00:00All right. LBJ goes to Philadelphia and the city of brotherly love.
00:04Incredible. I mean, with all the choices that he had,
00:07especially with him taking the league minimum for him,
00:11having the opportunity to go and chase rings. Let's just say what this is.
00:15He is chasing rings. And this is a good thing.
00:19Instead of being a guy who's being accused of padding stats,
00:22he's going to try to win another NBA championship.
00:26They've got the best starting five now, in my opinion, in the Eastern conference.
00:30If he would have went to Miami, you're sitting there maybe thinking,
00:34bam, Giannis and him. And then what else?
00:36But now with what you have with Edgecombe and with Maxie and with Jalen Brown,
00:42you put Embiid in there and now you have LeBron.
00:45I mean, you give yourself the best chance to win an NBA championship.
00:49And it's got to come through the Eastern conference.
00:52Everyone knows if he would have stayed with the Los Angeles Lakers,
00:54the opportunity for him to get through OKC or San Antonio was not big,
01:00but now his road and his path to potentially winning that fifth NBA championship.
01:05And by the way, in a fourth different city.
01:08So let's put that GOAT conversation back on the table here.
01:13If this guy wins a fourth NBA championship in four different cities,
01:18and let's say he wins the MVP award in the finals,
01:22you've got to make the conversation.
01:24This guy's delivered in every single city that he has gone to.
01:29Look,
01:29we're not talking about a guy here that's not going to be a difference maker.
01:33Look,
01:34I compared this this week on one of my other shows to Messi going to enter Miami.
01:40Look,
01:40you're not getting Messi Barcelona,
01:42but what we saw in the World Cup,
01:44you're getting one of the greatest athletes of all time.
01:47You're getting one of the greatest NBA players of all time in LeBron James.
01:51Look,
01:52he could easily be a guy who's going after and just going and padding stats.
01:57He could go anywhere and do what he wants when it comes to padding those stats and make the argument
02:01that he is the GOAT.
02:02He is the all time leading scorer in NBA history.
02:05So at the end of the day here,
02:07this move is clearly about chasing rings.
02:11Good for him,
02:12man.
02:12I got to tell you,
02:14LeBron wants that final ring and maybe two rings.
02:17And I'll say to people last shows,
02:20what do you think of him's chances of winning the NBA championship?
02:23You know,
02:24usually you make an argument that the Sixers are one of the worst run organizations.
02:29No way.
02:30I got to give it to Josh Harris to the owner of the team.
02:34Since Josh Harris has taken that team over.
02:36Now you're getting a new arena in Philadelphia.
02:39You went out and you got rid of that stiff general manager and Daryl Morey.
02:44And you brought in one of the greatest minds in NBA history and Bob Myers.
02:49Let's not forget something with Bob Myers.
02:51Bob Myers built that golden state warrior dynasty with Steph Curry and them guys.
02:57I mean,
02:58he built that dynasty.
03:00They weren't a very big basketball team.
03:02And that's kind of what the Sixers team looks like with this starting five.
03:05Not really a lot of size with this team.
03:08However,
03:09you got Bob Myers,
03:10dude.
03:10So he goes out,
03:12he gets rid of that Paul George contract,
03:15sends it up to Boston.
03:16And in return,
03:17he gets Jalen Brown.
03:18And then he turns around a couple months later and gets LeBron James.
03:23What a stroke of genius.
03:24That is by Josh Harris,
03:26the owner of the 76ers.
03:28Great move running that organization.
03:31And now LeBron James is in the city of brotherly love,
03:35trying to win his fifth NBA championship and giving that goat argument.
03:40If he can do it and get across the finish line,
03:43he makes that a strong argument for being the greatest basketball player that's
03:47ever lived.
