Imee Marcos, other minority bloc senators won't attend SONA

Sen. Imee Marcos says she and other members of the Senate minority bloc will not attend the fifth State of the Nation Address (SONA) of her brother, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., on July 27, 2026. Speaking to reporters, the senator said she was disheartened over what she described as the treatment of her colleagues in the minority bloc. She said that Senators Alan Peter Cayetano, Robin Padilla and Loren Legarda also would not attend this year's SONA.
