Experts are calling for more awareness and support for parents in dealing with children who display aggressive behaviours in the home. Conversations about adolescent violence were thrust into the spotlight this week, following an alleged family violence homicide in Perth.

00:36Speaking generally, forensic psychologist Dr Watts highlighting the importance of addressing aggressive behaviours early.

00:53According to WA Police Commissioner Cole Blanche, adolescent violence in the home is increasing, but it's significantly underreported.
01:04He says parents are understandably reluctant to report their children to police.
