00:00National League Cy Young Award winner. Boy, Mizorowski has really taken control over this
00:04one. It was funny that Sanchez had such a great May. We thought it was a guarantee that he was
00:08going to be the guy. But look, there's a different way, Tom, as we've talked about playing this stuff
00:13with these guys. Sanchez starts Sunday night against the Yankees. That could be a game changer
00:18for him. If he has a great start, they're being very careful with Mizorowski, as you mentioned.
00:22I still think this is TBD. Oh, I think it's TBD. I think the 65% chance
00:29for Mizorowski and 11% for Chris Ames. I think that's a bit too much. If we were here a
00:35month
00:35from now, we're talking about the end of August, leading into September, we're going to have X
00:39amount more starts for each of those pitchers in between now and then. I think that would give us
00:42a clear idea. But when we're talking about 60 some odd days left in the season, I think this is
00:47a bit
00:47much at this point. I would be looking at, again, sell Mizorowski. And I still think he could win
00:51the award, but it's a bit much right now. The Sal Stewart train continues to roll. J.J.
00:58Weatherholt, to me, has been one of the biggest reasons the Cardinals have really moved up here.
01:04But it seems like Stewart got off to such a great start, and he's banked so many stats, Tom. And
01:09the
01:09other thing, too, is that if you have a rookie that wins the rookie of the year, you get a
01:14pick
01:14in the draft, an extra one here. So the Reds are really looking toward the future. I would guess it
01:19ends up being Stewart, but could you see Weatherholt moving up here a little more? Or, I mean, the Pirates
01:24have a couple of guys, by the way, that have had great years. This kid Valdez came out of nowhere.
01:28Yeah, I could certainly see Weatherholt moving up and or winning the award. Sal Stewart's put up a
01:34great year. Weatherholt is obviously getting headlines because he signs the contract extension.
01:39I see this as pretty much of a coin flip race. I don't think the gap is as big as
01:44we're seeing
01:44right now. I think Sal Stewart will climb his way back into the picture. And listen, if the Cardinals
01:49start to slip overall, I'm not going to say Weatherholt's going to be slipping, but it does present
01:54an opening for Sal Stewart to continue to move up. There was a report Sunday that said that
02:00John Mozalak is going to stay on as GM of the Los Angeles Angels. That's good news for them. He'll
02:07provide a lot of stability for that team. I know that Cardinals fans weren't thrilled at the end
02:11of his tenure, but you look at all the World Series that that guy won, undeniable, did a great job
02:16with
02:16St. Louis. How about executive of the year, Tom, in Major League Baseball? Certainly a lot of different
02:23choices that you could go with here. And certainly this moves up and down throughout the course of the
02:28year. But Chris Getz and the job that he's done with the White Sox has to be considered. No one
02:33had the
02:33White Sox being 500, let alone competing for the division. Yeah, I think the division is important in this
02:41market because if they just make the postseason as a wildcard team and Pittsburgh makes the postseason
02:47as a wildcard team, how do you evaluate one over another? Like, oh, they both weren't expected,
02:53but they both made the postseason. How is one dramatically better? I still think that you should
02:57be looking at the Rays as an option. They are never viewed as the favorite in the AL East and
03:04the Yankees
03:04are there and the AL champs from last year are there with the Blue Jays. And yet if the Rays
03:08win the AL East,
03:10there's always going to be a conversation between Manager of the Year or Executive of the Year.
03:15Yeah, and this is very much a TBD award too on all of the prediction markets, Tom, because,
03:20you know, Ben Charrington is out there. I mean, could the Pirates make some moves,
03:24make the postseason? This guy could end up winning Charrington 20% right now on Kalshi.
03:30And Sam wants Paul Toboni to win the Executive of the Year. I don't know,
03:33they probably have to make the postseason.
