21Oh, oh my God.
21:21I love that you're in all these reality TV group chats.
21:25Nation's Dumbest, Reality Retreat.
21:26Is there a Dancing with the Stars group chat?
21:28There is not.
21:29Although Gleb and I are still very close.
21:31Okay, that's good.
21:31So we like talk all the time.
21:32What did you make of all the craziness and drama around his relationship with Brooke Snader?
21:37I don't know.
21:38I mean, you know what?
21:39I feel like I wasn't there for it.
21:42Gleb is one of my favorite people.
21:44Yeah.
21:44So handsome.
21:45And so, so handsome.
21:46So like nice, except when he was mad at me.
21:49But then like, but I also come from the ballroom world.
21:52So like I could understand it a little bit.
21:54Right.
21:54Um, but no, I mean, look, it was, it was one of those things where I was like, like with
22:00like relationships can be tough and I'm here to dance and I would feel very lucky that
22:06I got to dance again with somebody who's as good as he is.
22:09That's true.
22:10Because he really is one of, I don't know if people appreciate this, like him and Val
22:15are some of the best dancers that have ever existed in ballroom.
22:19Yeah.
22:19And so for me to have that experience, like I feel very lucky that I got to, I got to
22:23dance with him.
22:23Well, he was also very lucky that he got to dance with someone who had experience because
22:26I can only imagine that teaching someone how to ballroom must be so, so tough.
22:31And I also, I just want to say, first of all, just as for Hilaria Baldwin on Dancing with
22:35the Stars, I think you should have lasted longer.
22:36But also I just want to, I don't know, whenever people are so upset with the stars on the show
22:41for having previous dance experience, they're like, they don't belong here.
22:45They like, they already know how to dance.
22:46It's like, it's called Dancing with the Stars.
22:48These people are celebrities.
22:49Chances are they've taken a tap jazz or ballet class, you know, in their pursuit of being
22:53famous.
22:54Yeah.
22:54I mean, look, it was, it wasn't also, that was actually my, I think on the, the Baldwin's
22:59Alec has been saying for years, I want you dancing with the stars.
23:02And I was like, I don't want to do it because I don't want to be the villain.
23:05And then actually they reach out to me and love Dina Katz.
23:11I love Dina so much.
23:12Oh my gosh.
23:12She's like the best, the best, the best.
23:14But they reached out to me and I was a little worried.
23:17And I was like, look, I have dance experience.
23:20And I guess there were like, they, they had found these like things where I'd beaten some
23:25of the pros when we were younger.
23:27Oh shit.
23:28But like, but, but we're like 20.
23:30Okay.
23:31And then I went and stopped dancing, broke my hip, had seven kids, right?
23:36Like in my forties, like some things are not the same.
23:40Time has passed.
23:41Time has passed.
23:42Things have happened.
23:43So I feel like it was a fine thing.
23:45And also it really isn't about being necessarily the best dancer on there.
23:50It's about your journey.
23:51It's about leaning into the beauty of watching Andy Richter, who like was just so joyful to
23:57watch.
23:58And so like, who's to say this is what is valid to make it to the final.
24:01And this is not like Dylan improved so much.
24:04I remember going back for the final and being like, you're good.
24:08Like, look at this.
24:09So it was like fun to watch everybody, you know, Danielle with her, her health journey on
24:14it.
24:14I mean, there was just so many interesting, interesting stories.
24:18And I think that that's what makes that show very special.
24:20And I love to, you got to do a little dancing with your nation's dumbest co-star Jojo Siwa
24:24we saw on social.
24:25How was, I love that.
24:26That was so fun.
24:27Jojo's amazing.
24:28Jojo is amazing.
24:29I just think she's so wise and she's so young.
24:33And, you know, these hard experiences of, you know, being a little beaten up or a lot of
24:39beaten up that I think both of us have had, you can, I don't know if I would have been
24:45so wise and resilient when I was that young.
24:48Um, I don't know if I'm so wise and resilient at my age as she is.
24:51She does seem very wise.
24:52She's very, she's very wise.
24:53She knows herself and she's so well-spoken.
24:56Um, and yeah, it was fun.
24:58It's fun to dance with her.
24:59Oh, I love.
25:00Now you were saying that a lot of the shows you go on, you sometimes like you either don't
25:04know the people or you get very excited to see them.
25:06For nation's dumbest, did anybody really surprise you that you were excited to meet?
25:09Carmen Electra.
25:10Oh, iconic.
25:11Iconic.
25:12Had you known her prior?
25:14I did not.
25:15Okay.
25:15I did not.
25:16This was a really like exciting moment.
25:18I knew Ice-T prior and he also like, very iconic as well.
25:23Oh, he's so great.
25:23Um, but yeah, no, it was like, she was so, she's so cool and so funny.
25:28Yeah.
25:28And so self-aware too.
25:30Right.
25:30So like, I really, I really, but everybody was amazing.
25:33Like I said, we became this, like this family, even though we are all extraordinarily different.
25:39Yeah.
25:40Now, I mean, it is, it is called nation's dumbest, but I'm sort of wondering if Alaria
25:43was teaching a class on something, what, what do you think that you're like, I am the expert
25:47at this and everyone should learn from me?
25:50Is there something?
25:52Having babies.
25:53Oh, so true.
25:55I don't know if you're going to say yoga, but having babies also.
25:58Having babies.
25:58I mean, I can do some yoga.
25:59I can teach them yoga.
26:00You are a baby pro.
26:01I am a baby pro.
26:02I'm good at having babies.
26:03I've done it multiple times.
26:05If there are any pregnant listeners right now, what is the best piece of advice you could
26:09give them as they prepare to give birth?
26:12You are the CEO.
26:15It's so noisy once you become a mom and everybody has the opinion, put the hat on, take the hat
26:23off.
26:24Some, some woman wrote to me, she, they're like, your hair always looks so nice.
26:28Your two youngest daughters always have the hair in the face.
26:30I really think you need to start pinning it back and doing hairstyles.
26:33I'm like, you know what?
26:34Why don't you come over and you do it and they're going to scratch you because this is
26:39what they want their hair to be right now.
26:41They won't always want their hair to be, but it's like the opinions.
26:44So like lean into, this is your opportunity to, to like raise another person and yeah,
26:52take other, I believe in like listening.
26:54I love learning from other people.
26:56Take the opinions into account.
26:57But then at the end of the day, what do I want from my family?
27:00And just empower yourself a bit.
27:01I love that.
27:02When I'm pregnant, you're not talking.
27:04When I'm pregnant, you are definitely not talking.
27:07Oh, I love that.
27:09I love that.
27:09Also, I love following you on Instagram because like I mentioned, it's giving body, yaddy,
27:13yaddy.
27:13I feel like you're posting some, I would call them thirst traps.
27:16And I say that with love because I'm someone who also participates in thirst trap culture.
27:20I send my thirst traps to my husband before I post just because I, I think I want him
27:25to like stroke my ego and tell me how cute I am.
27:27Do you send your thirst traps to Alec before you post or he gets to see them with everyone
27:30else?
27:30He gets to see them with everyone else.
27:32Wow, I love that.
27:33But I also just like randomly do this in my life.
27:36Like all I'm doing is putting up a, like, I don't plan it.
27:39I'm just going to like, okay, I'm going to do this.
27:40I'm just like, I was like, look up.
27:42No.
27:42Well, in my typical life, I don't wear a lot of makeup.
27:44Yeah.
27:45I did today for you guys.
27:46It looks great.
27:47We appreciate it.
27:47Thank you for putting on makeup for us.
27:49Wait, really?
27:49I did, yeah.
27:50Okay, Ms. Glam.
27:51Well, I, my, it was so funny.
27:53I have a woman who helped me out yesterday when I was going around doing this.
27:56She's like, well, let me know what time you're doing Glam.
27:58This is on Sunday.
27:59And I was like, I forgot to put Glam, which is like, fine.
28:03Well, you're probably a girl who doesn't need makeup, which is so nice.
28:06What a gift.
28:06Or I've just done it enough times that it's like, fine.
28:08Plus, like how many bad photos and videos have you guys seen of me?
28:11It's like, we all know what it'll look like anyway.
28:13Like, let's just not try to like pretend that we don't know what I look like when I'm crying.
28:18Oh my gosh, that is so funny.
28:20Everyone knows who you are.
28:21Everyone knows what you look like.
28:22And we all love you.
28:22And that is why everybody is going to be watching you on Nation's Dumbest tonight on Fox at 9 p
28:27.m.
28:28All right, thank you so much for chatting with us.
28:30This was so much fun.
28:32This was such a nice way to begin the day.
28:34Same.
28:35Can I be the A again?
28:37Yes.
28:37Oh my God, you're our A forever.
28:38Forever our A, yes.
28:40We are going to take a quick break and be back with more Page Six Radio.
28:42Don't go anywhere.
28:43Bye.
