02:17Woo. It's not about that, guys. It's about the growth, the belief, and the sport of professional wrestling.
02:27Woo. These guys work as hard at it as anybody I've ever been associated with.
02:32Woo. I'm honored that it's a moment in history because this is my first night as the ambassador of this

02:42And talking about great company, let's talk about their great Ring of Honor champion, my friend, and a guy I've
02:50wrestled at least five times over the years,
02:52Jerry Lynn, Ring of Honor, World Champion.
02:59Jerry Lynn, who began his career in 1988.
03:03And so many times in sports, we see a franchise that works so hard, gets so close, but doesn't get
03:10it.
03:11Jerry Lynn has it. He has the belt. He is the champion.
03:16It was just a few weeks ago in Houston, Texas, that Jerry Lynn defeated Nigel McGuinness to become ROH World
03:22Champion.
03:23Woo. You, my friend, and I'm honored to say this because, ladies and gentlemen, I have been in the ring
03:32with him.
03:33This guy is more than World Championship caliber.
03:37He's a world champion right now.
03:39Jerry, I'm honored to be with you. Congratulations.

03:44It's a big job.
03:47And you know that to be the man, you've got to beat the man.

04:01Well, first of all, I want to thank Kerry Silken for allowing me this opportunity to come to Ring of

04:08And show everyone that I've still got what it takes and actually rejuvenating my career.
04:17And I owe you a thanks.
04:20I know you've had thousands of matches, but back in 1995, the first time you and I stepped foot in
04:28the ring.
04:29The fans don't know this, but you were in a major car wreck a few days before the show.
04:36And you still showed up and gutted it out through the pain and taught me a very valuable lesson that
04:44night.
04:45Like you said, to be the man, you've really got to beat the man.
04:49And you showed me, you taught me about honor, pride, and passion.
04:57And after adopting those principles into my career and my life, I came here to Ring of Honor.

05:03I beat the man.
05:06It wasn't easy.
05:07I'll tell you what's even harder now is to stay the man.
05:11And after 20 years of working so hard, I've got to work twice as hard to keep this title.
