00:00Today, you may have seen the news that Mike Lombardi has now been placed on paid administrative leave by the
00:06university following an HR complaint filed by a former member of Carolina Football's front office.
00:13And so there is an investigation into that HR issue that is proceeding as we speak.
00:19But what I am also reporting, in addition to that, is that the College Sports Commission, which is the entity
00:26that is tasked with enforcing the rules around the NCAA and NIL, the CSC is now investigating North Carolina football
00:37in addition to the Lombardi HR matter.
00:41That, of course, my guy Pablo Torre of the Pulitzer Prize winning Pablo Torre finds out reporting that in addition
00:49to Bill Belichick's right hand man, the UNC football GM, Mike Lombardi, being placed on administrative leave after an HR
00:55complaint, the school is also under investigation by the College Sports Commission, the CSC.
01:03That's the entity that handles compliance and the enforcement of NCAA and NIL rules.
01:08This is the second investigation under the Belichick regime, which began just over a year ago.
01:17Yikes.
01:18Not great on Mike Lombardi.
01:20A lot of people are not surprised.
01:24The Carolina football team went 4-8 last year.
01:27And if you watch them play, you wonder how the hell they even win 4.
01:30And I'll raise my hand.
01:32I was wrong.
01:33I thought Belichick would step in and the team would respond and his X's and O's are better than everyone
01:39else.
01:40And this was an unwatchable, unmitigated disaster.
01:43A Carolina football team that had zero guys drafted in the draft.
01:47Zero.
01:48Nobody got drafted from North Carolina football.
01:50And I'm of the opinion that Belichick is the greatest coach in the history of the NFL.
01:54Look, you could argue Vince Lombardi and Andy Reid and Don Shula and anyone else.
01:58To me, it's Belichick, even with the disaster that was Belichick post-Tom Brady with the New England Patriots.
02:04And, you know, seemingly everyone knew that Tom Brady was leaving, except for Bill Belichick.
02:08You had no plan.
02:09We've been through that.
02:11Everything since Tom Brady left for Tampa Bay has been a disaster.
02:17And, you know, we could talk about his 20-year-old girlfriend.
02:20We could talk about how she's, Jordan Hudson, been running the show.
02:24We could talk about what happened with the interview on 60 Minutes.
02:28I mean, there are missteps nonstop.
02:31The Lombardi situation is dreadful.
02:34It's a mess.
02:36Mack Brown would have done a much better job at North Carolina.
02:39What a sad, sack, embarrassing ending to the greatest career we've ever seen in the history of the National Football
02:47League from a head coach.
02:48I hate that it's ending this way for Belichick.
02:52And if you're a proud alum or fan of North Carolina football, it's got to really make you sick.
