00:00Today we're announcing an indictment here in the Western District of Texas of the 11 individuals that we've identified to
00:07date that operated this alien smuggling organization and caused the death of these seven individuals. The indictment is unsealed as
00:15of this morning, and the defendants in that case include four U.S. citizens, five illegal aliens, and two lawful
00:22permanent residents. Two defendants are still at large.

00:37The investigation revealed in this case that the ultimate destination for these aliens who began their journey in Del Rio
00:44was likely San Antonio.
00:47Once the train got to San Antonio, this alien smuggling organization that facilitated the movement of these individuals opened the
00:56train car doors.
00:58There was one individual inside that then fell out of the car.
01:01They left that individual for dead there by the tracks in San Antonio, closed the door to the container, and
01:09sent the train on its way.
01:10The train ultimately ending up in Laredo, Texas, where the other six bodies were found.
01:17One of those individuals frantically contacted their family as they were dying from the sweltering heat in that container.
01:26The message today, other than announcing the indictment itself, is this.
