04:30and Molly O'Callaghan. Stroke a stroke into this first turn. Here's Molly O'Callaghan looking very strong here. Superb
04:38underwaters. So it's O'Callaghan leads from Pallister in second, third is Colbert, fourth is Fairweather. But it is still
04:43Molly O'Callaghan with that really nice stroke. She's got the expertise and that
04:48strength to make it look really comfortable and smooth. Using her legs now, Lani really starting to battle it, trying
04:55to pick up her stroke rate. She's really revving it now, putting pressure on Molly coming into this turn. I
05:00think we're going to see Molly really stay under that water a bit longer. How much distance can she get?
05:06Oh, not too much. Lani is starting to challenge her a bit more but Molly's now responding. Well, this is
05:12very interesting indeed. Molly O'Callaghan has just gone well so far. Can she hold on here? Can she win

05:18second gold of the championships? Wonderful by 103 last night. Coming back at her at Pallister in lane four. Pallister's
05:24having a crack at O'Callaghan. The Olympic champion closest to us. Pallister's going to be very close indeed. Also
05:30going well is Fairweather that O'Callaghan wins the gold. Wow, right on the last stroke. Molly O'Callaghan wins
05:36the gold and the women's 200 in his freestyle. A super swim from her. The silver's gone to Lani Pallister,
05:43her teammate from Australia.
05:44Yep. But still great race overall and to clinch that gold medal over Lani Pallister. Well, we should say that
05:52Molly O'Callaghan had just one gold there. She's actually, she's got a fracture and a smile.
05:57She nearly didn't come to the Commonwealth Games. Took a couple of her doctor's views. They said no and then
06:02another one said yes. She said I'll take that one. It's a tough thing to deal with that and then
06:08come and win the 203.
06:09Train and, you know, not make it worse. So she's obviously got a good doctor who's able to keep her
06:15on straight and narrow and make sure...
06:18So the full line-up is Gamma van Dijk of Canada at one. Then it's Louise Felix of England at
06:23two. The teammates of Georgia Sheffield in three. Then four is Bethany Firth. The world record from the Poppy Maskell
06:29very good at five for England.
06:31And the Turner of Australia at six of Rose Williams of Wales closest to us at seven.
06:36Yeah, and we can see it is Maskell in five and that Red Hat closest to us and Firth leading
06:42the way in the early stages.
06:44They swim very similarly down at the first 100 metres. Letty Firth touched 28.92 to defeat there. Just 0
06:52.19 ahead of Maskell. And again off the wall pretty much together.
06:57Firth, a very good sprinter. Maskell has an excellent 100 metres butterfly. And so she knows she's got a strong
07:04finish.
07:06Well, she will have a good finish, Maskell, with that 100 fly. But Firth is the world record holder on
07:12this event, the 200 freestyle.
07:13That world record, well, 2.0 really quick. She set it in this pool back in 2016 in Glasgow.
07:21She split what she split there, 60.6. She could do it off that, but she's got to go pretty
07:26even split. Bit of an ask, but still certainly potential for defending that title.
07:32Yeah, Firth has gone very quickly here in Birmingham. She split that 60.02, but also going well is Georgia
07:40Sheffield.
07:41So often one of these athletes misses out on the podium, so they're learning all the time and not wanting
07:47to be that one.
07:48And Sheffield is a relative newcomer, but she gets better every time she gets in the water.
07:54And she is now in the lead as they go down this final 50 metres. And she's got the fight
08:01because, like I said, so often she's been the one to miss out.
08:05Well, Sheffield looks fantastic here, doesn't she? She was on a relay that won the World Championship gold and she's
08:11going very well in three.
08:12She's starting to swim away here from Bethany Firth. This is interesting. Maskill's still going well. Battle for silver and
08:18bronze, but look at Georgia Sheffield.
08:20And Georgia Sheffield from England is going to be the new Commonwealth Champion on the women's S14 200 metres freestyle.
08:27Wow, what a wonderful swim that was. 206.07. That's an outstanding swim, a new Commonwealth Games record for her.
08:35What a swim that was from Georgia Sheffield. And the pacing was perfect.
08:40Yeah, and as we said, so often the S14 athletes, pacing is a challenge for them.
08:45And in the past, she's gone out and then has really paid for it in the later stages. She's going
08:49to be very upset.
08:50Some of the S14 athletes, they get really emotional if the result doesn't go all the way.
08:54And she did just ask, did I win? That she was patient. And again, with the S14 athletes, often the
08:59coaches will say,
09:00stick with this person and then go at a certain point. And Sheffield played that to perfection.
09:07Did she just, she was so, she swam it so well. And at the 100 metres she was third.
09:13And then moved up to second at the 150. And my goodness me, no doubt about the lead at the
09:18end. So she won it by 1.3.
09:20Yeah, and she's got the fastest time in the world this year to get that as well.
09:24So she saved her best performance for here in Glasgow. So the other athletes can't be too disappointed.
09:30They lost.
09:30She's now the world's fastest this year by 1.5 seconds on the 200 freestyle. Brilliant stuff from her.
09:37Yeah, and like I said, so often she's been there or thereabouts. So she really should take this moment on
09:44top of the podium and enjoy.
10:06Georgia Sheffield is the new Commonwealth champion of the women's S14 200 metres freestyle. Super swim from her.
10:11third of the 100 and then moved through the second of the 150 and that final 50
10:16outstanding from her Poppy Maskell on the left-hand side there wins the silver
10:23so that was the women's S14s now we've got the men's S14s the same event of the
10:29S14s 200 metres freestyle the fastest seed is Will Ellard of England in four
10:35Ireland of Australia in five Derby of Wales in three
10:43well in the heats this morning Will Ellard certainly tested the pace to break that
10:48world record on the 100 metres he was very quick 53 to his feet on that 100 and he's got

11:04record pace 122 06 he turned in 122 2 8 in Singapore so now the crowd will try to bring

12:03Ellard is the new Commonwealth champion 200 freestyle
12:08William Ellard of England very nearly broke the world record a new games record 151.6
12:15just six tenths of a second outside of his own world record super swimming from him
12:22and then the new
12:23and then the new
12:28yeah well Ellard is the Commonwealth champion of he's S14 200 meters freestyle and he did it in style
12:37won the race by 3.56 seconds outstanding swim from as tiny margins
12:49well making the final to the final this
12:55it's the final of the 100 meters breaststroke the Commonwealth Games here in Glasgow and this
12:59is going to be fascinating and I think the best start was Michael Julio of South Africa
13:03the white hat up there in two and as I said in the heat he went ridiculously quit to 50
13:08he's going out super fast again look at that on the top there he is taking it out like a
13:13storm
13:13he's absolutely flying on this first 50 but he has another 50 to do after this
13:18one so 26 3 6 he did split previously just slightly off that so will he be hanging on
13:24on the second 50 he's going to be hunted down by the rest of the field great turn
13:28there from Adam Ramsey Petey and Sam Williamson well also a great turn from Novakki so Novakki is one
13:37lane closer to us from the white hat of Julio I think Julio's well he's still holding on
13:41coming back is Williamson Williamson in the yellow hat Ramsey Petey right in the
13:45centre in the red hat Novakki is coming through in three Williamson in five Ramsey Petey in four
13:51Novakki in three I think Williamson is going to get it he does Williamson gets the goal 59 1 7
13:57and
13:57that was so close Sam Williamson wins gold for Australia and that's a massive victory for him
14:04I've got to say Ramsey Petey he's going to have to be satisfied this time with the bronze what a
14:11swim I
14:11mean fantastic from Sam Williamson really timed up to perfection towards the end to just get that win
14:17over Filip Novakki Filip Novakki was coming back really strong really smooth and interestingly he
14:23does look a lot smaller compared to the other athletes so it goes to show his technique and timing is
14:29very very good on this slow-mo shot here coming into the wall you can see Sam just timing that

14:36just enough to get that win over Filip Novakki there but what a swim from the young jersey swimmer
14:42bit of history there well that's funky glasses as well love those look at that gosh absolutely love
14:54them the way he did it it was perfect so I'm it just beautifully second at the 50 and then

15:0150 was really really good and the new
15:1011 gold medals for Australia some really special swimming and I've got to say that's an outstanding
15:17one to take on the world record holder he's not quite on his on his best form on the right

15:23they're taking it very well though Adam Ramsey PT on the right six months well amazing swim

15:37so it's generally two men and two women you can put them in any order but you really shouldn't put
15:41the
15:41women in first because they get swamped these big guys absolutely huge and a super start already
15:46from Flint Southam but he's from the 11 fastest time in history leading on their men's team
15:52at 47-09 what can he do here we'll wait and see whether he's going to break the Kings record
15:57again but he is being hotly challenged by Matt Richards
16:00Matt Richards had a fantastic start there that's how the focus in Zealand and Kyle Chalmers
16:06he's looking very strong here that big outdoor mode he's got on his legs powering through
16:11powering him through to the last stretch of this 25 meters but Dan Jones just trying to hang on for
16:18that second spot but Team England coming through very very quick
16:21well I say that was a tight takeover
16:24my word but it's 0.13 is fine but that looks very tight indeed
16:28well where are they going to go
16:29whilst Australia Hamlet commanding lead the minor medal fight is just as exciting at the back
16:34but it is Meg Harris looking very strong head down not breathing
16:39increasing a stroke rate powering Australia to another gold medal moment
16:44but second third who's going to come in those positions
16:47so it is the final look here for Meg Harris it's a wonderful swing for Team Australia
16:53really tight, scored the 7 in third but Australia going to win this final
