00:08I mean, what they've done and how they've been able to stay in pace right now in the American League
00:15East with that payroll and how they've been able to stay ahead of the New York Yankees has been remarkable.
00:23And this goes down to the managing of Kevin Cash. Look, look at all the players that they've had go
00:31into the all-star game we just saw last week.
00:33And on top of that, they've won 60 ballgames in the first half with $107 million payroll.
00:42It is easily the story of the year. And you got to say, look, when you've got guys like Junior
00:47Cam and Arrow that are on that baseball team,
00:49and you've got an opportunity to win the way that they win, it's really remarkable.
00:54Do you know that in the last 15 years, the fourth winningest team in all of Major League Baseball has
01:03been the Tampa Bay Rays?
01:05What a storyline. I mean, it has been absolutely one of the best stories that we've seen in all of
01:12Major League Baseball.
01:13And for the job that Eric Neander has done, the general manager of that team, it has absolutely been an
01:20incredible run here.
01:21So without further ado here, we're going to bring in our friend Bobby Valentine and get his thoughts.
01:27Bobby, am I right? One of the storylines that we've seen in the first half of the season has been
01:32this Rays team and how well they've done.
01:34They're in first place, though, in the AL East.

01:47The Rays are the model organization.
01:49People never give them the credit that they deserve.
01:52It's been year in and year out since Stu Sternberg bought that team and now sold it.
01:58That organization gets it, and I am not sure what that magic potion is.
02:03Whatever it is, they should bottle it up and sell it on the street corner.
