00:00We live in a world that is louder, that is faster than ever. You've seen the world pre-social media
00:06and you're in the middle of it right now. How does one attempt to stay grounded with so many
00:11distractions everywhere we look? I think what's very important is to recognize that not everyone
00:17has the same upbringing. Not everyone comes from the same background. They haven't had access to
00:23the same things. So you have people from different backgrounds. I think those who have families,
00:29those who have parents who are well-grounded already have a head start because that plays a
00:35big role. Family plays a huge role in keeping a person grounded, helping them in an age that is
00:41changing so much. Similarly, a group of good friends who are around you would keep you really, really
00:48focused on the right things. In Islam, we usually say focus on your friends because if you have a
00:54good set of friends, you will always be guided in the right direction. So some of the people who
00:59haven't, for example, had a family or good friendships and so on, they would have to work a little bit
01:06harder. I think frequenting the places of worship, in our case, the masjid or, you know, those who pray
01:15would actually help you remain grounded as well because there is so much of change that if I could
01:20say, Brother Mo, if you watch social media, every few years, there is a huge change, even in approach,
01:27even in what we use on social media, the style, the way we speak. Someone like me, what I might
01:33have
01:33said maybe 10 years ago, perhaps the same thing can be said in a better way because it's no longer
01:38palatable to the people out there. It becomes an irrelevant message only because of the way it was
01:43communicated. So it's really something worth looking into. And I believe that if you have a good circle
01:49around you, it will always keep you focused. So try to invest in having the best circle possible around you.
