00:00Well, the storyline this week clearly has been LeBron James going to Philadelphia.
00:05And I can't wait to see what happens in the NBA this year.
00:09LeBron made the decision to join the 76ers at 1 a.m. in the morning
00:13per Rich Paul from Clutch Sports.
00:17Came down between Cleveland, Miami, and Philadelphia.
00:21And like JY, who predicted it three weeks ago,
00:25it turned out to be the city of brotherly love.
00:28I will tell you one thing, having worked there for the last six years
00:31in covering the Eagles and covering sports there in Philadelphia,
00:35this is going to be either statue building or this is going to be tearing down.
00:42There is no gray area with that fan base.
00:45They revere you or they revile you.
00:49And if you do not produce, you do not show up,
00:52they will turn on you faster than a New York minute.
00:56I will tell you flat out, that's how that fan base acts.
01:00And rightfully so.
01:02I think they hold you accountable.
01:04The Philadelphia fan base is one of my favorite fan bases I've ever talked to sports.
01:09I got to tell you, I enjoy it very much because they're not going to sit around
01:13and there's no gray area.
01:16Look, you've got Nick Sirianni that is on the hot seat.
01:20You've got Jalen Hurts.
01:22People are saying this.
01:24If Jalen Hurts doesn't perform this year,
01:26the Philadelphia Eagles are going to move off of a quarterback who's 50 and 18,
01:32won two NFC championships, a Super Bowl MVP.
01:36And they're saying this.
01:38If he doesn't deliver and he doesn't evolve with this new offense that they're implementing
01:42with Sean Mannion, they're going to go in a different direction.
01:46The same thing with the head football coach.
01:49If you look at any of the list of any of the prognosticators,
01:53I'm talking about the upcoming season.
01:55The one name that shows up that's on the hot seat is Nick Sirianni.
02:00And this is because of the expectations that they have in that city.
02:04There is no doubt about it.
02:05Bryce Harper, you see the heat that he's under.
02:09LeBron James will be facing the same heat, him going into Philadelphia.
02:13Look, that's a heck of a line up there.
02:16Maxie, Edgecombe, Jalen Brown, LeBron James, and of course, the road cone, as I call him,
02:23Joel Embiid.
02:25Joel Embiid has got to play north of 40 ballgames.

02:30Get this.
02:31In his time, he has averaged 45 games over his nine years as a player for the 76ers.
02:39Dude, you got to play north of that.
02:40Former MVP a couple years back, he's got to play to that for him again.
02:45Everyone remembers the rim out.
02:47You know, the Kawhi Leonard, Toronto Raptors, that opening round series, the winner of that
02:52series, in my opinion, would have gone on to win the NBA championship because the Raptors
02:56ended up going on and winning an NBA championship.
03:00Hey, look, people say this all the time about Embiid.
03:03Arguably one of the greatest players in 76er history.
03:06Well, Moses Malone would have something else to say about that.
03:09That 83 team will go down as one of the greatest NBA teams in the history of sports, not just
03:16in the history of the NBA.
03:19Four, four, four, and four.
03:20Everyone remembers Moses with his proclamation.
03:24And that team was playing in the era of Bird and also Magic Johnson.
03:29So many great teams were playing in that era.
03:32And Dr. J on that team, this could go down as arguably one of the best teams and one of
03:37the greatest moves in Philadelphia sports history.
03:40Look, this is almost the equivalent of Tom Brady going to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and
03:46trying to get another championship.
03:48Remember, Brady went down to Tampa Bay and they had a loaded roster.
03:52Brady was looking for the right coach.
03:54He was looking for the right roster.
03:56And he landed in Tampa with Mike Evans and with Bruce Aarons.
04:01That's kind of what LeBron has done here.
04:04Look at what you have.
04:05You have Bob Myers running the whole shop.
04:07There's old Daryl Morey in there who never accomplished anything.
04:11His biggest accomplishment was when can I sign James Harden?
04:15What did that ever get him in the end?
04:17Nothing.
04:18Now you have Bob Myers constructing a basketball team that's going to give LeBron James an opportunity
04:24to win a championship in one of the toughest sports cities in all of America.
04:30And that is the city of brotherly love.
04:32What an absolute great opportunity.
04:34And by the way, you got to hand it to LeBron here.
04:38He's not chasing any kind of records here.
04:41He's not chasing money.
04:43He's playing for the league minimum.
04:45Four years, eight million bucks.
04:48Or excuse me, two years, eight million dollars.
04:51This guy's playing for four million a year.
04:53So this is not about going and getting max contracts any longer.
04:57This is going and trying to maximize his last and final opportunities to make the argument
05:04that he's the greatest player in the history of the NBA.
05:08What a statement by LeBron.
05:11I know some people aren't for this.
05:13Some people don't like this move.
05:15I think this is the first move in LeBron's career that's really a basketball move.
05:21And not just a LeBron brand move.
05:24This is about winning here.
05:26This is about putting a championship and another ring on your finger and making the goat argument even tougher.
